What Are Your Spiritual Gifts?: Tarot Pick a Card
Everybody has a spiritual gift, but most people don’t awaken this gift. If you were attracted to this tarot reading, then the universe thinks you can start using a new gift or empower an existing one.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. Which animal stands out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Fountain Tarot and the Mystical Shaman Oracle decks while the animals are from an Acekar Sticker Pack (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase).
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out what your spiritual gift is.
Pile 1: Dog
Gift of Magic
Your spiritual gift is magic due to The Sorcerer card in your spread. It seems like you have a latent talent for witchcraft and manifesting things into reality that didn’t exist before.
This is an amazing gift and a very powerful responsibility. While everyone can use magic, it seems like your ability to use spells and other magical elements surpasses other people.
However, the other two cards in your spread suggest a blockage. The first of these cards is the Nine of Cups, Reversed. This is about wishes going unfulfilled.
I don’t think you’re using your magical ability for yourself enough. Instead, you’re using your energy on things that aren’t worthwhile or for other people.
It’s good to be generous and it’s good to spread your energy around. But right now, it seems like your energy is thin and you’re not able to fully use your natural gifts.
This is why you may struggle to manifest some things that you want in life. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way.
Using Your Magic
I think something which will help you is ritual. Magic exists all around us and in many forms, but the popular idea of magic tends to be ceremonial in effect. Using formal magic, such as spells, divination, herbalism, and more will allow you to concentrate your energy into the action of ritual.
This will help rebalance you and pour more of your personal energy into what you value. That’s because formal magic is intentional and that’s something you need right now.
The next card in your spread is The Magician, Reversed. A few things are going on here, but the most important is that you haven’t embraced the identity of a magician yet.
Perhaps you reject the idea of magic. This could be because you were influenced by Hollywood concepts and don’t realize that magic is more grounded and practical in its application than the special effects movies and other pop culture have shown you.
You may also associate magic with evil. That’s because people separate the wonder of formal religion from the wonder of folk practices.
But I want you to reframe the narrative. Magic, or at least the magic you should use, is something that helps people. As long as you aren’t hurting yourself or other people, it’s not evil.
Do Your Research
A second meaning of your final card is that you’re not prepared to use your magic effectively. You need to do more research on magic to find the methods you like best.
There are a lot of options. My favorite magic is the Law of Attraction and divination, but you may prefer herbalism or spells.
Know that you don’t have to do every type of magic out there. You may find that your preferences are broad, but some who choose this pile may only like one type and specialize in that.
Embrace what you’re drawn to and allow yourself the curiosity to become an expert. You’ll be surprised by how powerful you’ll become.

Pile 2: Walrus
Connected to Higher Realms
With your first card being the Upper World, it seems as if your spiritual gift is being connected to other realms. This would be most strongly represented by relationships with spirit guides, but it can include things like lucid dreaming or channeling too.
This would be the kind of gift you’d expect from a psychic. Now I’m not talking about divination like tarot (which anyone can learn to do), but clairvoyance that goes beyond training. You have a natural ability to know things about the world other people don’t. That’s because you have connections to higher planes of existence.
Some who chose this pile may sense or see ghosts.
But there’s an indication in your spread that you aren’t fully realizing this gift. The second card in your spread, Knight of Cups, Reversed, means you’re disillusioned.
It’s possible that you’re blocked from sensing the other planes or you don’t want to reopen that connection because of past negative experiences. Both are reasonable as not every spirit is good-natured.
However, most spirits are, and if you refine your natural gifts, this can be an ability that empowers you instead of scares you.
Let Yourself Dream
Something else I sense from your second card is dreams. I believe your soul is intimately connected to the upper world and this is most prevalent when you’re dreaming. That’s because your physical body is numb from sleep and your spirit can ascend.
If you haven’t done this already, keep a dream journal. Most people forget their dreams a few minutes after waking up, so you’ll want to keep this journal by your bed. If you’re too tired to write in the morning you can use the audio recording feature on your phone and briefly describe your experience.
Many of your dreams will have an obvious narrative or message, but some of you will experience more symbolism than others. Consider investing in a dream symbols book. Just make sure that you get a book that’s relevant to your culture. If you’re Japanese, an American dream dictionary is unlikely to be entirely relevant.
Once you’re well versed in your dreamscape, begin exploring lucid dreaming and even astral projection if it interests you. These are effective ways to connect to other realms.
Be Mindful of This World
Your final card, Eight of Coins, Reversed, pinpoints some possible issues to be aware of. This card can be described as not working hard enough, and while I think that’s true because of your previous card, I also think this describes being untethered from reality.
Be aware that using your spiritual gift is not without danger. While your body is unlikely to be harmed, altering your state of consciousness can be very draining. You need to go at a gentle pace.
That’s why many of you should consider grounding your spiritual gifts in a relationship with spirit guides and other entities. Instead of only exploring your gift by leaving this world, try accessing spiritual energy in this one. Guided meditations for spirit guides and even ghost hunting can be excellent activities.
Let yourself explore your psychic abilities until you find a level that you’re comfortable with.

Pile 3: Flamingo
Protector and Destroyer
You have an interesting spiritual gift! The first card in your spread, The Curse, means that you have magnetic energy. You can either curse someone or break a curse!
If you were ever wronged in life and witnessed the person responsible suffer unimaginable karma, you may have put a curse on them without knowing it.
While some people deserve their just desserts, it’s easy to let your gift out of control. Some who chose this pile may even be realizing that a curse they put against someone in the past came back to haunt themselves!
It’s unlikely that this is your only spiritual gift, but it seems like the universe wants to highlight it in this reading so you’re aware of your powers and can use them for good.
I don’t consider this an unlucky gift as it imbues powerful protective energy on your person. You can use it to shield yourself or others.
Physical Side Effects Can Happen
The next two cards describe what would happen if you used your gift to curse or shield others.
Your second card in the spread is Ace of Coins, Reversed. Your ability has the power to stop manifestation or create a tangible disorder in somebody’s life. That’s because your influence on karma can change the destiny of someone’s life (including your own).
You may find that you can curse someone to suffer misfortune or ill health. But be aware choosing to do such an action may result in the same coming back onto you if the person did not truly deserve it.
That’s why you must consider the moral imperative of any curse you do. In general, I always recommend against it as the person did not go through a court of law and it seems like a spiritual assault. For that reason, it would be better to direct this negative energy towards energetic cord-cutting instead.
Make Luck, Not War
Your last card is the Two of Coins. This is about balance, but in particular, this card uses the infinity symbol and I see that as you tapping into the karmic energy of the universe.
I think you’re constantly going to find yourself tempted between good and evil, but you’ll usually choose good and bless others instead.
The result of this is that you will feel abundant energy around you and witness the people you care about attract good things to them. I think that’s because you’ll find a way to co-create with the universe that respects free will but also speeds positive karma along.
But, like the card you see here, your gift will always exist without a chaotic environment. Bad things are going to happen to you as it does to anyone and you’ll be tempted to use your gift to exact revenge. Know that’s not what the universe wants you to do: you have the power to protect, not just destroy.
Understand that your thoughts and words have power, so guard your tongue. Affirmations and other charms will be especially useful and potent in your life. Some who choose this pile may even find channeling their energy into creating good luck charms to be especially rewarding.
Spread the love and you’ll be admired by the universe for appropriately using your spiritual gift.
