How to Be Wealthy: Tarot Pick a Card
Have you ever wondered what your potential is to be wealthy? With this tarot pick a card, you can find out your current momentum is towards being rich so you can either embrace that path or change course if things aren’t looking favorable.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. Which marker of wealth stands out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Golden Art Nouveau Tarot and the Spirit Animal Oracle decks (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s figure out how you can make some money.
Pile 1: Coins
Be the Conduit for Wealth
Your first card is Dragonfly Spirit with the wisdom message of “Truth transcends illusion.” Judging by the rest of your spread, it’s not going to be easy to become wealthy. However, that’s not exactly an unusual destiny, so let’s get into the reason why you’ll struggle so you can begin to overcome it.
This card suggests that you’re not seeing things accurately. Someone or something has caused you to see the world in a way that prevents you from accumulating wealth. This obscured vision is not the truth and it’s harming you.
The reality is that you can become wealthy, but there’s an unnatural obstacle in front of you or at least an obstacle that is far easier to overcome than you realize. Essentially, all you have to do to defeat it is change your mind.
But this isn’t going to require a rational or logical approach. The dragonfly here is associated with spirituality. I strongly recommend looking into the Law of Attraction and practicing some of those principles. Some of you will choose other spiritual paths, but know that there is something here about uniting the spiritual and material world in personal practice. Law of Attraction is just one really good modern example of that.
The Bad Must End
The next card is Judgement, Reversed. Yes, you’re struggling with feelings of doubt and wondering if you’re even capable of reaching great wealth. However, this isn’t all on you. Your struggles are from some sort of judgemental force. Someone or something got in your way. It wasn’t your fault. It was a power greater than you could have dealt with at the time.
I think the effect of this judgemental obstacle warped your mind. Instead of seeing this obstacle as temporary, you saw it as permanent. This reminds me of Americans who don’t take high school seriously and feel like they can never get into college once they realize their mistake as an adult. This is ridiculous because of the sheer number of cheap community colleges that have no entrance requirements.
The reality is that you certainly had an opportunity or missed an opportunity. You likely think your environment isn’t productive to your financial goals. But if you look closer, there’s at least one possibility that can work for you. It may require a little bit of effort, but it’s an effort I think you’re more than capable of doing and finding personally fulfilling.
Assistance Is Nearby
Your final card here is Five of Pentacles. Don’t despair over the image on this card, as I interpret it to be very positive in your spread. Yes, it’s possible you can continue on and fail to become wealthy. However, if you lean into a spiritual solution, you’ll find refuge.
The meaning of this card is that the two vagrants are out in the cold. However, they don’t realize help is closer than they think: were they to go to the church, they’d receive the charity they need.
Help or a solution to help you overcome your financial obstacles is at hand. You may need to look back at something in your past (or something you turned away from). Some of you may also find the kindness of direct charity to give you leverage. There seems to be a spiritual element to this someone too. You’ll probably be guided towards it through your intuition. Trust this gut feeling.
You can be wealthy. It’s just about overcoming some sort of mental obstacle by transcending that mindset through spiritual support.

Pile 2: Piggybank
Money As a Tool
I see that the first card in your spread is Owl Spirit with the wisdom message of “You see clearly now.” Because of the rest of your spread, I sense that you’re not as preoccupied with wealth as much as others. That’s not to say you don’t want wealth or that you don’t value it, but that there’s something else that you prioritize more: knowledge.
Your goal isn’t to be rich. Rather, wealth to you serves as a tool and isn’t the end goal. If you’ve struggled with finances before, the reason why is that you’re denying your soul’s true relationship to money: as a means to an end instead of the end.
Most people see wealth as tangible trophies of their efforts in life. These trophies can be admired or used to make life easier.
But your relationship with money doesn’t work that way. Instead, wealth serves as a foundation or stepping stone to your higher purpose. Wealth is how you make your higher purpose easier to achieve.
I once watched a financial documentary and one of the figures in it wanted to be a philanthropist to do good in the world. They realized that one of the best ways to do that was to become wealthy, so they organized their life around getting a good job and building a personal fortune. After all, ten percent of a high salary is greater than ten percent of a lower one.
That’s the kind of relationship with money you should have: it helps you do what you want to do.
You Don’t Have to Follow the Rules
Your next card, The Magician, Reversed, has two possible meanings. The traditional one would be that you don’t have all the things you need to manifest. I don’t hate that interpretation here, but since wealth is a tool and not a goal, I think we need to approach this meaning differently.
Right now, you don’t know how to use wealth building as a tool. Perhaps you’ve been influenced by society to be materialistic so you have a toxic relationship with money. Or some who chose this pile may reject wealth because it’s a sign of evil and exploiting people.
This is where the second meaning is important for this card: you have an upside-down perspective of wealth. What the world tells you to do with money isn’t going to work for you.
For example, it’s usually a good idea to go to college if you want to make a lot of money. But it’s not the only way to make a fortune.
Consider what sort of things you’ve been told in the past about wealth. Write them down as a list. Then consider how you can approach each “rule” differently. Spend some time brainstorming here.
Not all of them are going to apply to your personal life, but you need to see the other options available to really understand that wealth isn’t a path with a destination for you, but a tool. And some tools can be used in many different ways for many different projects.
Wealth Is Possible
The third card is the Seven of Wands, Reversed. Building wealth isn’t going to be as hard for you as it would be for others. I do think it’ll be challenging if you only pursue it in the standard way. However, if you choose to approach wealth-building at least a little differently, you’ll be surprised by how much it matches your personal style and gives you an edge.

Pile 3: Cash
More Than One Way
Your spread is rather fun and with a lot of possibilities. The first card is Horse Spirit with the wisdom message of “Freedom is yours.” You have immense potential to build wealth at a high level, though I think you’ll go about it expansively.
This isn’t to say you’ll be careless, which is something you may think with the word “freedom” being present here and the possible association with wild horses. But instead, the expansiveness I see is in all the ways you will achieve your wealth.
You won’t achieve wealth with a singular method. Simply saving money from your job, investing, or starting a business isn’t it. At least, but if you’re only doing one of those. If you start combining opportunities, you’ll see that the sheer potential you have to attract wealth is rather endless.
This isn’t professional financial advice, but something silly like NFTs wouldn’t be ridiculous for you. While you should certainly do your research, you may be more successful at taking risks than others.
Look Beyond Your Own Borders
When I first saw your next card, The World, I got a strong sense that you’ll travel. This travel is literal. In some way, your wealth is tied to globetrotting. This could take the form of being a digital nomad, taking a job in a foreign country, or investing overseas,
The reason why you have such potential internationally isn’t that you won’t have luck at home. Rather, it’s a sign that you can become wealthy anywhere. Feel free to take on different projects and try things out. If you want to start multiple businesses – do it. But be aware of the next card.
Not Everything Will Work Out, But That’s Okay
Your last card, Seven of Pentacles, is a good one, but it comes with a caveat: you will start many ventures… and not all of them will succeed.
Because I sense this in a deep part of your soul, you’ve probably already experienced this before. You tried something to increase your wealth, but it failed.
Wealth building is a skill. A skill you possess and can improve. But beginners often make a lot of mistakes.
These mistakes are going to continue as you go about building your fortune. Consider more conservative approaches in the beginning until you build up your confidence. Never invest in something which could ruin you if it fails. Always hold something back for a rainy day.
This isn’t merely a matter of money, either. Make sure that whatever projects you choose to put your time and energy into also match your values and your interests. It will do you no good to open a restaurant if you hate the industry. Similarly, if you love something like art, doing something in that field will likely present you with more opportunities you’d like to pursue than others would even dream of attempting.
Wealth building isn’t just a wild chance: it’s a game of competence. Find where you’re competent, and it seems you have at least a few areas, and really dive into it. Some of those projects will manifest and result in a much larger financial portfolio than you have now.
Accept with grace your failures and embrace your successes. Abundance is more than possible for you. It’s practically inevitable if you move in the direction where your competence lies.
