Why Karma Attracts Specific People to You
The people we know in our current lives are often the same people we met in our past lives.
But why? What is it about our relationships with specific people that cause them to be attracted to us again and again over time?
Fortunately, the answer is simple: you’re made of energy and like attracts like. There’s an attachment between you two that hasn’t been broken at a karmic level.
It’s a Matter of Astronomical Fate
Everything in the universe is made of energy. It can’t be created or destroyed, merely transformed.
That means energy is a constant principle of the universe and has existed since the beginning of time. Life hasn’t always existed, but some of that energy transformed into unicellular life, plants, dinosaurs, primates, and humans.
When energy interacts with each other, a transformation process occurs. On a spiritual level, your relationship with other people is also a transformative process.
This is karma: the cause-and-effect system of the universe. Unresolved karma leads to relationships persisting across lifetimes.
Your Divine Energy Connection
Some of this unresolved karma is due to misfortune. You may have a person in your life who seems antagonistic no matter what you do.
But some unresolved karma is positive. There may be a person in your life who just understands you. Your soul doesn’t want to let that person go. You want to hold onto each other until the end of time.
This is how true soulmates are born.
You need to know this because everyone is connected on some level. The same energy that’s around today was present when the universe was created. This will continue to be true forever.
But some energy is closer to you than others if it hasn’t been transformed and transferred somewhere else in the system. That’s why we feel so connected to our ancestors, specific locations, and particular people.
It’s an echo of a past life where certain karma hasn’t been burned away.
How to Break Your Karmic Tie
You probably don’t want to break all your current soul ties, but there may be one you’d like out of your life now and forever.
It’s not impossible, but it does require significant spiritual transformation to change your energy.
Like attracts like. There’s something about your energy that resonates with this person’s energy. That doesn’t mean the negativity you experience is your fault. Don’t make this a moral judgment on yourself.
Let’s use a common life example we probably have all experienced: imagine a student who needs to give their first presentation in front of a class. They’re nervous. So nervous in fact that they can’t even practice effectively and they’re unprepared for the actual presentation when it arrives.
This person never had the chance to embody a powerful energy and manifest a good performance because the only energy they had was low-vibrational anxiety.
The Key You Need
Energy can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. This is why people who suffer abuse often attract additional abusers. They embody the energy of a victim so intensely that abusers can identify them and target them with their nefarious intentions.
However, it’s unreasonable to expect someone to raise their vibrations instantly and change their life overnight. Similarly, you won’t be able to break a karmic tie overnight either.
The normal course of events is that you learn karmic lessons from your life experiences and slowly ease your attachment to specific people and their energy over time. Spirituality can help speed this up.
But what’s an actionable thing you can do right now after this reading? Therapy is the non-spiritual method and self-care is another method.
However, shadow work is perhaps the best modern spiritual practice you can try.
Shadow work is about confronting the low-vibrational side of ourselves. Instead of repressing it and letting it fester, you deal with it head-on so you can learn the lessons the universe is trying to teach you in this life.
Approaching Shadow Work Spiritually
Your soul has a high vibration naturally. But when it reincarnates into a body, it has more entropy over time. This continues with each reincarnation. Entropy is a measurement of disorder in a system. This is why you’re a mortal being.
Many things cause entropy, such as aging, but emotional and psychological stress can increase your personal entropy and lower your vibration.
And there’s always an event origin or routine which initiated it. Perhaps that anxious speaker was so nervous because their peers used to make fun of their stutter and that person who was abused and attracted to abusers may have had a bad childhood.
How to approach shadow work spiritually instead of as an exercise of therapy or self-care is to recognize the karmic effect your shadow self has on your soul by the low vibrations it creates in your energy.
I do recommend you try therapy or self-care like journaling, but the spiritual approach you should take is raising your vibrations and embodying positive energy.
Enjoy the Metaphysical
The law of attraction is the most common spiritual practice when it comes to raising your energy. However, any spiritual practice which uplifts your soul should work. That includes prayer, ritual, spells, spiritual communion with others, sacred music, and et cetera.
Approaching your shadow self with a spiritual framework will help break soul ties not just in this life, but in future lives too. It resolves the entropy of the soul.
Just remember that it takes time to transform your energy. Make spirituality a practice instead of a singular moment in time. This is why a spiritual awakening is never just one thing but the start of a whole new life.
Because that’s your goal here: transforming your soul at an energetic level so it attracts better relationships in this life and future lives.
