Your 2023: Tarot Pick a Card
The year is coming to a close and you may be thinking about what’s coming your way in 2023. With this psychic tarot pick a card you can plan ahead and manifest the life you want.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. Which animal or tarot deck stands out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Star Spinner Tarot, Muse Tarot, and Fountain Tarot decks while the animals are from an Acekar Sticker Pack (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase).
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to peer into your 2023.
Pile 1: Dog
Themes
Your first theme card is the Page of Wands. Expect a fiery and adventurous year. There will be many exciting risks you’ll take to improve your life because you’ll be very motivated. Nothing will seem impossible to you and amazing things will happen because of it.
However, the Ten of Swords does indicate that some risks (but not all) will turn into a disaster. You’re going to take on too much and find yourself overwhelmed. Expect your star to burn so hot that it burns you. Yet the bird on this card is a phoenix – you’ll rise from the ashes better than before. No defeat is ultimate. You will overcome anything, even failure itself.
Your third theme card is the Page of Chalices, Reversed. This is the card of unhappy surprises. You’re going to be very optimistic and hope for the best, but something is bound to disappoint you. I would say be careful, and you should, but your spread seems to suggest that you’re going to take risks no matter what. It’s meant to be and you’ve got things you want to do. It’s not a year to be afraid.
The good news is that the “disaster” of your spread seems mostly self-inflicted and is entirely within your control. It may be your higher self pushing you outside your comfort zone to expand the boundaries of your life.
Expect learning pains, but I think it might be necessary. You can’t learn everything from books. Sometimes you need to experience something to truly understand it.
Spirituality
Your spiritual life this year is symbolized by the Nine of Wands card. I think you’re going to push really far when it comes to your life purpose and be victorious. However, you’ll exhaust yourself in the process.
Know that your spirit guides and the universe will stand behind you. They will support and protect you where they can. Strongly consider getting in touch with them this year if you aren’t already. If you’ve established this relationship, it should get stronger.
I do think you should avoid any potentially dangerous spiritual activities. Using a ouija board or trying out psychedelics may turn out poorly for you.
Relationships
A lot is going to happen in your relationships this year. Here you have the Eight of Wands which is about fast movement. This could indicate that some relationships will be in and out of your life. It can also mean that you’ll be more social than normal.
This is a good year to take social risks and it seems like they’ll work out largely in your favor. Try meeting new people or entering a new phase of a relationship.
Dating and other social outings should be especially fun. But such events are likely to require some recovery time the next day!
Career/Hobbies
This card is the Eight of Coins, Reversed. You may not work as hard this year, or at least not with refinement. Some of you may be a bit lazy on the job, especially if your life purpose is not currently related to your day job.
However, every season of life has a new focus and I think you aren’t going to be as interested in the details of your material life. Instead, you’ll want to look toward what inspires you.
This means your work/life balance may be compromised in favor of fun and you’re likely to be a bit unfocused and all over the place. If this starts to cause problems for you, consider investing time into productivity routines.
Don’t go overboard though – I don’t think you have the heart this year to become a disciplined robot.
Personal
This last card represents anything else the universe believes you should know. The card Seven of Wands makes me think you’ll have the high ground, but you’ll have to defend it.
Nobody is going to understand your priorities and you’re going to have to advocate for yourself. I think you’ll be successful but be prepared for some conflict in your life.
Try not to burn any bridges and you’ll be very pleased with your year even if you had some bumps and bruises along the way.

Pile 2: Rhino
Themes
What a happy card to start with! The Four of Inspiration is one of celebration and happy events. That means one of the main themes of the year for you will be happiness. It’s also a sign that you may be marking an important milestone such as a wedding or graduation. Just a lot of joy and simple bliss in this card.
The next is the Muse of Inspiration. I see this as a sign that you’re going to be divinely inspired. Although some people are motivated by struggle, the comfort and security of this year will help you to bloom and pursue your passions.
I also see a gate in this card, so you may cross some sort of threshold that transitions one chapter of your life to the next. Some of you may also find that this is a spiritual threshold, having a spiritual awakening or reaching the next level of a divine connection.
Your last theme card is the Five of Inspiration. This is a card of conflict, but not one of ultimate peril. Instead, your passions will be in contrast to the passion of others. However, I really focus on the person standing on the shoulders of another and looking up. I see that as you: this is a year of possibility and any serious conflict you face will pale in comparison to your desire for better things.
Spirituality
While you should expect to cross a threshold in life, your spirituality card, the Two of Inspiration, Reversed, does indicate a blockage. For those who reach a higher spiritual level it will likely come after some struggle. Not one which will depress you, but will likely frustrate you. Most of the inspiration you feel will therefore be about your life purpose instead of your spiritual connection.
Your spiritual development isn’t something you can plan ahead of time and is something that must be experienced naturally. You may try certain spiritual practices and feel nothing from them. But because of your theme card, I do think you’ll eventually break through – just not in the way you expected.
After all, it was the Muse of Inspiration I pulled and that seems to indicate some divine intervention on the part of the universe.
Relationships
Here you have the Three of Inspiration. Broaden your perspective when it comes to your social life. The universe thinks this is a good year for travel, meeting new friends, or igniting your passions.
Romantically, this bodes well, but be aware that your curiosity could lead you astray if it’s not properly channeled. You may not cheat, but you could develop a crush on someone else. That means if you’re in a relationship you’ll want to explore with your partner through fun date nights or other romantic activities.
Remember that this is a joyous year: include the people you love as much as possible to spend that time with you.
Career/Hobbies
The card Four of Voices, Reversed suggests an awakening. You won’t be as lost in the clouds as you were before and will desire to be rational in your approach to your career or hobbies. This may seem in contrast to the inspirational fire of your theme cards, but see this as a happy balance.
You’re motivated, but you also see the year ahead with clarity. Make big plans and pursue them with vigor, just make sure you have a good one. You may be a bit slow to start, so use the beginning of the year to organize your life instead of hitting the ground running in January.
Personal
Your final card represents any final message the universe wants you to know about the year. The Seven of Materials, Reversed seems to imply that some of your investments may not manifest. I don’t think this is failure – you’re future-oriented this year and the spread reads with novelty.
That means you’re likely to start a lot of projects that won’t finish this year. That’s okay. You’ll likely see some very rewarding progress, but you may need to make adjustments on the way and wait until the next year for everything to pay off.

Pile 3: Flamingo
Themes
On the surface, you have a more difficult year than the other piles, but I think this is the universe putting you in a place where you can grow at the pace you need to manifest the life you want. Your first card, the Eight of Wands, Reversed, means that things are going to get a little slower.
This will come as a relief on some fronts, but you may be frustrated by the speed at which the things you want to happen manifest. Instead of fighting it, use this slower pace to your advantage: put love and care into how you live. Consider researching the slow living movement and applying some of those practices.
The next theme card is Nine of Swords, Reversed. Intensely negative feelings have no place in the next year for you. Anxiety, depression, and perhaps even illness will fade into better health. Enjoy the calm before you speed things up.
The final theme card is Eight of Swords. This is a card of restriction, especially a self-imposed one. Recently I heard a saying that the reason we look at old master painters and classic writers as skillful is that they’re following a set of conventions that restrict them, such as haikus. And people love haikus because you can see what is possible with so few words.
This constraint may be annoying at first, but you’re putting up walls to protect yourself and give your life a beautiful framing that gives shape to what you truly want.
Spirituality
When it comes to spirituality, expect things to get easier because of the Seven of Swords, Reversed card. I’m interpreting this to mean you’re going to get your energy back. The psychic connections you have to other people, locations, or events may have taken a toll on you. But this card suggests that you’re going to take control of your energy again.
Expect your vibrations to rise and feel more confident in your spiritual health too. But most of what I see in this card is an alignment of the mind-body-spirit connection. Your overall health will just be better and you’ll see that in every dimension of your being. You’re going to be in a really good place.
Relationships
Things are going to happen with your relationships because of The Magician card. The normal motto here is “As above, so below” and having all the tools you need. So I primarily see this as a sign that your current relationships are going to improve rather than you’re going to make new relationships happen.
That makes sense as you’re more restricted this year than in the previous year. There will be a lot of tidying when it comes to your social life. Keep the connections that you value and give them the attention they need to flourish – because they will.
Career/Hobbies
There’s some disillusionment in your career or hobbies this year. The Knight of Cups, Reversed seems to imply dreams are shattered. I don’t see this as referring to something which happens in 2023, but learning how to cope with what you discovered about your dreams in 2022.
When people have goals a little bit of fantasy is involved. That’s okay, but for some people, it’s hard to accept that a rational approach is needed to make fantasy into reality. Otherwise, you only dream and never live.
Part of 2023 is you coming to terms with being more pragmatic in your career and hobbies. Passion is still possible, but it’s going to need a foundation. So a slower pace should help you to set that up.
Personal
Your final card is any other message the universe has for you. That card is the Ace of Coins, Reversed. The restriction you face may mean that you won’t make growth this year after you reach a point of healing. Things are going to stall and it’ll seem like you can’t start anything new.
Take a deep breath: this is a sign from the universe that you need to grow what you’ve already worked on or planned. Don’t make any drastic changes in your life this year. Build on what you have.

Hello I picked the flamingo card.
Wow!! It’s soo me. It’s was straight from what I was feeling about all of the circumstances I’m facing. It’s soo good to know things will move in a good and slower moment. Thank you. I was thinking of taking a class of writing down my dreams and my intuitive understanding of who I am. Thank you.
I’m glad this could help, Lyly! I wish you an amazing 2023 where you can achieve all it is that you want to accomplish. 🙂
