Pile 1: Otter

Take Educated Risks

Your first card is the Three of Swords, Reversed. You’re coming out of a hard time or you’re starting to face obstacles with a sense of clarity. However, as you start to navigate your personal maze you’ll become aware that there are other paths you could take – and not all of them will lead to the best ending.

Because this is the heartbreak card, and it’s reversed, you’re trying to avoid another heartbreak. This can refer to a romantic entanglement, but don’t discount any other relationship or a personal passion. For you, navigating your personal maze is about not getting so lost that you want to give up from the dangers within.

Your maze isn’t a labyrinth, however. A maze has many possible paths while a labyrinth only has one. It’s okay to explore possibilities because you can still turn around if you find out it’s a dead-end. You’re not stuck on one path without any control over your progress.

Here’s a good example: after a heartbreak, it’s not a good idea to swear off love forever. Instead, being discerning in your future partner is the appropriate response to dating someone new.

Gather Others

Your next card is the Six of Coins. This is a good sign because it suggests you’re going to have a lot to give rather than being at the mercy of a debtor. At least in the near future, you’ll be at an advantage with the challenges you face and may even be able to help others.

When you help other people or are generous, it tends to make people feel indebted to you. While you shouldn’t be a miser and demand repayment beyond what someone can afford, extending your hand will pay dividends in the future.

But don’t think so much in monetary interest: there’s a common psychological strategy when meeting new people that shows what I mean. Asking for small favors, such as a pen or borrowing a phone to make a call, establishes a relationship between strangers that didn’t exist before. Try it the next chance you get!

Giving yourself to others can strengthen bonds. As you go through the maze of your life you may find it helpful to have others on your side. Remember: giving doesn’t have to be monetary.

Live and Roam

The final card in your spread is the affirmation: I am flexible and flowing. I see this working very well in your spread. Instead of seeing yourself as a person walking through a maze, see yourself as a wave gently filling each corridor and fulfilling your life to its fullest.

There are so many ways you can live your life and it’s okay if you don’t follow a specific path from start to finish. Allow yourself to take some diversions, take some calculated risks, and give yourself to others where appropriate.

This is because your maze requires strategic thinking to get through. Intuition is great, and you should use it, but make sure that your intuitive and softer approaches are founded in cold rationality. What’s rational should be your base. Everything else is the decoration that gives your life soul.

However, one thing to be aware of with your spread is that it may be difficult for you to manifest something right away. Sometimes, the reason you need to take the rational approach is that there are limitations in how you can act. I think of rationality as being present where creativity doesn’t have the space to be its free self.

So make sure to ask yourself what you should be doing in your life right now. Likely, there’s something you need to tend to before you can start acting willfully.

Match Your Personality

The next card in your spread is The Empress, Reversed. Here is the card expressing difficulty in manifesting. I think something is blocking your abundance right now. It could be a person, but it could be life itself.

Either way, you’re frustrated because you know exactly what you want or you have a good enough idea of what to do right now, yet nothing seems to be working. That’s because you’re trying to act willfully according to your personality and dreams. But that personal self doesn’t match what reality expects from the situation.

You need to compromise here. Creativity is good, but all creativity exists on the border of chaos, not within chaos itself. Think of an artist: if you’re too creative, you’re too chaotic and your work will not be popular in your lifetime. Instead, find the happy middle where you match current expectations and go a bit beyond that to expand cultural horizons.

No joke, but I thought this read “Kanye of Swords” at first. This is a hilarious interpretation because the card is Knave of Swords, Reversed, indicating someone who is all talk, no action.

To some degree, I sense that you’re unprepared for the challenges ahead of you. There’s potential peril in your life. You can avoid some of it, but not all of it. People also misunderstand you because you act in ways that are mysterious and at times infuriating.

But despite these negative connotations, you have a real chance for success and abundance. Your greatest villain is yourself.

This may come as a surprise to you, because, like Kanye, it can seem like the world is out to get you. Maybe it is. However, and this is important, you have traits and skills that few others do. Simply put, nobody can put you down for long.

Something about you is unbeatable. You just have to believe in yourself. Perhaps because nobody else will. You’re that indecipherable.

Life Will Be Hard, But That’s Irrelevant

Your second card is The World, Reversed. Here’s where you should expect a lot of obstacles out in the world. Navigating the maze of your life is never going to be easy. You will always face challenges that seem unfair and numerous.

However, like Kanye, you can’t look at living the way other people do. There are a lot of problematic things about this celebrity, but no one can deny that he approaches his career differently than others. He doesn’t fit the mold for a hip-hop artist. Even his fashion line is revolutionary.

But despite these differences, he’s influential. I see Kanye as an example of the personal maze of your life so you can understand how someone can exist at the pinnacle of success and yet be so far outside expectations. He shouldn’t be able to succeed, but he does.

It’s okay to want something different in life. It’s okay to be misunderstood. Not everyone can make something from such a life, but I believe you can.

Life Is Yours to Command

Your final card is an affirmation: I know I can be as successful as I make up my mind to be. I move into the Winning Circle. Golden opportunities are everywhere for me. Prosperity of every kind is drawn to me.

Yes, you’re going to face obstacles, but I want you to see these obstacles in one of two ways: the first is that the universe is helping to forge your through fire. These obstacles give you tenacity and strength through surviving them. Some people are only hurt by obstacles. You grow from them.
