December 2022: Tarot Pick a Card
It’s the end of the year and I want you to be in full control of your destiny. This tarot pick a card will help you find out what’s heading your way this month so you can react and manifest what you’d prefer instead.
All you have to do is select one of the piles of cards above that sticks out to you the most. Which animal inspires your intuition? That’s the pile and your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Tarot of the Divine and the Wisdom of the Oracle decks while the animals are from an Acekar sticker pack (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to peer into your future for December of 2022.
Pile 1: Lion
Themes
You have a very promising December ahead of you. The first card, All that Glitters, indicates that some good luck or abundance is likely to find its way to you. Be aware that this fortune may be temporary or not ultimately meaningful. That doesn’t mean it’s unwelcome! But this fortune is unlikely to sustain happiness, so enjoy it in the moment
Your next theme card is Imagine. I hope the good luck that comes your way is amazing, but you should think beyond that good fortune. It’s possible that this good luck could lead you to focus on that and not your dreams instead. Don’t forget what really drives your heart and soul!
The last theme card is Why? You must separate material abundance from transcendent abundance. We all encounter happy gifts or events which have no greater meaning than to make us temporarily happy. This can also lead someone to become materialistic and forget their higher purpose.
The message of this month is simple: no matter how abundance is entering your life right now, make sure that the abundance you’re working for is in alignment with your true values.
Week 1: December 1st to December 4th
Your first week is symbolized by The Hanged Man. I see two possible meanings here. The first is that some of you will make a sacrifice to improve your life and it works! The second is that you’re in a contemplative state and critically analyzing your life. Both meanings suggest being aware of potential revelations that could shake your world.
Week 2: December 5th to December 11th
The next week is Five of Coins. For some in this pile, this indicates that the fortune you encountered this month was temporary and you may have overspent (holiday binge shoppers beware!). Others may realize that the continued material abundance they have feels empty instead of reaffirming. That doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful, just be aware it doesn’t get you toward your higher purpose.
Week 3: December 12th to December 18th
This week you have The Empress. This is a beautiful card to come after the last and indicates nurturing abundance within you – and a meaningful one at that. It may also mean that what you’re nurturing will take some time to manifest. However, you’re likely to feel very optimistic about your future and more assured about who you are and what you’re doing in life.
Week 4: December 19th to December 25th
Toward the end of the month, you have the Knight of Cups card. This is a happy, romantic energy. That means a potential message or event for love, but can also mean an idyllic and pleasant time. For those who celebrate holidays this week, that’s a pleasant time to look forward to! For everyone, take notice of what you value this week as this indicates your priorities.
Week 5: December 26th to December 31st
Your month ends with the Eight of Swords. This is a card of restriction, but I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing in your spread. You’re going to become very aware of your limitations, but I want you to realize that limitations can also be a framework from which you can operate. See how those limitations focus your life. And if you want to make changes, you’ll be able to see where to reach beyond as you have a clear obstacle to overcome instead of a nameless one.

Pile 2: Cow
Themes
What a beautiful month for you! The first card, Time to Go, can be a bad or good thing depending on your current life circumstances. This is a message from the universe that you need to make some sort of transition for your own good, so either a bittersweet transition or a welcome one. But as this is the end of the year, you may be thinking about this anyway.
The second theme card is Blessed. The universe is going to do what it can this month to manifest as many good things for you as possible. This is likely because you’re in greater alignment with the universe or that the energies around you aren’t going to be in as much conflict as they were previously.
Your final theme card is Milk and Honey. This is a paradisal phrase and suggests that you’re going to cross over into abundance – specifically of the blessed kind. Making the transition the universe indicates will be very beneficial for you and you’re likely to find that there will be less friction once you get into a new routine.
Week 1: December 1st to December 4th
Your first card is the Six of Cups, Reversed. I laughed out loud when I saw this card in your spread: it means turning away from the past! This week you’ll make a definitive decision to change things up. Some people wait until January first to start their New Year’s resolutions. Start yours this week!
Week 2: December 5th to December 11th
Next is the King of Coins card. You’re going to show some sort of mastery or acquire abundance. I think you’ll feel the abundance the universe has for you regarding the transition even if it’s just the beginning of your journey. This could mean material success or health. So for those of you making healthy changes, you may see that manifest a little here.
Week 3: December 12th to December 18th
The third week card is Nine of Cups. One or more of your wishes is going to be fulfilled or you’re going to feel as if you have a lot of abundance in your life. You’ll still be aware you don’t have everything, but it’s all going to seem very sweet. From your spread, it just really seems like committing to some change at the start of the month will have immediate positive effects throughout the month. That doesn’t mean the transition is without effort, but your effort will be rewarded.
Week 4: December 19th to December 25th
Toward the end of the month you have The High Priestess card. This is a more private and internalized awareness of your transition. It’s also going to be a personal transformation that will likely alter your perspective toward life. You’ll learn a lot from your experience these last few weeks about how best to live your truth and higher purpose because of the transition.
Week 5: December 26th to December 31st
The fifth week card is Seven of Cups, Reversed. You won’t have as many choices, but things will seem a lot less frightening too. Use the end of the month to do some journaling and meditation. Some doors will close on you this year, but what remains is going to be exactly what you needed.

Pile 3: Unicorn
Themes
Your spread is interesting because it can read positively or negatively for different people who chose this pile. But what it really focuses on is people.
The first card is Soul Mates. For some of you, you will meet someone, enter the next phase of commitment, or just really enjoy time with a significant other. That makes this an ideal month for dating or spending quality time together. In addition, if you have children or pets, you may find it especially rewarding to do things as a family too.
The second theme card is Community. This refers more to your local environment or the people around you who aren’t family or “best” friends. Consider attending a local community event (which is common around the holidays) or even volunteering. If you already do something like this, expect to find what you already do more rewarding.
Your final theme card is Clean It Up. Because of the rest of your spread, I think there’s a lot of noise and confusion. You may have toxic or even empty relationships with people in your life. It may be a good time to start letting such people go. Alternatively, there’s also great energy here to repair relationships you value with quality time too.
Week 1: December 1st to December 4th
Your month begins with The Hermit, Reversed. You should come out of your shell this week. This is pretty straightforward for those extroverts who just need to make it a priority, but for those who are introverted or struggling right now, consider going with family to some kind of day outing, like seeing Christmas lights in your local community. It doesn’t have to be a big social party for it to be meaningful and make memories.
Week 2: December 5th to December 11th
Your second week is symbolized by the Three of Wands. You need to expand your horizons here and perhaps be a bit daring. This is a great week to volunteer or try something new. Some libraries and other community centers have weekend workshops and classes you might want to try. Get out of your comfort zone: you’ll be happy you did!
Week 3: December 12th to December 18th
Around the middle of the month, you have Four of Coins, Reversed energy. This is likely to be a difficult week for you so it may be a good idea to just stay home and relax. The reason why is that you may have minor money problems or feel overextended from the previous weeks. Sometimes you can be really happy you tried something new… but need recovery time. Give yourself some alone time if you need it.
Week 4: December 19th to December 25th
Your fourth week card is Three of Swords, Reversed. This is an amazing week to tend to your relationships. If you want to repair a relationship, there’s no better week this month than this one. This is also a good week to smooth over any tense feelings in romantic relationships. Overall, a very healing time when it comes to social matters.
Week 5: December 26th to December 31st
The month ends on the Justice card. I sense this to mark a karmic moment in your life. Make sure you treat the people around you with compassion and repair the relationships which are meaningful. For those that are meant to fall away, expect the sword to be drawn. For some of you, it may mean a decision to never see someone again after the New Year.
