An Important Day Coming Soon: Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today I have a reading about a specific day coming to you soon.
This should be about an event you have a clear expectation will happen, such as a test, romantic date, trip, the start of a project, et cetera. Make sure this reading isn’t for a day more than a few months in advance.
In particular, this reading is designed to prepare you for any potential challenges or obstacles to this event. The goal of the universe in this reading is to help you avoid the negatives so you can have the best day possible.
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which animal inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Energy Oracle deck (this is an affiliate link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s prepare for your important day.
Pile 1: Sasquatch
Fully Prepared
You’re probably going to have a good day already, but the universe wants you to know that the possibility of a bad day is present. The good news is that you have everything you need (personality-wise) to avoid the bad.
Your first card is Deceit, Reversed. No matter what day you have in mind, whether it’s a good event like a trip or a bad event like a test, you’re not going to be confused or suffer lies. Everything is going to be clearly laid out and you’ll know what to do. No mysteries here.
The way this would manifest in something like a romantic date is that the person you encounter really is the person they appear to be. And if you’re taking a test, you’re not likely to encounter new information – meaning you’ll have adequately studied beforehand.
So fully prepared and aware of what’s going to happen. Your reading is primarily descriptive, rather than prescriptive. You’re already trending in the positive direction of this reading.
Able to Wait
Your second card is Patience. Even if you’re not a normally patient person, you will have the patience of a saint on this day. This is important because something about this day is likely to be stressful or at least annoying.
For example, someone going on a date may find that the person they’re meeting is late or something goes wrong at the venue. However, the date itself goes well and you enjoy your time anyway because you trusted yourself to see the event through.
Someone taking a test will have the patience to proceed with each question at a moderate speed. They have no anxiety and can complete the test with ease.
No matter the event, even if it’s not one of the examples above, know that you will feel more at ease than you would initially expect because of the circumstances. Lean into this, because it’s going to help you to tackle the challenging aspects of the event and enjoy the good.
As an aside, those of you waiting for news will be able to hold out for it. So if you’re expecting to receive a letter or e-mail confirming something, it’s not going to drive you crazy!
This Is Your Day
The final card is Storm Warning. I thought of Florida here because they have a lot of hurricanes, yet the level of fear towards these horrific storms isn’t as great as in other areas of the United States. Why?
Because they’re prepared and know what to do even under the worst of circumstances. A storm warning doesn’t mean a storm will hit you, but it does alert you to possible challenges so you can adequately protect yourself if the worst does happen.
Part of the reason you’re so patient is that you know what to do and have peace of mind. Whether the event ends on a good or bad note, much of how you react and move on afterward is entirely in your control.
That means the event is going to form a memory in your mind, but you’re going to be able to look back on that memory with fondness or appreciation for what it taught you. Don’t fear the storm. The storm fears you.

They Won’t Like It
It seems like this day may be an overwhelming one or one that zaps your energy. This doesn’t mean that the day is all bad, as I’ll get into later, but know that you’re likely not to make the most of the event because of the factors surrounding it unless you address the concerns.
The first card in your spread is Happy Family, Reversed. You’re probably going to have a bad interaction with your family regarding this day.
Here are some examples of how it could manifest. If you’re planning on going on a family trip, one of your family members may not be in the best of moods. I was sometimes this person on family trips as a kid. I just could not enjoy Disneyland because of the hot sun, lines, and cost.
So if you’re planning on doing something with family, make sure everybody likes the plan, and if not, consider ways to make it more joyful for everyone involved. But it’s entirely possible that it won’t be a 10/10 experience for every member of the family – and that’s okay. You can do something they like later as a compromise.
However, you may have an event that has no connection to your family at all. Perhaps you’re taking a test and your family isn’t very supportive of you. This can bring your mood down.
Be prepared for a lack of family (or roommate) bliss regarding this day. You may be able to prevent it entirely, but if not, try not to frame your entire mood around that experience to those people. Look within for emotional strength.
Give Yourself a Break
The next card is the Third Chakra, Archangel Chamuel. This signifies a lack of energy. Now this could come from being disappointed in your less-than-enthusiastic family, but it could also be the event itself.
Not everything we enjoy is restorative. For example, someone in this pile may be planning on a 5K run. Afterward, they’re likely to be exhausted. They really shouldn’t plan on a lot of activities the rest of the day or the day after.
You’re going to need to rest following your day. If you can’t clear your entire day, try just a few hours.
Either way, make it your goal now to find some sort of way to decompress after the event itself. You may also want to make sure you don’t do anything tiring beforehand so you can approach this event with the most energy possible. For those taking a test, do not cram the night before.
Because this is also about the throat chakra, you may not want to spend too much time socializing either.
I think this, more than anything else, is the most in your control and going to be the biggest promoter of happiness and fulfillment towards this day. Take time to address what you plan to do before and after your day and make sure there’s a lot of self-care involved.
Too Connected
The last card in your spread is Attachment. This can be good or bad. Being attached to a good memory is uplifting, but being attached to a bad one can lower your spirits. Be mindful that however this day goes, it’s going to have an impact on your life for some time.
If your upcoming day is likely to be a bad event, prepare yourself for some soothing activities afterward. For example, someone taking a test may obsess over their results for weeks until they receive their score – and then define their worth as a human being on that number.
Also, some of you may have attachments going into the event which may or may not be healthy. This is especially true if you have an attachment to a particular person. If you’re mindful of this attachment, it’ll be easier for you to address it.
But, overall, I don’t necessarily see that this day is destined to be a negative one. You’re going to have frustrations, but I think these frustrations can be tackled if you have a lot of self-care to help alleviate the tension you may experience.

Pile 3: Hamster
The Ordinary Is Extraordinary
This day is going to be a portal for you! The first card in your spread is Magician and the Mirror. There’s a supernatural or fated element to this day no matter how mundane you anticipate it to be.
Most people don’t realize that ordinary events can be important chains in our life stories. The person you meet randomly at a park may be the one you marry. The book you pick up at the library may inspire you to pursue a new career.
You’re going to be triggered on this day and find yourself reflecting on how you’re living your life. Some of you will make drastic changes, while others will change nothing but alter their perspective in a meaningful way that will make them happier.
The best way you can tap into this energy is to have a regular spiritual practice. It doesn’t have to be intense. I usually meditate for five minutes each day and it grounds me in a holistic sense to promote wellbeing.
Find a mini-spiritual practice that you can do every day because it will be easier for you to reflect or recognize the magic of ordinary events and the chain-link effect it has on your life.
Initially Disappointed
That said, you’re not going to appreciate the effect this day will have on you at first. The second card, Appreciation, Reversed, suggests some disappointment. We don’t always know why certain events transpire in the way they do or why we must learn some lessons.
I suffered a concussion a few years ago that gave me a rare sleep disorder that ended my career just as it began. I was so frustrated and physically unwell as it developed, but it ironically set my life on a much better path. Even if I could go back and stop it from happening… I don’t know if my life would be better if it did.
The universe didn’t cause my concussion, but it helped reorient me once it happened. I see that true in your life too.
Understand that this day is going to have some elements you don’t understand right now. And what happens may manifest in a way you don’t appreciate for some time. But hold strong and persist, because the universe is helping you find the right path for you. It just might be a longer trail than expected.
Money Isn’t the Only Thing
The third card in your spread is Financial Restraints. You won’t have all the resources you want to manifest this day in the way you envision. A budget may be necessary or you may need to accept a more minimalist approach.
Let’s use an example: a family wants to go on a trip, but they can’t afford to go to an expensive theme park. Instead of despairing over their limited budget, they can find an alternative experience closer to home, like camping. Don’t let money restrain your ability to make meaningful memories.
Another example: someone goes on a date. This person has everything they want… but they never went to college and make a working-class wage. It would be so easy to turn this person down because of financial reasons, but greater regret is likely to follow.
Money helps provide a foundation to pursue happiness, but happiness is not exclusive to wealth. Generally, relationships, purpose, and hobbies are the greatest contributors. Make any day, even special ones that you anticipate standing out to you, reflect that instead of cost.
