Your 2026 Year — Tarot Pick a Card
We are entering the tarot numerological year of The Wheel of Fortune. Expect a lot of changes and fated events this year in the world. However, I’m sure you’d like to know what is specifically going to happen in your individual life. So let’s find out with this pick a card reading.
To receive your message from the universe, pick one of the piles above using your intuition.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
For this reading, I’ve used the Enchanted Map Oracle and the Witches Tarot deck. The stickers used as the intuitive guides for each pile are from Baslaky. These are affiliate links, and it helps support me if you love these decks and want to buy them for yourself too.
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s explore your 2026 year.
Pile 1: Red Panda

Other People Matter to You
Expect a particularly social year, or if you’re an introvert, a year in which the influence of others is quite strong. However, this can be a very good thing if you apply it in the right way.
The first oracle card, Cleaning House, is a sign that you’re going to reorganize your life to better fit your intentions. The second card, Sacred Pool, is about an intuitive flow, meaning you’ll be surrounded by new inspiration in relationships and perhaps the divine. Your final oracle card, Follow the Leader, is about you identifying a role model and aligning your life with that direction.
As you can see, you’re going to be heavily influenced by others and perhaps a sacred muse, but not in a way in which you’re controlled.
Instead, see this year as a year of good influences to better shape the life you want to live. Be selective and intentional about who you surround yourself with or follow on social media.
January, February, March
With The World card here, expect your focus to be on external things. I’ve seen a lot of indication in all my readings and general readings from others that the next year will have a potent energy of change. I think you’re going to witness that in an acute way in the first quarter.
Because this card is upright, I think that influence will generally be positive. That’s not to say you won’t have challenges, but you’ll approach these challenges with courage and optimism.
Something about your place in the world going into the year is favorable and you’re going to have reason to believe in success and happiness. But you’re going to use that optimism to pivot in a new direction or let go of what doesn’t work anymore.
April, May, June
This time of the year will bring more anxiety with the Nine of Swords card. This is about overthinking and anxiety. It can also be illness (I pulled this card almost daily for a year before my sleep disorder diagnosis).
My recommendation is to be action-oriented and spend less time in your own head. There’s been a lot of research and anecdotal evidence from doctors lately that people who ruminate or spend a lot of time thinking about themselves are unhappy and unable to be helped during therapy.
To me this suggests not having a goal and working towards it could be your downfall here. If you suspect these months are going to be overwhelming, don’t think your way out of it: set a small goal and work towards it instead.
Example: someone is worried they’re sick. Instead of googling their symptoms and losing their minds from stress, they write down their symptoms and schedule a doctor’s appointment.
That’s being action-oriented. Pair your worries with action instead of rumination. If you can’t solve the problem yourself, get help. Self-help without subsequent action does not apply here.
July, August, September
The third quarter should be a more cheery and upbeat experience with the Three of Cups card. You’ll have either found good people to influence you or are exploring your options.
Try to spend more time with the people you love. If you don’t have these people, try to find new people. New people can usually be found in shared interest spaces or online dating. Example: someone loves learning random facts. They decide to look up trivia nights at local bars and go to them. Likeminded random fact lovers will be found there and friendships can be formed.
You’ll likely experience your greatest inspiration during this time of year, so make sure you set aside productivity time. It’ll be tempting to spend all your time socializing, but pursue your personal projects and hobbies too, even if you’re retired or have a lot of leisure time.
October, November, December
The end of the year is marked by Three of Swords, which is a card of a breakup or clarity. Because of the Cleaning House card earlier in your spread, this could be you tidying up your social life. It may not be about tragedy.
For example, you meet a lot of amazing people in the third quarter, but soon realize that you need to narrow your social network or spend more time with others. That’s because you recognize which people are the better relationships to spend quality time with.
However, if you do have a relationship problem or breakup, see this as the universe letting you know which people need to improve their approach or those you need to let go of. It’s not all on you to make a relationship work. Relationships are mutual and you should be able to expect others to participate in true affection. They need to give instead of just receive.

It’s a Year of Making Things Better
This year has a spiritual undertone for you that may express itself either in wellness or relationships.
The first oracle card, Wizard of Awareness, is you looking at reality through a spiritual lens. This could indicate a strong spiritual practice or the adoption of a philosophy that guides you. The second card, Movement, suggests that perspective will be met with action or travel. Your final oracle card, Heal the ‘Ouch’, is you making important changes in your life for mental or physical health.
There are a lot of ways you can approach this, but I think focusing on adopting or refining your spiritual path or philosophy is best. It appears as if doing that will help you to prioritize and fix what you don’t like about your life currently.
So you need some sort of life framework to approach this year. Don’t overcomplicate it. It should be summarized into a single identity statement that helps to remind you what’s important as you go about your life.
January, February, March
With the King of Wands, Reversed, I think you’ll either encounter a real person or spiritual/philosophical framework that no longer works for you. It’s oppressive or a poor match.
Because of this, you could struggle during these months if you don’t work towards a better framework instead. I think you could get a jumpstart on this by reflecting on your current life and asking how your beliefs or the people you follow no longer help you.
Spirituality or philosophy needs to be personally experienced instead of just intellectually understood. Some people will read about their spiritual beliefs but then not act on them. I think of Christians who go to church and read the Bible, but don’t pray, or the pagans who research gods, but don’t do rituals.
For those who aren’t especially spiritual, this would be like the nihilist who doesn’t make meaning for themselves and instead falls to a nihilist depressive state.
Take action and it’ll move mountains in your life. If you can’t take action, then that’s a sign you’re following the wrong path.
April, May, June
The Seven of Swords is you taking specific action, and perhaps in an underhanded way. I think this could indicate that your spiritual or philosophical beliefs aren’t a match for the people closest to you. Because of that, you need to do things privately or even secretly.
Most people reading this live in a country with at least some religious freedom and freedom of speech. That means if the people closest to you don’t share your beliefs, you can usually find people online or in person who you can associate with.
Spirituality and philosophy are experienced best when it’s experienced with other people at least some of the time.
Being around these people will also encourage you to go from intellectual agreement to actual action. You’ll be inspired by their own practices and live them out in your own way too. You’ll feel better about your choices and more fully commit.
July, August, September
A powerful relationship will come into your life this quarter. It’s either romantic or something close to a best friend. They’re essentially a soulmate and important to your growth.
The Lovers card is a comfortable and divinely guarded energy, so expect this relationship to grow and be intimate in a safe way. If you’re already in a close relationship, expect that relationship to grow even deeper.
I also think this card indicates an ease with your spirituality or personal philosophy, so it seems like your adoption will finalize by this time of the year and you’ll feel more existentially settled in life.
This person indicated in the card may share your beliefs or at least deeply respect them.
October, November, December
The movement indicated in the oracle cards will manifest by the final quarter of the year with the Three of Wands card.
You’re either moving, traveling, or preparing to do so and that preparation is quite involved.
There’s an optimism in this card and a curiosity, so you may be expanding or contextualizing your beliefs with depth.
Just be aware that you run the risk of being so curious that you leave your relationship from the last quarter behind. Make sure you’re including them in your decision making or making allowances to continue that intimacy over a long distance if needed.

Pile 3: Blue Dolphin

Never Give Up
You’re going to build something this year and fight like hell to protect it. That means it really matters to you.
The first oracle card, Gentle Gardener, suggests you’ll be planting seeds and gradually letting something manifest. The Storm Fields card could indicate you’ll deal with a proverbial storm upturning that garden and having to replant. Don’t give up if something destroys what you build. Simply start again. The final oracle card is Home, which is about knowing what truly matters and protecting it.
The image I get here is that of the American Midwest. Tornados can destroy almost anything in their path, including brick and stone buildings, so it’s important to either have a steel shelter or an underground shelter to protect your family. Similarly, tornadoes can destroy a field, so farmers need to plant more than one field to maintain a living.
Like Americans in the Midwest, you can make a landscape that is arguably inhospitable without intervention into a home by learning how to protect what you’re growing and building. That is the theme this year.
January, February, March
Your first quarter is marked by transition with the Six of Swords card. This is letting go of what doesn’t work.
You may have found previously that it was difficult to manifest things long-term. That’s because you’re using methods that aren’t ideal for your goals. They might work for other people, but you in your situation will find it doesn’t apply.
Because of that, you need to re-evaluate your methods. Research new possibilities during this period or even invent your own.
Take these months as an opportunity to trial things. Accept that what you’re doing, even if it kind of works, isn’t working well enough for you to grow to the lengths you desire.
April, May, June
Sometimes you need to spend money. The Six of Pentacles, Reversed indicates you’re going to be letting go financially or appropriating some of your budget to something new. I’m not against this entirely because of your overall spread, but I think you may spend more than you should.
In your desire to experiment, you may spend more than you should and face economic problems in the third quarter.
What I want you to focus on in the second quarter is setting a budget and sticking to it. Don’t be swayed by any shiny bauble or get rich quick scheme. If you do want to try new things, set aside a small budget to experiment and don’t go beyond that.
Not every purchase or investment is going to work out in the end, so give enough breathing room here.
July, August, September
If you weren’t careful in the last quarter, you may find yourself on the bad end of the Five of Pentacles card. This is about deprivation and loss, especially of the financial sort.
Now I think you can avoid this entirely, but if not, what’s likely to happen is that you overspent and another unexpected expense comes up that you can’t cover. Or you didn’t do enough risk management or emergency preparedness to withstand whatever problem is likely to occur.
One thing that could be helpful to do at the beginning of the year is to brainstorm situations that could cause you problems. This can run the gamut of a fire in the kitchen to something major like getting fired from work.
For every possible problem you’re likely to encounter, consider how you could prevent or respond to that problem. In the kitchen, have a fire extinguisher. For work, have an emergency fund or a plan of action to find a new job.
The thing that goes wrong is likely to be small and fixable since this is a minor arcana card. Still, don’t let it derail this quarter if you can do some preparation beforehand.
October, November, December
The end of the year will be better for you, but you’re likely going to be very cautious and risk-adverse due to the Four of Pentacles card. See how the man is keeping his coin close to his chest? He’s afraid of losing what he has, but he still has something.
That means you won’t end the year with your life ruined. Instead, whatever you tried to grow will have some sort of harvest you can enjoy, and you’ll do everything you can to maintain that abundance in the last quarter.
It’ll be psychologically healthy for you to reflect on the last year and ask yourself what you did right instead of just what you did wrong. The opening line of Anna Karenina is apt here: “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
While you would have discovered early on in the year the areas of life that require an individual and unique approach to work for you, most good advice and strategies will work for you too. Because of that, reflecting on the year and identifying what’s obvious in retrospect would be most helpful.
You’ll find that times you tried to do everything your own way and only acted on what you wanted instead of what was objectively true likely led you astray. A conservative, traditional approach should be the foundation of any strategy you have. The unique flair is an addendum, not the core framework.
