Unlock Your Creativity — Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! I have a psychic tarot reading today on how you can unlock your creativity. This can be applied toward traditional creative activities like art or writing, but also see it as a way to implement inspired thinking towards anything you want in life, like your career, relationships, and more.
To receive your message from the universe, pick one of the piles above using your intuition.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
For this reading, I’ve chosen the Enchanted Map Oracle deck. Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s see how you can unlock your creativity.
Pile 1: Mirror

What’s Blocking You Creatively?
You’re experiencing creative block. Even if you think that you’re coming up with amazing work, this spread is a sign that your potential is so much greater than you ever imagined.
Stuck in the Mud means that you have to deal with a lot of difficult or unexciting material. That said, the Wizard of Awareness means there’s something in this mud that’s amazing and a true gem.
A famous example is Jane Austen, who, contrary to popular belief, was not a romantic writer but a realist. She focused on the everyday life of women and created some of the most beloved pieces of writing in history. At that time, people tended to write about men and when they did write stories about women, they tended to be exaggerated gothic romances.
So the mud is where the gold is because there’s something about it that can be heightened or exaggerated to serve you creatively even if you think it’s not so great. You just need to realize it’s about Making a Choice.
Anything Is Possible, But Not Everything At Once
You can create anything, but you can’t create everything. There’s a limit to what you can do in life. If you have a lot of ideas, now might be the time to select the most important ones to you. Focus on those. Stop waiting to be an expert before manifesting your creative vision.
Creativity comes from honing and refining as much as it comes from the initial impulse of creativity. It’s going to be messy, but that mess is where the brilliance is found.
Another thing you should consider is to give yourself rules. I like to play The Sims, but this is a game that’s a sandbox and virtual dollhouse. That means you can pretty much do anything. But you have the most fun if you give yourself challenges or restrictions to follow.
That’s something you may want to try creatively. How can you limit yourself? Run with that idea and see what it does for you. You might be surprised how that can inspire the next iteration of your creativity.
Final Word of Wisdom
One thing I’m noticing about your spread is that it’s very in this moment rather than discussing advice and challenges you’ll have throughout your life. This could be a sign that any difficulties you’re currently feeling are temporary.
But it could also be an indication that this is just one stage in the creative journey and you need to stop anticipating the future. When it comes to creativity, it’s best applied in the moment.
You can certainly brainstorm and dream of future applications of your creativity, but the act of creativity is in the action. Either reduce the amount of brainstorming you do or have some way to structure or capture those ideas so you feel satisfied with those wanderings and can get back on task.

The Time Is Now
There’s this concept called the collective unconscious. Whether it’s a spiritual reality or the inherited knowledge of a culture, it appears you have access to it due to the Ghostlands cards.
I believe that the collective unconscious is why inventions or theories seem to occur simultaneously by people who don’t know each other or why books and movies come out with the same plot. When humanity is ready for something, it’ll be pulled from the unconscious. You’re going to be part of that.
What you need to recognize is the need for Magic Prayer. You have the right to access something amazing that will have creative merit, but you must accept that inspiration. Otherwise, like AI, you will only be able to make derivations based on what has come before. This idea is new.
You need to be Wide Open to the possibility of your creativity and accept what seems so new that humanity isn’t ready for it. But they are – and you’re going to deliver it.
Try This
We’re going to do an exercise, and it’s important you do not read past this section until you complete it. Take as much time as you need (without looking up words) to fill in the blanks for the following words on the list below.
This isn’t an IQ test, so don’t worry about filling out each word. There are no right answers – just your answers. But spend enough time to at least complete most of the list.
- i n _ _ r e
- p r _ _ e
- s p e a _
- e x p l _ _ e
- k i _ _
- h _ r _
- a _ t _ r
- d e s _ _ _ _
- l _ _ e
- b _ r n
- b l _ n d
- p _ c k

- w _ _ d _ w
- h _ t r _ d
- e n _ a g e

What You Just Did And Why
This is called a projection test and it uses word associations. When researchers do this in a lab setting and then give this list to another person, that person is able to accurately determine the personality of the test taker who filled it out even though the test taker doesn’t think the word list describes them.
The theory is that people project their unconscious onto the list. Personally, I see this as a spiritually valid tool to see what door you have into the collective unconscious. What is your spark creatively?
For example, someone might have filled out words like, spear, burn, hunt. Looking at such words, the person might realize it reflects an interest in adventure stories or that they love being in nature. So that’s what parts of the collective unconscious they’re drawn to.
Take some time to meditate on your list and then journal on this prompt: “I think my word list shows that I have an interest in these stories or creative themes…”

Pile 3: Feather

Break and Repair
You need to kill your darlings. Or rather, they’ll be killed for you. The Coming Apart card means that your current ideas need some work. It’ll help to go back to the drawing board and try to reimagine them in a different setting or context.
If you want to keep your idea mostly the same, try analyzing or picking apart the idea. Some ideas would do best if you run them through scenarios. For example, if you apply your creativity to social situations, you should create social scenarios in your head relevant to that idea.
If you use your creativity in a more mechanical way, like in science or math, then you need to abandon preconceived notions on how you try things. When we went to the moon, new math had to be invented to propel the rockets into space.
The reason is that creativity comes from novelty. Even someone writing a traditional genre book in science fiction would need to twist the story in at least a small way to make it interesting or unique. What Suzanne Collins did with The Hunger Games was combine dystopia with beauty pageants.
Your goal is to find the Talisman, the jewel that shines amongst the non-novelty of your idea. It should excite you and glitter in a way other things don’t. You aren’t trying to make one hundred percent of your creative application novel, just a small part.
Let Go
When it comes to creativity, you need Peaks of Joy. These peaks of joy come from a challenge that’s slightly beyond your ability, but not too far beyond your ability. That’s why breaking apart your idea is so important – it forces you to look at your creative application from a new angle to find that talisman that excites you.
You are your first audience, and your idea needs to impress you first. That doesn’t mean it’ll always impress a future audience or user, but if it can’t impress you – kill that darling. You can try breaking it apart before abandoning it.
And I think that’s an important point. Killing your darlings isn’t just about abandoning your ideas, but starting with a fresh slate and then giving it a new angle if appropriate.
So don’t feel anxiety about stopping what doesn’t work. You’re going to make it work. And if it really doesn’t work after you picked it apart multiple times, then the reason why it didn’t work was because you didn’t find the talisman that you knew would make it work.
Use Introspection
If you’ve ever watched somebody create a piece of visual art, then you may have watched them overwork it. They know they’ve gone too far and are trying to correct their mistake. If you don’t understand your creative method enough, you tend to give up because you don’t know how to rework something.
Consider keeping a log or a note section for whatever creative project you have. Any major change or draft you do, take a note and explain to yourself why you’re making the decisions you’re making. If it’s a visual project, take pictures.
Then whenever you encounter problems, you’ll start noticing in your notes how and why they keep happening. This will prevent you from making changes you aren’t happy with in the future.
Always remember creativity isn’t linear. It’s a spiral maze. There’s going to be some twists and turns. Don’t get lost along the way.
