After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Work Your Light oracle and Everyday Tarot decks. Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to peer into your future for April 2022.
Pile 1: Purple Umbrella
Theme
You have a challenging month ahead, but I think it’s for your benefit. Your theme card is Awakening with the wisdom message of “Energetic upgrades. A new way of being. Integration.” That tells me despite the difficulties you’ll face, some part of you will transform positively by the end.
That’s something to keep in mind as you go through these personal tribulations. You’re going to experience a fundamental shift of perspective that will not only help you process what happens in April, but then reorganize and move forward in your life.
I think something that will help you is to journal or take time to meditate when you’re stressed out. This will increase your spiritual awareness and inspire meaning in your life.
Week 1: April 1st to April 10th
Your first card is Judgement, Reversed. I didn’t expect this sequence of cards after pulling your theme card, so I read this first week as making a decision in defiance of what the world expects of you.
It won’t be easy. You’re likely being pressured to act in a certain way or believe something that doesn’t resonate. However, your decision to break away marks the point in your life where you choose independence over dependence.
Your entire spread is thin on the details of what happens, likely because your spiritual awakening or awareness of the independence you decide this week is so important.
Know that you may not be fully cognizant that you’re breaking away this week. In general, I sense that your theme card isn’t something that happens in a moment, but gradually throughout the month. Just like the woman is slowly rising into the sky, this decision and the rest of the month are slowly building into a final personal revelation from introspection.
Week 2: April 11th to the 17th
The next card in your spread is the Eight of Swords. I noticed that you had two eight cards in your spread alongside two very powerful major arcana cards. The numerology for eight is power and ambition. It resembles the infinity symbol. And, just like the card here, it’s a harsh taskmaster.
You’re going to realize this week how you’ve willingly trapped yourself. Everyone does this to some degree. We willingly imprison ourselves into unfair expectations and blind ourselves to the truth. But in your spread, I see this card as being aware of your prison.
This awareness and the oppression you’re feeling may be particularly acute this week. However, you’ll also understand that it’s a choice to remain a prisoner of your circumstances.
Week 3: April 18th to the 24th
Your third card is The Devil. Here I read it as you coming to understand how you self-sabotage yourself in life. The lovers here are chained to the satanic figure, but just like the chains of the previous card, their bindings aren’t as strong as they feel.
But that doesn’t mean the self-sabotage you’ve committed against yourself isn’t something to ignore. The pain and frustration you’re feeling are real, and while you are mostly responsible for your circumstances, you aren’t wholly responsible for those circumstances either. Bad people and bad situations exist.
This week is likely going to be a dark night of the soul. You’ll truly understand what evil and nefarious energy are in your life and in others. But I think you’re going to come out of this week with the awareness that will uplift you rather than depress you.
No longer are you blind.
Week 4: April 25th to the 30th
The last card in your spread is the Eight of Cups. Do you see how the man is leaving all he has behind? Your awareness is about a life change. Now a life change can be radical, such as a big move or breaking contact with another person, but it can also be mental. For those who choose this pile, the form of your life change may be very different.
But the content will be the same. Here the energy is about coming to understand your past pains and struggles and being able to leave them behind. It’s freeing. No longer do you carry your sufferings with you. It’s a fresh start. What do you hope will come next?

Pile 2: Green Umbrella
Theme
With your theme card being Yes this month, it’s safe to say that you’re going to be looking for new experiences and thinking positively. There could be many reasons for this theme coming into your life, but the overall meaning behind it is that you need more optimism and hope.
This is a great month to try new things, even if it scares you, and to take chances that seem out of character. You don’t have to commit to anything in the long term just because you try it. The experience alone will be enlightening.
I also see the image on this card as collaborative, but this collaboration is more spiritual. Three can be seen as the “past, present, and future” and I see this month as being an important chapter in your life story. You’re going to encounter something which will meaningfully affect your life and soul.
Week 1: April 1st to April 10th
What an interesting card to start with! Here I interpret the Seven of Swords as indicating you are either experiencing a loss or needing to think strategically. The point behind this energy is that you’re becoming aware that the way you live your life can’t persist. Something needs to change or you need to change. Otherwise, you’ll continue experiencing loss.
However, you don’t yet know how to go about this. That’s why I think this week is you understanding that a new strategy is necessary.
But what strategy should you employ? Take some time to do some brainstorming about your life. Consider writing a bucket list, especially of things you have always wanted to try and could foreseeably do in the next month.
You need to try new things, but I think these new things shouldn’t just be random. Instead, it should be informed with what you’ve always wanted, but neglected to pursue.
Start dreaming and let those dreams form into a one-month plan.
Week 2: April 11th to the 17th
Your second card is the Ace of Cups. I see this as you flowing organically from event to event. Allow your intuition to guide you to try new things on your list as your heart moves you. Don’t be too concerned about any particular order and try things as they come naturally.
That means you may not do everything on your list and that’s okay. What this week is meant to teach you is what you’re motivated to do, even fleetingly, so you can better understand yourself.
Think of it a bit like a flow state: this is a period of hyper-productivity when a person is so focused on a task that they’re having the time of their lives and don’t want to stop.
This month is meant to be a flow state for you. You need to just engage your soul in what’s meaningful and keep engaging as much as possible without restrictions. Your cup needs to overflow.
Week 3: April 18th to the 24th
The next card in your spread is the High Priestess. This is a card of sacred, unspoken knowledge. But I’m most drawn to the two pillars here which stand for strength and establishment.
Your flow experimentation is helping you to create a new life for yourself founded on something less concrete than plans or the expectations of the world. You’re trying to connect with your soul’s purpose, and I think the third week will help you understand more of who you are as a person.
I do think you’ll either make changes or consider changes in the future that will be influenced by your month of play here. But you aren’t going to continue playing. Rather, your play is going to become more serious and things that resonate with you the most will start taking a new shape.
However, since you’re connecting with your soul needs, this organizing principle will be more personal and not as reflective of plans you made in the past. You’re learning to balance your needs with the expectations of the world.
Week 4: April 25th to the 30th
The final card here is The Empress, Reversed. I think you’ll tone down trying new things and spend a lot of time introverting. That’s because you’re likely going to think about a new project or opportunity. This idea could have only come from your experiences this month.
But you won’t be ready to pursue it yet. Instead, you’re going to be a bit more cautious and really think about what you’re going to do. That’s the interesting thing about this month and this week in particular: you were very yes yes yes all month, but now you’re going to start saying no as you work on your focus. No isn’t turning things down. It’s saying yes emphatically to what you want most.
Some of what you enjoyed was only a temporary and fun experience, while other things will continue. That means, to some degree, you’ll need to accept letting go of something you enjoyed in favor of pursuing what you feel is best. This is normal, but you will need this week to rest and think about it.
Also, you probably really tired yourself out trying new things and need to fall back into some old habits to recuperate.

Pile 3: Blue Umbrella
Theme
With your theme card being Trust the Niggle, I sense that the universe wants you to pay more attention to your intuition this month. It can be a bit scary as using psychic powers usually involves seeing beyond what’s obvious in your environment.
You may have a feeling of fear or anxiety because you’re seeing into the future or a possible future. You may see ghosts or other paranormal activity.
The energy behind this month isn’t about the supernatural world, but rather how you can practically use this psychic gift in the material world.
That means you’ll need to focus your gift on the here and now and learn to narrow that sight on what you care about most.
Week 1: April 1st to April 10th
Your first card is the Queen of Swords. She is a person of rationality. When paired with your niggling intuition, this means recognizing when and where your gift is most useful.
This is likely going to be different for everyone in this pile, but my general sense here is that it
needs to be applied to work this month.
That means seeing your intuition and its psychic benefits within a professional capacity. One of the best ways to do this is to keep a work diary. Every day after work, write two to three sentences about your experiences and your feelings.
This increases your awareness of events and you’ll begin identifying when you “knew” you should have done something. Once you notice your intuition at work when you’re at work, you’ll trust your gut instinct more.
Many people naturally shut off their instinct when they’re on the job unless they deal with people. The problem with this is that your intuition can help you in complex situations where the answer is uncertain and you have no support. Everyone has experienced this moment in some form, and it’s never comfortable.
But you don’t have to turn it off if you know the difference between impulse and intuition. Finding your balance is what you should start doing this week.
Week 2: April 11th to the 17th
Your next card is The Hierophant. Here I see you making a plan for when and where to use your intuition. You should have written at least a few journal entries last week, and now you can use that data in an organized way.
Make a plan, even if it’s just a temporary one, for how you can use your intuition. When I was working in tech support, I often used my intuition for weird situations so I could resolve a call faster. Sometimes, the standard course of action wasn’t sufficient, and I needed to be ready to react in unexpected ways.
Identify an area of your work that you struggle with and brainstorm ways that using your intuition may help you resolve some of that conflict. It’s okay if you aren’t 100% certain because the point is making a plan that you’re going to follow through with.
Intuition is not something you just read about, but experience, and since it’s so individualized, you won’t really know how to apply it until you start. But it will help you this week to make a rough, but targeted plan so you can measure your gift’s effectiveness later on.
Week 3: April 18th to the 24th
The third week is seen in the Nine of Wands, Reversed card. I see this as representing your efforts to use your intuition. Upright, this card suggests victory, but one which comes at a cost. As a reversal, I read this as learning what doesn’t work, but not suffering any serious wounds in the process.
You’re likely going to play Thomas Edison this week and learn all the ways your intuition doesn’t work. This may be frustrating and you probably won’t like it, but take comfort in the fact these experiments won’t do any lasting harm.
Week 4: April 25th to the 30th
Your final card is the Eight of Pentacles. Here I see you finally grasping hold of a way that your intuition can help you at work and then perfecting its use.
This will be a joyful experience and likely give you a much happier perspective of working in general. The man in the card is focused and able to be very productive. A job well done is often a job enjoyed.
That’s the strength of using your intuition at work: it helps you enter and stay within a flow state even in difficult situations where you don’t traditionally have control.
I’m reminded again of the symbolism of your theme card. Despite the darkness of the card, the woman is in the light and at peace. I do think that once you find a way for your intuition to help you at work, you’ll feel empowered in ways you didn’t know before. No longer will work have power over you. Instead, you’ll hold the power.
Which, numerically, is what the number eight means. You will have power you didn’t realize because of the application of your intuition at work. Revel in it. You have the right to be powerful and feel that power.
