Hello, my soul friends! Today I have a psychic tarot reading on what to expect socially in 2024. This will cover the main themes in romance, family, friendship, your general social network, and enemies.

Pile 1: Cat

Overview

You have a generally positive year when it comes to relationships with some minor frustrations I think you’ll be able to handle.

Romance

In your romantic life, I pulled the wonderful Two of Wands. There’s going to be a lot of passion and intention when it comes to love.

If you’re single, expect to find someone new this year or set the foundation to make it possible. Those who still need a bit more time will glow up or get their life in order while those who are ready will carefully vet their options before finding a committed relationship.

As for those already in a relationship, you should feel like you’re a real pair. Intimacy will grow and your sex life or attraction should be off the charts.

This physical closeness will lead to you furthering your commitment to each other with either marriage or a big life milestone being planned for together on the horizon.

Family

It seems like family relationships will be a bit tenser for you with the Four of Cups card. I don’t see any major disagreements, but your family will try to insert themselves into your life and you won’t be as interested.

With older family members, it could be a problem of gossip or making themselves at home long after you’ve ended a get-together.

Children are likely to be especially annoying this year. Perhaps these children are getting older and demanding things from you that are unreasonable.

This card could also be a sign of an unwanted pregnancy or finding yourself responsible for a sick family member.

All this suggests a lot of frustration, but it also indicates accepting your responsibilities being the best course of action. The issues I see in this card are temporary and not malevolent. Open your heart a bit more and don’t be entirely focused on romance at the expense of your other close relationships.

Friends

One or more of your friends will be leaving your life this year. The Six of Swords indicates that this person (or even you!) will move away, leaving everything in their social life behind.

This isn’t what they wanted even if they’re moving for good reasons. They’ll feel as if leaving will be something they’ll regret socially forever.

Don’t make the mistake of assuming distance equals never being in each other’s lives again. If this person is a casual friend, hit them up on social media now and again and perhaps keep them in a group chat with more of your friends so you can stay connected.

If this is someone you’re very close to, make more of an effort and perhaps consider them more like a family member. Could you video call them or visit them on holiday? Perhaps they could visit you? Goodbye doesn’t have to mean goodbye.

Social Network

When it comes to acquaintances and relationships with people like coworkers, they’re going to be an unexpected support. The Nine of Wands suggests you’re going to encounter difficulty and that someone you have a more casual relationship with will have your back.

This could be someone who “replaces” the friend who moves away, so don’t be shy when it comes to inviting them into your life. This person helping you out is a wonderful opportunity to forge a deeper friendship.

Now for some of you, this person may not be your age. In this case, the friendship you have may not be a traditional friendship. Perhaps they’ll be a mentor or you’ll be their mentor – either way, the bond has the potential to be more rewarding than you think just because you don’t have all the same interests.

Enemies

There is a person you should watch out for this year. The Prince of Wands suggests a young man, perhaps younger than you, being hotheaded and destructive.

This person is very passionate and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, including hurting you. It’s possible that the previously mentioned difficulty in the last card could be related to this person. That means there’s a good chance he’s a coworker or other acquaintance and not someone you’re already close to.

Fortunately, I don’t see him being successful. You’ll get support from the people in your life and will likely have a greater maturity or ability than him anyhow.

Pile 2: Parrot

Overview

This will be a year of excitement and prioritization when it comes to your relationships – and some reconciliation too.

Romance

You’re preparing for something big to happen in your life soon. The Seven of Discs indicates investment and waiting. Notice how the woman in this card is pregnant.

This indicates a few possibilities. Obviously, for those seeking to get pregnant, it will likely happen this year (though you may give birth in the next). It will also be a planned or wanted pregnancy.

But romance in general is positive this year. For those who are single, you’ll spend most of the year preparing to date or dating. But you’ll probably find someone by the end or begin dating someone who will become committed to you in the next year.

As for those already in a relationship, this means you’re preparing for the next stage in the relationship. You won’t be ready to start that next stage, but you’ll lay all the groundwork. This would be like someone preparing a proposal or finishing a project so you can move in together. It’s a happy anticipatory energy.

There may be some frustration in the waiting, but it will all end well, so don’t fear and enjoy the planning stage.

Family

There’s a bit of loneliness when it comes to family for you this year. The Hermit suggests you won’t spend as much time with extended family through visitation.

Because this card is often associated with an elderly man, it could be a sign that an aging family member passes or relocates for their health. It may seem like a family member moving for retirement won’t lead to being disconnected, but that’s likely to happen here as they explore their new home and get distracted.

So make sure to spend as much time with elderly or sick family members as soon as possible so you don’t miss the chance later on.

This card could indicate that you also step away from family because of travel or going no contact. If it’s the former, make sure to keep in contact through whatever method you like best.

I also really got the sense for those with children that your child will become more independent and prefer to spend more time with friends or on their hobbies than with you. This is normal, but make sure you’re still doing things together like family meals or outings.

Friends

There’s some difficulty with friendship this year. The Devil could be a sign that you and a friend find yourselves in a compromising situation. Perhaps you both act impulsively and do something you’ll regret, like drugs, cheating, or putting yourself in danger.

This can cause a very serious problem if you aren’t careful. My recommendation is to make sure that you aren’t spending time with someone who always chooses to do the wrong thing – and if you’re that person to someone else, that you don’t tempt them either.

You may be a great person most of the time, but when certain personalities get together, they can bring out the worst in each other.

Learn who or in what circumstances you act in negative ways so you can avoid that this year.

Social Network

I think it’ll be an interesting year when it comes to your casual relationships like acquaintances and coworkers. The Five of Wands suggests a healthy, but not destructive competitive energy.

At work, you’re likely to develop a friendly competition with someone. At times, this relationship may seem like a frenemy situation, but the conflict brings out the best in you instead of the worst.

My recommendation here is to embrace the motivation and the competitive energy this card promotes and make sure that you’re being a good sport. Work to win, but don’t work to shame the person you try to beat.

This energy will also occur elsewhere in life. You may enjoy playing games with casual acquaintances and this could lead to stronger friendships.

Just be mindful that this competitive energy that turns into a friendship doesn’t result in the self-destructive behavior we saw earlier in The Devil card.

Enemies

Some really good news on the enemy front this year. The Four of Wands suggests you’ll either have no major hostilities of note or that an existing hostility is finally reconciled.

An enemy situation may turn into a frenemy or friendship. In that case, the source of hostility is not knowing how to translate your different personalities into something productive.

But this card could also indicate that someone you’ve had a difficult relationship with turns into a romance or that an ex or failing romantic relationship turns itself around and results in a joyous situation, like marriage or a renewal of vows.

What I want you to be on the lookout for are opportunities to make amends. I think this person also wants to bury the hatchet.

Pile 3: Shark

Overview

There is some tribulation ahead, but you’re going to come out victorious when it comes to your relationships.

Romance

You’re going to find a lot of comfort in your romantic relationship this year. The Justice card suggests that those in a relationship will find their partner supporting them through a difficult situation with family or an enemy later this year.

That’s exactly what’s good about having a significant other: when times are hard, this person will have your back in ways other family and friends couldn’t.

If you’re single, this card could suggest a karmic relationship coming into your life, like a soulmate or a twin flame. You were previously unlucky in romance, but things are going to look up for you from now on.

Just know that whenever this card is present, it’s also asking you to be on your best behavior. Whatever you ask from your partner, make sure you’re willing to give them the same in return should the situation arise.

Family

I sense a serious but perhaps resolvable conflict in your family this year. The Five of Swords card is about winning or losing. That means there’s going to be some sort of serious argument or misfortune that divides your family.

Some of you may not have that division but face misfortune in your family.

Either way, situations like this are often fraught with emotions and it could lead to members of your family taking sides or being especially sensitive.

If you’re in a romantic relationship, seek comfort in this person and perhaps enlist them to serve as a negotiator if necessary.

For those single or not yet far enough in a relationship to ask this of a romantic partner, you’re going to need to seek support from someone you trust. I don’t think you can handle this alone. You’re far too likely to say or do something you regret if you don’t check in with someone who can give you a second opinion.

Friends

You’re going to have a fruitful ally in the Princess of Discs. This is a female friend or a younger woman who is reasonably close to you. She’s going to have a lot of novel ideas and be inspiring.

Even if she can’t directly intercede in your family conflict, she’ll probably give great advice for any questions you have. Since she may be younger than you or at least seems immature, you may not think she has good advice – but go ahead and ask as you’ll be surprised how useful her perspective is.

This person may be a female coworker or someone in your neighborhood who you know, but not well yet. In that case, don’t be afraid to spend more time and get to know her. I sense having a friendship with her will bring you a lot of good luck down the road.

Social Network

There’s so much opportunity to forge new relationships this year. The Ace of Cups suggests you’ll meet someone new or perhaps a lot of new people. This will be very exciting and it will broaden your horizons significantly.

This person or these people will heal your spirit and make you feel emotionally whole. This is important as you’ll likely feel a bit wounded by your family conflicts.

It’s also a good sign that work will be generally positive on the social front. If you’re starting a new job or finding yourself in a new environment, it’ll be an optimistic time.

Don’t be afraid to go out for drinks or other social events. I don’t sense a lot of deep friendships here, but just because you aren’t best friends with everyone doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy their company for what it is.

Enemies

Ah, the last card. I won’t mince my words here: the King of Wands suggests a powerful foe.

Because of the rest of your spread, this could be an ex, a soon-to-be ex, or a male family member, especially an older one. It’s unlikely to be someone related to work or an acquaintance.

This person has a powerful influence on your life and they’re very determined to get what they want. He will usually succeed. He’s got a lot of experience.

It’ll be difficult to challenge him, but I think you can handle him if you find a partner in a significant other, another family member, or the Princess of Discs.

He will be very good at getting you to doubt yourself, so having this partner on your side will help inspire you and serve as someone you can go to when you need a sounding board.

It’ll be a war of attrition, but you can survive his onslaught and emerge victorious if you don’t give up.
