Your Career Talent: Tarot Pick a Card
Everybody has a natural talent or one they’ve cultivated across their life that they haven’t yet realized. This natural talent can be used in your career to help you succeed and enjoy what you do.
Wondering what your career talent is? You can find out with this tarot pick a card.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. Which animal stands out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Kawaii Tarot and the Energy Oracle decks while the animals are from an Acekar Sticker Pack (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase).
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out what your career talent is.
Pile 1: Donkey
Lightworker
Your first card is Seventh Chakra, Archangel Uriel. This is about your connection to the divine and it’s very strong. That means you can use your spirituality in your work somehow.
This could be directly. For example, some of you may want a career related to spirituality and religion. That would make sense because it would be using one of your greatest competencies in a big way.
But this could be indirect too. Those with a strong seventh chakra can understand higher realms and the value of life. You may be attracted to charitable causes while others may want to work with people or animals.
Some may be interested in knowing the truth through a scientific or academic endeavor.
Simply put, your connection to the divine makes you comfortable with pursuing great truths or using your knowledge of great truths positively. You’re almost certainly a lightworker or have skills adjacent to one.
Many Options, But Set Boundaries
The next card in your spread is the Four of Pentacles, Reversed. I see two possible meanings here. The first is that you aren’t connected to the physical world. That doesn’t mean you don’t care, but it’s unlikely you want to get dirty or involve yourself in materialistic concerns. You’re high-minded instead of down-to-earth.
A second possible meaning is that you aren’t greedy. You want to do something good for others or the world and money isn’t a concern for you.
While this can lead to frustrating situations where too much is asked of you, it also means you have a lot more career opportunities than most. You’re willing to sacrifice a high income and that means you can take a lower-paying passion job and get more out of it than others.
Just make sure that if this is the case for you that you either budget effectively or you learn to draw the line when it comes to your time and money. Personal boundaries are critical for your emotional health.
Creative Skill
The last card in your spread is Nine of Swords. I was tempted to talk about anxiety here, and while I do think some of you will be a comfort to other people… I actually think in your spread it’s primarily talking about the dream state.
Some of you are going to be creative. Your access to the divine helps you to see what matters in life and this will help you to create something meaningful, like art, music, or an invention.
I’ll use an example: a good artist doesn’t draw everything they see, but the most important things. You don’t draw every pore on a person’s skin but a representation of their face.
You’re able to see what matters and the symbolism behind what matters. Don’t worry so much about the details – consider the higher purpose of what you do and what you’re creating.

Pile 2: Pug
Uplift Others
I see that your first card is Door to Spirit. You have the talent of helping others reach their full potential. This can be used in many ways in all careers, so understand that what this career talent truly can be is empowering others.
This makes you an invaluable person to have around. If you work in a traditional workplace, you have the potential to be an amazing mentor. That’s a relationship that can last a lifetime even after your mentee has moved on to other workplaces.
But you can also brighten the lives of customers or clients too. This could be something in person, but it can also be through something you create.
Overall, your goal should be to create something that uplifts another person. Not all jobs do this well – for example, stock brokers rarely interact with people in a meaningful way. So if you don’t have a job where you interact with someone or create something of value, you’ll feel yourself shine through mentorship instead.
This doesn’t have to be a one-on-one scenario. You could create a book, course, or online video series. Let your creativity shine here in how you reach out to others.
Balance Your Energy
The second card is the Four of Cups. Realize that not everyone is deserving of your time and energy. You should be discerning when taking on a mentorship. Try to meet with the person beforehand and see if your personalities match. Not every personality does even if both try their best.
But this warning also extends to pouring your energy into other people. You can’t help all people all the time, so focus instead on where you can provide value with whatever expertise you have.
For example, a teacher can’t be a parent to all their students. They need to balance work with their personal lives, but also be fair in how they divide their attention in the classroom.
It may be helpful for you to know what your job description is and to follow it. If you work a non-traditional job or are self-employed, consider writing a job description for yourself so you have a template to follow. What would crossing a line with your personal life be?
If you spread your energy too thin you won’t be able to uplift everyone at all. Instead, you’ll suffer depersonalization and see the people you meet as mere numbers. And that will hurt your quality of life on the job.
Don’t Get Distracted
Your final card is the Two of Wands. Be willing to learn new things and don’t get invested in any one method. Make it a goal to pursue professional development. It doesn’t have to take up a lot of time, but I think if you make it a priority to spend a few hours each week you’ll be pleased with your progress.
That’s because you may be tempted to focus only on other people and not yourself. This can cause you to stall in your career. While your talent is amazing, you’re at risk of being distracted because of your empathy.

Pile 3: Narwhal
Don’t Be Afraid, Have Fortitude
Your first card is Anxiety. There are a lot of decision and thought-based cards in your spread, so I see this as a sign that your career talent is using anticipation to your advantage.
People who think ahead, especially in worst-case scenarios, are better prepared for whatever comes their way. It’s not always easy to deal with the harsh emotional resonance of this talent, but you’re less likely to be destroyed by an adverse career event.
How do you use this to your advantage? You need to channel your anxiety into planning. Just because you plan for something doesn’t mean you’re intending for it to happen. A school with a fire drill plan may never have a fire and not expect one, but having such a plan in place ensures the safety of every student in the rare instance it does happen. That’s a lot of peace of mind.
You need to channel your energy into thinking ahead. What do you want for your career? What do you not want? Is there something you’d like to avoid?
Your Care Is Unmatched
You have excellent judgment as indicated by your second card, Judgment. You need to learn to trust your intuition and your research skills when making a plan. Try not to second guess anything you’ve planned for unless you have a good reason to revise what you decided to do.
But this also means you have a keen eye for true opportunities. One way you can use your career talent to your advantage is not to avoid disaster, but to invite abundance. Keep your eye open for anything that interests you and pursue it with fervor.
Don’t let the world influence you away from your own good judgment. If there’s something you think is right for a project you’re working on or for an advancement in your career, stay true to it.
Your skill is also absolutely necessary for any job that requires a lot of responsibility. Most people are careless, but you’re not and this will allow you to give the time and attention to delicate tasks that other people fumble.
Return to Who You Are
The third card is Eight of Cups. This is a card of return and I get the sense that you veered away from your career talent. Just because you have the talent to use anxiety to your advantage doesn’t mean you’re using it effectively.
You’ve probably been told to put your head in the sand or to not overanalyze things. However, overanalyzing things can be a skill which used appropriately. Just make sure that when you use this talent it’s for an immediately actionable reason.
It’s not healthy to feel anxious about your coworkers and then do nothing about it. But it is healthy to feel anxious about your coworkers and create a plan for how to address it.
You have the right to address your concerns in your career and you can do it well – just believe in yourself and your good judgment.
