You Should Know This: Tarot Pick a Card
Do you feel a strange, intuitive sense that there’s something you should know, but can’t quite figure out? Chances are, the universe has been sending you messages for some time. I find that one of the most effective ways to channel these messages are tarot pick a cards.
If you’ve been drawn to this reading, then that means you’ve finally found a source to hear this message. All you have to do is look at the three piles above and choose the one that sticks out to you the most.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Golden Art Nouveau Tarot and the Moonology oracle decks. Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to find out your personal message from the universe.
Pile 1: Red Hair
Something Wonderful Is Coming
Here, your two oracle cards are feeding into the central message of your tarot card, The Empress, Reversed. There’s a lot of feminine energy here and I interpret that as a creative or material force. But this force has been subdued recently.
Have you felt blocked or unable to manifest what it is you want? I find that this phenomenon can sneak up on me. I’ll be creating and manifesting, but the work I put in becomes less fruitful over time.
The universe needs you to know that any frustrations you’re having right now have this as the root cause.
One common interpretation of this card is that The Empress is pregnant. I think it reflects something growing inside of you. It’s needed time to take shape just like a child needs many months in the womb.
Even though you may find your current obstacles annoying, understand that not everything worthwhile is instantaneous – or without struggle. Being pregnant is rarely an easy experience for the mother, and gestating whatever is growing inside of you creatively is a process itself.
But when it does manifest? You’re going to love and feel immense fulfillment at the result.
Prepare for a Life Change
The next card I want to talk about is the Waxing Moon with the wisdom message of “The energy is gaining momentum.” Most of this card’s meaning was implied in the last section, so I’ll add something new here:
At first, you’ll spend a lot of time anxiously waiting for your manifestation. You won’t know exactly when it’s going to come. But when it does, there will be an exciting moment of clarity and then quite a bit of work involved to bring it to fruition.
Those who follow the moon for ritualistic purposes rarely observe this particular phase. Rather, it represents a transition between the New Moon and the Full Moon. I don’t sense that you need to come up with anything new as what you’re going to manifest is already growing. Rather, you need to look at your life and make adjustments.
These adjustments are a bit like nesting. You prepare your environment and yourself for the momentous labor ahead of you and the prize on the other end of it. Use your intuition to guide you to what must be done. In doubt? Look around and let your heart motivate you. Or look at existing projects or finished works of art related to what you might be about to manifest.
Watching motivation videos and trying new productivity methods may be called for here.
A Worthwhile Experience
The last card in your spread is the Full Moon in Libra with the wisdom message of “A win-win outcome is forecast.”
Because I don’t sense any inherent conflict within your spread against another person or force of nature, I interpret this conflict as internal. You’ll come to a point of balance. Everything you’ve been through to manifest what’s lingering within you will be an important lesson. No hard moment will come without catharsis.
This manifestation is only a gain and not a loss. Be sure to reflect after the manifestation on your life because you’ll see the depths of brilliance that were created in its wake. The journey was also part of the prize even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time.

Pile 2: Purple Hair
Now Is Your Time
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but weren’t sure was possible? The universe thinks you should know it is.
Your first card is the Waxing Crescent Moon with the wisdom message of “Have faith in your dreams.” The meaning is clear here, so let’s discuss the timing present in the card and how that’s useful for you to know.
A Waxing Moon is a moon growing towards the Full Moon phase. A Crescent Moon is the phase directly after a New Moon. I sense that the dream which is of interest here is either one you’ve only recently discovered or one you’ve made little progress on despite having it for years.
This lack of experience can be discouraging. Imagine an amateur artist who wants to live from their craft, but they’ve received no formal training and have only ever privately doodled. The dream of being a professional artist can seem distant.
But understand this: experience is what makes a master, and style, what makes you individually distinct, is not a matter of training, but personality across time.
Whatever your dream is, what you need to do is start putting in the time now. The experience will also allow you to infuse your personality and do something unique. The fact that you haven’t pursued it yet may mean the universe wanted you to bring your previous life experiences to the table.
You’re meant to start now. This is the moment you’re supposed to grow from. Your destined style was waiting for this point of your life before it could manifest.
Personal Understandings
Don’t confuse the direct meaning of the next card as something it’s not supposed to be in the spread. Here the Gibbous Moon has the wisdom message of “You’re very close to achieving your goal.” Just as there are many moons in a year, I interpret the goal of this card as you beginning something new.
It’s often said the hardest part is getting started. Your goal in this card isn’t becoming the best at your dream, but actually getting started. There’s an obstacle preventing you from putting the time in which is more than just anxiety over being too late.
Look within and ask yourself what’s causing you to continue putting a pause on your dreams. It may or may not be reasonable. Perhaps your dream necessitates moving to a new location or investing a lot of money. In such a case, it would be important to start saving before leaping.
However, some of you have emotional blockages. Perhaps you think it doesn’t matter if you get started because you’ll never be good enough or you don’t think you’ll have the support of your loved ones. I think this is trickier to overcome as it usually means confronting yourself or other people.
That said, you’ve either done enough self-care to see your worth or you’ve evolved in your relationship with the other person to confront them effectively. The time for your confrontation is coming! And with it begins your initiation to your dream.
Your Journey Begins
The last card in your spread is a simple, but positive encouragement. The Fool is the card you want to see when you plan to start something new. You’re about to begin a journey with joy and optimism. See how sunny and beautiful the card is here?
A white dog barks are your feet. Upright, I see this as your spirit guides standing beside you. Leaping into the unknown can indeed be dangerous, but you can feel confident that your spirit guides will protect you. The journey ahead is not a short one. It’s long and exciting.

Pile 3: Blue Hair
A Time to Be Cared For
There’s a lot of interesting energy in your spread. I sense a fire. Have you ever watched someone on a movie or television struggle to start a fire? At first, the flame is weak and needs a lot of tending. But once it reaches a certain threshold, that small fire becomes enormous and glorious.
I see the same energy here. The Queen of Wands indicates that you’re going to bloom and take control of your life. Because of the feminine energy, there’s a lot of introverted associations with that growth. That’s because of the emotional connotations. You aren’t object-oriented, but people-oriented, and that’s a reciprocal relationship with your environment.
You’re going to need a positive relationship with the people or nature around you. Reach out to your loved ones and enjoy time together. This can be as simple as having dinner and a movie or chatting online.
What this does is increase your sense of self-worth and understanding of your power to manifest what you want in life. I also sense that the black cat here represents your spirit guides or magical abilities. That means your joys will be externalized and very present in your daily life. I wouldn’t be surprised if people consider you lucky or particularly skilled in the coming months in at least one area of your life.
Like a flame, you need tending to grow. So allow yourself the emotional tending you need.
Building Your Fire
While you’re making emotional and social connections, you’re going to embody the New Moon in Pisces card with the wisdom message of “Meditate and contemplate.” Here, the social connotations of the water sign are present in the fish as they swirl around the moon. To me, I see that moon as you and the fish the people in your environment.
It’ll almost be like they’re a protective cocoon as you grow. But this growth is spiritual. All these connections you’re making aren’t superficial in their value but important to your wellbeing. Your vibrations will rise and with that, you’ll be able to grow in your ability to manifest.
Perhaps a less woo way to say it is simply this: when you feel recognized by your community, you feel empowered. The difference with you is that this won’t only be a feeling, but an actuality.
This inner transformation you’ll experience will give you time to dwell on a thought or personal mission. Perhaps you’ll share it in totality or in bits with those you care about and you’ll start forming a plan on how to tackle it.
You won’t act right away. Just like that fire that’s being tended to, you need more logs at the base before the flame will rise. At this time, you’re building your personal fire.
Letting Your Fire Burn
Your last card is Cardinal Moon with the wisdom message of “Be bold and make the first move.” Although this could be any cardinal zodiac sign, I see more Aries than anything else in this card.
Perhaps you’ve been through a rough time lately. Know that the cycle is soon over. The New Moon in Pisces card represented the end of that cycle and what you needed to internalize and process before moving on. Now you’re starting anew with a brilliant burst of flame.
I don’t have a particular sense of what exactly this fire will be used for. Perhaps that is too varied for everyone who picks this pile or the universe wants you to use your free will to make the most of what you want in your life.
Either way, know you’re building towards something powerful. When you’re ready, and you know when you will be, you’ll burn brightly and make a huge advance forward!
