Message From the Universe — Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today I have a psychic tarot reading with a message from the universe. I’m using a very spiritual deck today so expect a message on divine themes.
To receive your message from the universe, pick one of the piles above using your intuition.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
For this reading, I’ve chosen the Starseed Oracle deck (this is an affiliate link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s see what special message the universe has for you today.
Pile 1: Potted Flowers

Gift from the Great Divine
Your spread is all about tapping into a spiritual gift you have that has a personal relevance to you right now. The first card, The Golden Children, contains the wisdom message of “Inner child. Tenderness. Innocence. Rare gifts.” That means your spiritual gift has always been with you.
Some who chose this pile may have activated this gift as a child, but the gift weakened over time. Others may have never activated before, but the potential to do so was always there. A lucky few may have activated it and maintained it to this day.
Regardless, the reason this card is showing up in your reading now is that your gift is immediately relevant to your personal life. It’s not just that you have this gift, but that you can now use it to your advantage even if it was previously just a spiritual experience before.
You don’t need training or to refine it. It’s potent enough to help you manifest today.
The World Is Changing
What I find especially interesting about your spread isn’t so much that you have a gift, but that the gift will be tempting to use for other people. It’s not that you shouldn’t, but it appears as if your second card, A New Earth, has the wisdom message of “It’s happening. Keep holding the vision.”
There appears to be something major happening in your environment that is important to you. Because of this, it has your attention. But while it may have your attention, it seems as if your gift either can’t fix this problem or you shouldn’t only use it for that.
Because this card references a vision, I do think there’s a high chance your spiritual gift is either one of discernment or psychic ability. There’s something you see that others don’t, and because of that, you’re driven to let others know the full truth about the situation in your environment.
But you are one person and your gift isn’t only meant to be used for a higher cause. There’s this idea that you can’t save the world until you’ve made your bed or you can’t put on someone else’s oxygen mask in a crashing plane until you put yours on first.
Whatever you think is important in the world around you, the universe is telling you to take care of yourself first. You might be neglecting your own needs and feeling pressured to participate in something beyond your ability or mental health.
Eagle Eye in the Sky
The final card, Perspective, has the wisdom message of “None of this matters. Zoom out. Common ground.” You may be applying a political instead of a timeless lens to what’s happening around you. I see this often in American politics: people look to their party for education on what should be right instead of looking at their own values.
Politics and news are a second-order layer of morality. Your values come first. Just because your political views coincidentally matches your spiritual and value beliefs doesn’t mean you should evaluate new information based on what politically active people tell you to believe.
This is what causes tribalism instead of community. It’s also why what’s happening in the world around you is bothering you so much. You don’t realize you’re being influenced to look at politics for moral guidance instead of your own perspective.
The eye of god is the eye of objectivity. It’s about seeing from a higher perspective.
Spirituality and religion help here and I’ve seen some religious studies scholars argue there’s no difference between a culture and a religion to an outsider. By stepping back and asking what your values are, especially if you’re tapping into your spirituality, then you’re going to be in a better position in life.
This will activate your spiritual gift, but not just in a spiritual or political sense. Those same values you need to tap into are individual and communal. Your values, not your politics, are what’s tied to your spiritual experience and your spiritual gift.
Actual Practice
But what is your spiritual gift? For those who don’t already know, journaling on your values will reveal this to you because it is ultimately activated through the pursuit of those values. You’ll see it manifest there. You might have other spiritual gifts unrelated to your values, but the one of relevance in this message today manifests when you’re acting on your values.
This is a pretty abstract reading, but the universe really wants you to consider your values and live them out before revealing the best way to activate your gift.
Perhaps you’re angry about poverty in the world and you’re on fire when you see economic news. But what is the value at the heart of this feeling? Charity. How can you be charitable with your time, your energy, or your money even in the smallest of ways?
Other people can’t live out your values for you. If you let that happen, you’ll feel as if a part of your soul is being hidden and that will put your spiritual gift in shadow. You may want more people to live up to this value too, but acting it out in your life is a spiritual gift too because it’s going to be empowered in special and mysterious ways.

Pile 2: Green Leaves

The Past Is Yours
Ritual acts are important in your life. This is how you combine the mind, body, and spirit in a single, focused moment. You’ll enter a flow state that helps you feel like you’re in a different reality – a spiritual one.
The first card, Lost Lands, has the wisdom message of “Soul memories and gifts. You’ve done this before.” I see this card as an indication you’ve lived past lives or had periods in this life that were spiritually potent.
That potency has left a mark and you can tap into the memory through ritual. It helps evoke that memory, for some in this pile an entirely lost memory, and activate it. It’ll become more vivid a memory the more rituals you do related to it.
There are a lot of rituals you can do. For those who had spiritual periods in their life already, consider adopting or maintaining a ritual you did. Either re-introduce it or increase the frequency. You might also modify it slightly.
Someone who used to be Christian and now meditates might want to do a quick prayer with that meditation. It can be transformative in that way.
But if you suspect you had a past life, consider doing research and adopting something from that period that resonates with you. It might be a full practice or it might be recognition of that time and place. It could even be your ancestors (we often reincarnate into the same family lines).
Someone who feels as if they had a past life in the Middle East might want to adopt or transform a practice from a traditional religion there. Or perhaps they would like to do a pilgrimage to important historical sights.
You probably have options of multiple periods and places since you may have had multiple past lives. Do what feels right to you. If you have no inkling of your past life, consider researching historical periods and cultures. Something that really sticks out to you may be due to your intuition telling you that a past life had a particularly powerful experience there.
Live Holistically
Something I’ve heard spiritual people argue in favor of is that your mundane, ordinary life should bear the fruit or reflect your spiritual practice. The second card, The Cosmic Heart, has the wisdom message of “Devotion. Potency. Make your life a moving prayer.”
This is a sign that your life should mirror your spiritual practice. I’ve seen a lot of people role-play the idea of gods or spiritual beings, but then go into their ordinary lives and then act as if they’re completely secular and those spiritual beings have no real effect in actuality.
Similarly, I’ve seen people espouse the principles of environmentalism as a spiritual practice be incredibly wasteful and polluting in their daily life. As annoying as some vegans and vegetarians, they’re rarely called hypocrites and consistently try to model a life where their spiritual values of the rights of animal souls are respected in what they buy in as many categories as possible.
Try listing your spiritual practices or beliefs on one side of a paper and then on the right ask how that would be reflected in your everyday life.
You won’t get it perfect, of course, but you should feel as if your spiritual and everyday life are allies instead of strangers.
Control Your Obsession
Spiritual practices and rituals can be exhausting. The final card, Water Your Garden, has the wisdom message of “Nourishment. Body care. Tenderness. Rest.” You may be assuming that your spiritual practices manifest everything you need to advance your life.
I see this with law of attraction. Some people become so obsessed with manifesting that they echo affirmations and scripting like an obsession. But this is a lack of faith in the initial ritual.
Instead of trying to maximize the amount of time you spend in ritual, ask how you can do it as little time as possible, but in the most qualitative way.
For example, when I do important personal readings for myself in tarot, I make sure to sit at a special table, use a special sound bowl, and wear special jewelry. I then write everything down and analyze it. A lot of spiritual people in traditional religions elevate the experience in their own ways too. It’s called making the ritual sacred instead of making it casual and commonplace.
This forces me to elevate the ritual to something of importance and deemphasizes obsessing over smaller tarot readings that I could do for hours every day. I also tend to accept the reading as it is instead of shuffling for a “better” answer.
That one special reading is more potent while the ones I used to do for myself always felt weak and confusing before I made the change. One good ritual is better than seven small ones you aren’t as committed to.
And if you like doing daily rituals, then you actually want to go in the opposite direction – keep it simple and keep it short. You’ll find it more potent that way because it’ll better reflect the time you live between each daily ritual than if you tried to do an hour each morning or spend an absurd amount of money on supplies.
What the rituals do for you manifest outside the ritual. So the longer that outside period is, the greater the effect it’ll have in the first place.
Let me know in the comments by dropping a 🦝 emoji or mentioning “raccoon” that you’re ready for your rituals to mean more than they ever have before. How can you upgrade your rituals without making them needlessly long or numerous? I’d love to know your ideas.

Pile 3: Elegant Bouquet

Greater Than You
I see divine inspiration in your spread, likely coming from your spirit guides or some muse spirit. The first card, Big Picture Thinking, has the wisdom message of “Pleiades energy. Visionary. Inspired ideas.” In this spread, I see this as creativity or problem-solving.
In particular, a creativity informed not by small ideas, but by a big idea or an idea you’ve had for some time. That means for those who have been feeling blocked creatively, that idea will manifest. For the rest, you’re going to get a powerful new idea.
But what’s interesting in your spread is the connection to the past. While this is a spiritual reading and it’ll naturally have a spiritual essence, I do find it interesting that the big picture thinking involved here seems to be multigenerational.
I’m an American so this is a type of thinking that just doesn’t exist where I live normally. However, some cultures, like the Chinese, don’t think in years but decades or even generations. And when you plant a tree whose shade you’ll never stand in, you can create some amazing things.
So whatever your creative idea is I believe it’s connected to a bigger project than the manifestation you’ll create.
Your ancestors, your culture, and perhaps your soul over past lives are building towards something and this life is just one piece in that beautiful puzzle.
As an example: let’s say someone in this spread is interested in medicine. Perhaps they’re part of a long line of healers and their particular interest in medicine is shared with more ancient times. Maybe they’re all driven to help improve the lives of women so they come up with innovative (creative!) methods.
It’s a pattern that plays itself over and over through your creativity or problem-solving.
Divine Connection
Your second card is Lifting the Veil with the wisdom message of “Questioning everything. Anything unaligned must go.” This card has two meanings.
The literal meaning is letting go of anything extra to your creative project. Dreaming of being an artist? You’ll need to learn to create art for art’s sake. You can have secondary motives, but your primary motive must empower at least 50% of why you’re doing something. That means you’ll compromise in other areas.
Another meaning of this card is in its title: lifting the veil, which is about seeing into more spiritual realms.
You may be tempted to attach your creativity to entirely materialistic concerns. How much money it could make you, how famous it could make you, or the technical expertise it takes to accomplish that creativity.
But just as good creativity requires a flow state which is akin to a spiritual experience, I think connecting with the spiritual realm will breathe life into your creativity.
We’ve all seen art that is technically good, but doesn’t move us. And then we’ve seen art that could have better skill, but speaks to us and others. That’s because it’s been infused with soul energy and soul purpose. A lot of AI art is like this – technically good, but lacking true inspiration.
Go ahead and create for the fun of it or to practice, but your muse is pushing you to create something of higher value too. Make sure you set aside time to pursue at least a few projects with that spiritually inspired element.
Your Creative Pattern
You may be underestimating the influence your ancestors have on you creatively. The third card, Star Ancestors, has the wisdom message of “Hidden secrets. Lost wisdom. Look a little deeper.”
While Americans lack multigenerational thinking, they’re part of a culture with a creative heritage. Notably, we’re drawn to Enlightenment ideas, Neo-Classical aesthetics, and Americana anything. If we can put a flag on it – we will.
And all of these concepts show up to some degree in most American creative works. A movie set in college? Socratic method seminars, federalist architecture, and school colors will be present.
Another fun example is romantic storylines in America versus South Korea. American stories rarely have a period where the couple is separated and instead speedrun towards a happily ever after, but this is a common trope in Korean stories at the end to emphasize fate, the concept of emotional longing, and melodrama.
Twisters was a movie I saw recently that did almost everything right in a film but they failed to understand the desire the audience has for a Happily Ever After. The couple did not kiss at the end and nobody has been okay with that. It goes against American expectations of traditional romance in films.
You may not realize it, but your ancestors, both recent and far, have left a mark on you to the point that what seems normal and widespread is actually specific to you and your lineage.
Take some time to compare your creative ideas to what others have done both in your culture and in others. You’ll start to notice a pattern you can’t help but follow because it seems more personal. Don’t ignore this tendency – embrace it. Your muse speaks through this pattern.
You aren’t going to copy it exactly, but by accepting it and integrating it into your creativity, you can create something that speaks to people on a soul level because of multigenerational traditions that have empowered inspired works that came before you.
Let me know in the comments by dropping a 🌪️ emoji or mentioning “tornado” that you’re ready to create something great like so many people have before you. What’s something from your culture that you love to see creatively?
