How to Love Yourself — Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today I have a psychic tarot reading on how to treat yourself with love.
All you have to do is follow your intuition and pick the pile that sticks out to you the most.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
For this reading, I’ve chosen the Sacred Self-Care Oracle deck (this is an affiliated link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out how you can love yourself more.
Pile 1: Fox
Have Fun With Art
You’ve got a treasure trove of ideas on how to love yourself more and they aren’t directly related to each other.
The first card, Create Art, indicates you’ll be able to have an outlet for pent-up emotions or creativity by pursuing an art project.
For some of you, this could be a sign to make art a bigger part of your life, but most will be served by seeing this card as an event suggestion.
It’s not about being a professional artist but enjoying the experience of art itself.
Some countries have places where you can go and paint ceramics. Art stores frequently host classes. You can also follow along with an online tutorial for beginners to create rather impressive pieces for an amateur.
Don’t overthink this: what sounds fun to do even if it’s just once? Do it.
Wear Your Heart as a Sleeve
Your next card is Positive Affirmations. Now you can certainly do a guided affirmation video or audio online, write or say affirmations to yourself, or just focus on being positive.
But I want you to consider a specific affirmation strategy. Find a skin-safe marker and create a cozy environment. Turn on some music, light some candles… whatever it takes.
Then either write on the parts of your body you can see without a mirror or look into a mirror. Write down affirmations you know are true about yourself or you would like to be true about yourself.
Draw cute symbols if you want.
These temporary tattoos are going to be something you sit with for a few hours before you wash them off. I want you to not only say affirmations but literally wear them. Because all affirmations you do in life will eventually become part of you. This ritual just reminds you of that.
Be a Hydrohomie
The final card is Hydrate. You need to either drink water or immerse yourself in water.
The average person should be drinking one to two liters of water, or four to eight glasses for my fellow Americans. Most of the water you need comes from food and other drinks, but your pee should be, at most, a pale yellow throughout the day.
You would already be dead if you were truly dehydrated, so this boosting of your hydration is about optimizing your health. You’ll feel better than you do now, though it may be tricky at first to develop this habit.
If you already get enough water, then this card indicates spending more time in the water by swimming, relaxing, or enjoying a good bath or shower. It helps you to destress and ponder deep thoughts. People often come up with amazing ideas during these times. Maybe you will too.
I loved reading for you! If it resonated, let me know. You can also leave a tip on ko-fi or book a private text reading and get 10% off until December 31 on my Etsy. It’s your last chance. After that, I’ll never offer them again!
Pile 2: Giraffe
Eat Good
Your spread is all about taking it slow. Your first card, Make a Meal, indicates that you should prepare a special meal for yourself.
Make it an event and not just something you prepare every day. If you never cook, now’s the time to make something according to your skill level. If you’re a complete beginner, this could be a frozen pizza, salad, and breadsticks, while those with more skill and confidence can have a much bigger spread.
Be fully present while preparing your meal. Listening to music or an audiobook is okay, but you shouldn’t be rushing away from the kitchen to do something else in between steps.
And remember it’s not just about making the meal: set the table for yourself or cozy up on the couch. Light candles. Wear your favorite outfit. An event is about making the meal special to you in whatever format that will be.
Have Fun
The next card in your spread, Connect with the Earth, is asking you to go outside. If you’re unable to go outside, taking care of a houseplant or watching a nature documentary could be a good substitution.
I want to make another recommendation though. You can combine the first and second cards with a picnic. Picnic food tends to be easy to make. If you currently live in an area where it’s cold, you could do a cold weather hike and have a warm thermos of soup.
However, you don’t have to combine food with this if you don’t want to. Instead, think of an outdoor activity you’ve always wanted to try or haven’t done in a while. Perhaps it’s going to the beach or building a snowman.
It’s good for humans to be outside in nature. It’s very relaxing if you’re in a safe environment. On a spiritual level, it can also help to realign your energy.
Seek Gaia
Your final card is Watch a Movie. This is a clear compliment to the first card, but I want to make a suggestion for those in areas with good weather.
If you have the equipment for a projector and outdoor screen or know someone who does, consider watching a movie outside while you eat.
Now let’s discuss movie options. Self-love means picking a movie that’s going to make you feel great. A drama like Hotel Rwanda might be a compelling story of a true event, but it’s unlikely to make you feel good about yourself.
For this card, consider an indulgent movie that you’ll just enjoy even if you’ve seen it before. I love watching Jane Austen adaptions as my comfort movies.
You could also try a television series, but I’d recommend only a series you can watch in a single night or be prepared to make multiple meals to truly enjoy the continuity of the experience.
Your spread is all about relaxing and unwinding.
I loved reading for you! If it resonated, let me know. You can also leave a tip on ko-fi or book a private text reading and get 10% off until December 31 on my Etsy. It’s your last chance. After that, I’ll never offer them again!
Pile 3: Penguin
Go to the Body Mechanic
Your spread is about an investment in yourself. The first card will require some planning, waiting, and in some cases, cost. This card, Health Checkup, is asking you to go to the doctor. If you already do this as part of a normal routine, ask your doctor if there are other services you should consider for your demographic like an eye appointment.
This isn’t necessarily a sign from the universe that anything is wrong. Instead, see it as making sure you’re on the right track.
Perhaps you have a concerning trend in your weight, diet, lifestyle, or mental health and if you treat it early, you’ll lengthen your quality of life.
You may not even realize that you’re missing out on something. So try asking your doctor if there’s anything more you could do for your health.
Treat Yourself
Everybody should get a massage at one point in their life and your second card, Massage, suggests it’s time for you. It helps to release tension and can be a very relaxing experience. Unfortunately, it can cost quite a bit of money.
You could ask for a gift card as a present for a holiday, birthday, or anniversary. Another option is to get a massage device so you can use the tool in the privacy of your own home at a discounted cost.
If you can afford it, you might want to consider getting a massage with a friend or family member. Spa days can be a lot of fun and be an amazing memory to have with someone. This might be a good alternative to simply eating out or going shopping.
Count Your Sheep
The third card in your spread, Dream Journal, is affordable but requires more planning and persistence to get done right.
In the first few minutes after you wake up, write down your dreams or what you remember of them. The more you do it, the better your recall will be. If you don’t like writing, you can record audio or video on your phone.
For those already doing this, consider lucid dreaming or similar dream-state activities.
But what if you really suck at this? Another option is to daydream and then write down a summary of where your mind wanders. It’s not a direct analog, but it can be revealing of what your mind tends to focus on. It’s less subconscious, but it can be helpful to determine if you’re focused on positive thoughts or if you’re reliving anxieties.
Whichever dream journal method you choose, know you only have to do this for a few weeks at most. The point is to check in with yourself and see if there’s anything your subconscious is telling you that you’re letting pass you by.
I loved reading for you! If it resonated, let me know. You can also leave a tip on ko-fi or book a private text reading and get 10% off until December 31 on my Etsy. It’s your last chance. After that, I’ll never offer them again!
Beautiful reminder to take care of ourselves in simple ways that I personally tend to forget 🧘
Thanks! I’m glad it could help you. 🙂
