Be More Resourceful: Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today I have a psychic reading on how to be more resourceful in life.
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which animal inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Mystic Mondays Tarot deck (this is an affiliate link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to make use of your environment and be more resourceful!
Pile 1: Dog
The Universe is On Your Side
You have a positive spread and that indicates you’re either already resourceful or it’s a latent ability that won’t take much to power up and make present in your life.
The first card in your spread, Justice, is upright, which means it’s favoring you. You’ll receive a favorable judgment soon, either through the legal system, social change, or through karma. Something you’ve done in the past or are about to do soon will result in a reward for you.
I’m not seeing you having to do something different in this spread, and because of the third card, I also don’t see you planning for this reward to come into fruition.
Rather: just keep doing what you’re doing and making sure you’re on the right side of morality. And you probably already are. Something good is coming your way and you deserve it.
Enjoy Your Bliss
The second card in your spread is The Empress. This is a bountiful and abundant card. It’s also an extremely positive sign that you’re going to be very resourceful soon. It will be an abundance that almost overflows in its generosity.
But how will that take shape?
This card is more focused on what you have. It’s also frequently said that the woman on this card is pregnant in other decks, so even her motherly and feminine attributes are focused inward rather than on other people. I see in this deck she doesn’t look pregnant at all and appears to be leaning back and enjoying her luxuries.
I see an easy period coming soon. You’ll have more resources than you know what to do with and will likely choose to lounge around. Perhaps this is even something you deserve after a long struggle. Your previous card, Justice, does indicate the possibility of a more difficult past.
Will You Be Satisfied?
When I’m looking at this spread, I see a lot of joy and resources for you to be content with. There’s not much action. The third card, Two of Wands, Reversed, is where things get interesting.
I don’t necessarily see this as a negative card in this spread. It essentially means a lack of planning and staying within yourself. If that’s what you choose to do with the abundance you’re about to be given – I don’t see the harm. Sometimes it’s just nice to enjoy the gifts you receive.
But if you’re hoping to achieve something or conclude a project, that’s different than having a lot of resources. Even though you’re very resourceful in this spread, I’m not seeing you using those resources to invest back into yourself. You’re resting on your laurels.
Example: somebody becomes self-employed and all their needs are taken care of. But they decide not to go for more than that.
Nothing wrong with enjoying where you are and it seems like you’ll be in a very enjoyable place soon and some will be happy with that.
But if you aren’t satisfied with that, the way you get over that hurdle is to be willing to take the risk of using some of your resources, like time, money, or skills, to try and accomplish something more.

Pile 2: Ladybug
You’re Blocked
I see a lot of negativity in your spread. All the cards are reversed and if they were upright, they would be very positive cards when it comes to being resourceful.
I take this to mean you can be resourceful, but something went wrong and it needs to be corrected. So let’s get into it.
Your first card, King of Pentacles, Reversed, means an abuse of resources. For some in this spread, it could be because of an oppressive boss or masculine figure in your life. Others may feel as if they’re the ones abusing their own resources.
You can harvest resources from your environment, but this King of Pentacles, Reversed energy is blocking that ability. If it’s another person, you may need to push them out of your life or confront them. If it’s you, then you need to review bad financial, health, or productivity habits you may have. Sometimes you can be your own worst enemy.
Ideals Are Dead
The next card is also person-related. This is the Knight of Cups, Reversed. Your ability to be passionate about life has been hampered, either by a charismatic, but morally corrupt masculine figure or yourself.
If it’s someone else, this person is different from the King of Pentacles, Reversed. It’s more likely to be a peer, like a coworker or someone in your social circle around your age. Perhaps even someone younger than you or who you’re in a position of authority over. Some may even see this as a significant other whom you’re in a disagreement with or whom you’ve broken up with.
Either way, this person is easier to handle than the King of Pentacles, Reversed when it comes to your personal resources.
However, you’re easily sweet-talked out of all your attempts to stop them. Be very wary of how easy it is for this person to use their words and emotions to change your mind.
What if this person is yourself? You’re not living according to your dreams in some manner. It’s good to be productive and responsible, but if you don’t resonate with your plans to some degree, you’ll subconsciously sabotage your efforts so you don’t find yourself doing more of what you hate.
Fight for Yourself
The third card is the Five of Swords, Reversed. This is a defeat card and I see that as your current predicament. The two previous cards have overruled your desires and have likely psychologically affected your perception of what’s possible.
Know that this loss is only temporary – provided you’re willing to get back into the fray. To be resourceful means challenging your current obstacles even if it’s uncomfortable.
As this is a sword card, that means rational thought and action. Take some time to plan how you’ll tackle this situation and commit to action. There will be no progress towards personal victory until you enter into battle, so to speak.
Expect to parry some blows and perhaps even be slightly wounded in the process. That said, this fight is worth it because it’ll put you into a better situation going forward and you’ll trump these troublesome obstacles.
If you’re fighting other people, you may need to play dirty or be willing to get them punished. If it’s your own psychological mindset, you’ll need to detach and let go of some harmful ideas you’ve had in the past.

Pile 3: Wombat
Take Time for Yourself
You’re not in the best place emotionally right now or you won’t be soon. The first card in your spread, Strength, Reversed, indicates that you may be depressed or about to enter into a temporary depressed period.
This indicates a misfortunate event that will challenge your ability to be resourceful. Because of the other two cards in this spread, this is likely to deal with relationships.
Your emotions will be compromised and it will be difficult for you to be motivated and in a good place. Make sure that you’re seeking self-care and anything you need to recover.
Believe it or not, but it’s hard to be productive when you’re sad! And you have the right to process your emotions first.
Be aware that during this time you’re likely to be emotionally volatile. Even if you have other good relationships in your life, you may say something unkind. Some of you may also be tempted by addictions or other dangerous behaviors. You’ll have to fight that and it’s okay to focus your resources on that instead of things like work.
The Other Person
The second card in your spread, Two of Cups, Reversed, suggests problems with a significant other or someone that you’re very close to, like a business partner or best friend.
Since this is a minor arcana card, that doesn’t necessarily mean something like divorce or losing this person, but it can indicate an argument or temporary break from each other. Since the resolution of this issue requires two people, not just you, it may mean you feel powerless until this other person is ready to reconcile.
That could be contributing to your depressive period and the reason why you’re emotionally volatile. Waiting isn’t easy. Fight the desire to get revenge when the goal is reconciliation.
For you, being more resourceful is dependent on that reconciliation and making your commitment to this other person stronger. Focus on that event because that will set you back on track when it comes to personal abundance and productivity.
The Past is to Blame
Now for most in this spread, I’m seeing a current relationship. However, the third card, Six of Cups, Reversed, is about a bad past.
For those to whom this spread is about a current relationship, this means the problem comes from something in the past. It’s not really new. So true reconciliation of this problem will resolve an undercurrent of frustration you’ve been dealing with for some time. You’ll be more resourceful going forward for that reason.
But for others, this is about your perception of past relationships. You’re sad because you’re single or you don’t have the meaningful friendships or family you feel would make you happy.
Solving that isn’t easy otherwise you would’ve already done it. But know that solving it won’t just make your social life better, but your material life too.
Focus on just building one relationship or social activity. Reconnect with someone from the past or try to invest in someone who looks promising now. Try dating. Those who are socially isolated can identify one hobby or lifestyle trait they have and look for groups related to that.
If you feel this problem is deeper than doing those actions could help, seek out therapy or some other professional. It’s okay to admit you can’t do it alone and you deserve to be happier.
