Ascend Your Throne: Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! This is a tarot reading to help you reach the pinnacle of your success in whatever form that may be.
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which crystal inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Mystical Manga Tarot deck (this is an affiliate link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s make you the ruler of your life.
Pile 1: Lapis Lazuli
Build Yourself Up
You have a fairly traditional spread for this type of reading. The first card is King of Coins, meaning you need to take a material approach to personal life ascension. Focus on your career, wealth, or health to succeed.
Because this is a king card, that means you’re focusing on the external world and this is doubly true with it being a coins card. That’s not to say something like spirituality and relationships don’t matter, but you need to be able to measure things and build a physical foundation.
This also means that it’s going to be easier to measure your progress along the way. It shouldn’t ever be a mystery as to how you’re doing when it comes to success.
The good news is that I did pull a monarchal card in your spread and that signifies you can rise higher than most and perhaps with fewer obstacles.
But what you need to do is imagine a physical future that can realistically be built for yourself. It wouldn’t serve you to dream of looking like a runway model if you’re short, but you could build a lean build for your body and style yourself fashionably.
Manage Your Time
The second card in your spread is the Two of Coins. This is a card of endless possibility and multitasking. It’s common and good advice to pick one goal and focus on that, but it seems like you can juggle multiple things at once.
So be expansive and open in your thinking. Just know that for every project you take on, you will need to set aside time to work on it.
That said, I think you will surprise yourself with what you could do. A person who wants to improve their health doesn’t need to spend the next year only working on their diet. They could exercise and practice mental wellness too. That’s what I mean by taking on more than one project at once.
Your primary goal here isn’t limiting your projects, but energy management. Figure out when and how much you can work. Optimize that and the projects will naturally fall into place.
You may also find it helpful to rotate through projects as well so you can focus, but then switch when you get bored or want to make progress elsewhere.
Do What You Love
Your final card is the Queen of Cups. This is an internal card, and since this is a cups card, that means mastering your internal emotions.
I think you’re quite skilled and could do many things in life. Did you know almost every person can learn to draw or sing? It’s mostly a matter of mechanical skills. However, few people are willing to put in the years to develop these talents even if it would be cool to have those skills.
That’s something you need to realize: you have potential, but only pursue the potential you care about. Let what you don’t want to spend time on fall away for what you do. And the way you can identify this is by focusing on what you enjoy doing. It’s usually not enough to like the result.
This is definitely true with fitness. Not everyone likes to run and they usually need to find an activity that they find fun to establish a routine. Find what you love.

Pile 2: Red Jasper
Don’t Stress About Perfection
To ascend the throne of your life, you need to confront your emotions and mental state. The first card, Eight of Pentacles, Reversed, indicates that you need to let go of perfectionism.
You’ve probably heard the saying that “perfect is the enemy of good” and that applies in your case. But let me use a famous art class example you may or may not half heard of before.
A teacher divided his class into two halves. The first half spent the whole semester trying to make their project perfect while the other half did many iterations of the project.
Guess which half had a better score on their final? Not the students who worked all semester on the same project, but the students who did many projects and learned from their mistakes.
You may think being perfect is the answer, but perfectionism limits you. It doesn’t uplift you at all.
You Are Your Own Worst Enemy
Your second card is Judgment, Reversed. You need to learn not to judge yourself so harshly. Most people tend to be their own worst enemies and I think that’s true for you.
I think you may also allow your thoughts to be influenced by others. Whether or not what they say is true, the way you internalize what they say poisons and disempowers you.
I’m not saying that you’ll never be wrong, but how harsh your judgment of yourself is detrimental to your happiness and your success. It also feeds into a need to be perfect.
Instead, learn to set goals that you work toward. If you fail, consider it a learning experience instead of a testament to why you’re worthless. You’re not worthless, even if you’re not the best.
As you live and grow you’ll reach heights you never could imagine. Because right now you’re not even daring to imagine how great you could be!
Fight for Your Mind
The final card in your spread is the Nine of Swords. This is a card of anxiety, mental distress, and nightmares. For some of you, this is a sign that you need to work through mental illness.
Sometimes you can do this with self-improvement practices. After all, the reason some people are depressed is because their life is depressing. If you seek to improve your life, your mental illness will fall away.
But sometimes your mental distress is very serious and you need extra help. Medication can help regulate you a lot quicker than lifestyle changes would (though you will still need to make these). And if medication is not the answer, seeking the compassion of someone you trust or a therapist can go a long way.
However, not everyone who picked this spread is so distressed that they need medical intervention. For some of you, this card references not having a positive vision for yourself. You need to create an optimistic goal for your future.
Putting aside the spiritual elements of the Law of Attraction, it’s going to help you develop an internal locus of control and help you take back your life. Start using it and believing it. It will create a psychological transformation in your mind.

Pile 3: Obsidian
Learn to Identify and Accept Value Decisions
Ascending your throne will require you to make a decision. The first card in your spread, Two of Swords, indicates that you’re either dealing with this right now or you will soon. It’s not going to be easy for you to make this decision and I think knowing the difference between logical and value decisions is important.
Logical decisions are those with obviously right answers. It shouldn’t even be a question as to which is right because it’s quite clear: don’t cheat, don’t steal, don’t murder. And sometimes logical decisions have facts behind them: Mercury is a planet, cats are mammals, and basketball is a sport.
But value decisions are personal. There’s no clear answer because preference and individuality is the determining factor: what is the best color for you to wear, what career should you have, and who to marry.
These value decisions seem like there are rational answers, but that’s not the case. Let’s use a marriage example to illustrate this: you have a choice between a rich and kind spouse OR a poor and intelligent spouse.
Both are good options for different reasons. Not everyone who picked this pile would share the same value judgment here and that’s the point.
Embrace Your Values
The next card is the Knight of Swords. This can be an impulsive card but in a good way. There’s passionate energy here, but it’s grounded in a decent intellectual framework.
Once you make your value decision you should stick to it. Why? Because you made this value decision not based on logic, but based on principles.
And principles are something that you can be passionately devoted towards. The life and values you uphold should be what you want to see bloom in the world.
I majored in creative writing and I was often annoyed by my peers who cried and agonized over things like climate change as if it was the most important thing in their lives. If they really cared about climate change as much as they said they did… they wouldn’t have majored in writing poetry and then only wrote poems about their relationships. They would’ve studied science.
You’ll have many values in your life, but some values are going to matter to you more than others. And you should live according to that hierarchy. Otherwise, you’re going to feel weird about the decisions and fixations in life because you’ll feel powerless in your relationship with them.
You’re Going to Be Free
This may sound strange to you, but by committing to something, you’re going to be liberated. The third card in your spread is the Eight of Swords, Reversed. This is about the restrictions in your life falling away.
If you’re living a life according to your values, things are going to get easier on a spiritual level. The obstacles you encounter will be overcome because you’ll want to move Heaven and Earth to do so.
Know that when you make firm decisions in your life, you’ll be on a clear path. Many of the shadows you’re currently under will be illuminated by your eagerness to succeed. And that’s when you’ll ascend your throne.
