Raise Your Value: Tarot Pick a Card
We all face a moment in our lives when we feel as if we’re not as worthy as we could be. Know that you have an intrinsic worth that can’t be taken away. However, the universe thinks you could use some help boosting your personal value in your own eyes.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. Which animal stands out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Muse Tarot and the Universe Has Your Back Oracle decks (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out how to raise your value.
Pile 1: Penguin
You Aren’t Broken Forever
When I shuffled your cards, you received two oracle cards which was different from the other spreads and against my plans, so these dual meanings were deemed especially important by the universe. The first of these cards has this wisdom message: My faith has the power to turn trauma into healing, conflict into growth, and fear into love.
Life can be hard, and it seems like you’ve had some particular challenges of your own. These challenges have caused you to question your self-worth in some way and you wish it could be different.
It can.
See how this card features a beautiful tree with deep roots? The tree is also under a crescent and full moon and thus shows the progression of time. I believe that the universe thinks you can raise your value by directly confronting what gives you anxiety and seeing it. However, this requires planting seeds that you water.
There’s a saying in English that goes like this: “the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now.”
No matter how deep and long ago this pain was, know that you can plant little seeds of self-care (or therapy) that will grow into healing over time. It’s never too late to heal.
Difficulties Are Personal Quests
The next oracle card has this wisdom message: I find deeper meaning and personal growth amid discomfort. While I hope nobody has to suffer to find success, dealing with challenges can expand the horizons of what you’re capable of.
That’s because you work on your tolerance for difficulty. Whatever was the most difficult thing in your life… you can transfer that level of difficulty into tolerance in a new area. A good example is this: an unprepared person has a humiliating breakdown during a presentation. Now they know that they need to be careful at work.
Most people don’t know their limits and never test them. But when you do know your limits, however small those boundaries may be, you can test them and start pushing them out. And this can give you purpose in a drive to make your life better than it is right now.
Be Fair to Yourself
Your last card is a tarot one: Temperance, Reversed. The universe is calling you to be a bit… “unreasonable” and even a little chaotic. You’ve been living by the book too much lately and need to let yourself go.
I think you’ve had too many unfair expectations of yourself and they need to fade away. It’s good to have standards, but you shouldn’t have impossible standards.
Perhaps these expectations would never be reasonable… or perhaps they’re temporarily unreasonable until you learn or do what you need to push your boundaries further out. All I know is that you need to permit yourself to not be perfect all the time.
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. There’s no growth from perfect. And your value will be raised through growth.

Pile 2: Yorkie
Your Heart Is Hurting
Your first card has the wisdom message of I let go of the shadow of the past by seeing someone for the first time with the eyes of love. It’s not always easy to love other people. People have frustrating flaws. But love doesn’t always mean complete acceptance. It means compassion.
There’s somebody in your life, past or present, who you’ve developed negative feelings for. These negative feelings have become poison – and not just to them, but to you as well.
When you’re filled with negativity, it will consume you.
For those who chose this pile, it may refer to someone in your past that you’re no longer in contact with. Your negative feelings for them as so strong that you still think about them even though it doesn’t help you at all. You may even stalk this person on social media.
However, there are those who chose this pile for whom this refers to someone in your present. You can feel your relationship breaking or it’s already past the point of recovery. The negativity is like a fresh wound.
That needs to change. You can’t keep living with this hate in your heart because it’s making you feel like you’re less worthy of a person.
The Time Is Now
The next card in your spread is the Seven of Emotions, Reversed. It’s a lot more obvious how you should act than you think. In the past, your emotions were so raw that there was chaos everywhere around you – perhaps there even was chaos (these negative feelings for this person didn’t come out of nowhere, after all).
But things are starting to settle down. For those dealing with a relationship far in the past, the universe is telling you to move on. Perhaps this person has grown. Perhaps they haven’t. But you have. All you really want now is the best for everyone. That’s compassion, not hatred, speaking.
Those with more recent wounds may realize how necessary it is for you to distance yourself from this person or reach out lovingly. You can’t let your emotions get the better of you because it’s going to create major ups and down.
Ask yourself what would be the most compassionate thing you can do for the both of you. That’s your only option. I like to describe it like this: you’re either going to save the relationship or you’re going to save the breakup (romantic or platonic). Never wait for the last moment for it to blow up in your face instead.
Hope the Best for People
Your final card is The Hierophant. I sense that it’s going to be difficult for you to accept a heart of compassion toward this other person. You may feel that it’s unfair. See how this woman has her back turned away from the person in the back? That’s emotional distance.
But this compassion isn’t just for the other person: to love is a personal choice not to wish the worst on another human being. And it’s also optimism for the future.
Your decision to dwell on negativity is warping your faith in other relationships. When you put so much energy into hate, you begin to question if it’s possible to receive love. You may even blame yourself for things you’re not responsible for.
Love abundantly because it will light up your world.

Pile 3: Rabbit
Your Dreams Are Justified
I see that your first card has the wisdom message of When I’m in alignment with the love of the universe, peace cannot be disrupted. For you to raise your value means seeing your higher purpose as justified by the universe.
People are multi-faceted and have different things to offer. Don’t judge how small or little your dreams are, but whether or not they create abundance. As long as your higher purpose expands the universe, you’ll be in alignment. But if your higher purpose is one that only takes and victimizes, it doesn’t work.
I’m guessing you aren’t a psychopath and your higher purpose is more loving than you think. If it’s not, there are usually ways you can modify it. For example, let’s say your goal is to be rich. Okay – that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Stealing money is, but if you become a doctor or an artist, you’re not hurting people. You’re doing something that other people need and want.
Once you have your higher purpose in alignment with the universe, and you recognize that it is, you’ll feel more comfortable and justified in pursuing it. You won’t fight the universe and there will be less friction. Just because you benefit from your higher purpose doesn’t make you selfish and it invalid.
Nurturing Your Unique Path
The next card is The Empress. You need to nurture your dreams and truly cherish them as if they were children that you love.
And just like children, it will take time to raise those dreams properly. As you pursue your higher purpose, please be conscious of the fact that it will grow and bloom in different (but delightful) ways than you expected.
You are like The Empress, the sovereign of that life path. But this feminine authoritative energy is not that of a dictator or even a ruler with direct control. You influence that higher purpose instead.
In essence, you’re co-creating that dream with the universe. You have desires, and the universe gives you the tools to make them happen. The fact that you mold that dream means it’s not just an achievement, but something that is born from you alone.
That’s why you have such value: your higher purpose can only be yours in the eventual form it takes. The universe provides the tools, but you’re the artist.
This Is Your Life Quest
The final card in your spread is The Chariot. This is a strong, go-getter card. I’m particularly drawn to the way the woman appears to be guiding multiple horses and not just a single chariot (like in many tarot decks).
You have such value and you will raise it even further because there are so many opportunities for you to pursue in this life. Dare to have even more than one higher purpose. There’s so much for you to do and experience.
Also note how the woman in this card and the woman in the last appear to have light emanating from their bellies. I see this as the gut instinct (and womb of possibility). Trust the feeling in the pit of your stomach that you’re meant to do something – because you probably are!
