Where You Need to Go: Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! This tarot reading is designed to help place you where you need to go.
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which illustration inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the True Heart Intuitive Tarot deck (this is an affiliate link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out where you need to go.
Pile 1: Owl
Stay Close By in Comfort
Your first card is the Ten of Cups card. This is one of domestic bliss. From this spread, I got the overwhelming sense that you need to go on a staycation.
This is different from a day off work. A staycation should emulate a real vacation but from the comfort of your home.
You need to bring in the luxuries and relaxation of a vacation to you. So mark off a few days without any responsibilities and splurge.
Order food to be delivered, rent a movie, et cetera. You’ll also want to skip as many household chores as possible. If you can afford it, consider hiring a maid service for a one-time cleaning.
That’s what I’m talking about here: making your home a luxurious experience so you can enjoy the comforts without the responsibilities.
The reason you need to go home is that you don’t associate comfort with your home as much as you should. Perhaps you have too high expectations of yourself or you’re letting your life anxieties overwhelm you.
For those who have a stressful home life and can’t imagine bringing a staycation into being, it could be a sign that you should splurge on a nearby hotel or touristy location you wouldn’t normally associate with a vacation and make something close by a luxurious experience.
Order room service and go to a nice restaurant. If you’re not paying for gas money or travel tickets, you can spend a lot more than you think.
A few of you may want to return to a hometown or visit family. But overall, domestic, homey energy is what’s indicated here.
Skip Hospitality
Queen of Wands, Reversed is your second card. This is a social card, but as a reversal, I’m getting strong introverted energy. This is another reason why I sensed a “staycation.” You need to pick something here you don’t have to go out of your way to enjoy it.
This does mean staying home and not traveling, but it also suggests not taking on the responsibility of a dinner party. Many people have organized a staycation and invited friends or family over. This forced them to entertain and led to a lot of chores.
I don’t want you to make your staycation into something where you’re trying to impress or cater to someone else (including your family!). You need a hands-off approach and let others step in wherever possible. That’s why I suggested ordering delivery or hiring a maid.
Alternatively, you can have staycations for each member of your household where the others take on household responsibilities as a budget option.
It’s not a vacation if you’re working. Housework is work. Entertaining is work. Hospitality is work. Dressing up is work.
You need ultimate relaxation. If that means staying in your pajamas all weekend, then do it!
Bring Luxury Home
Your last card is The Moon, Reversed. I picked up two meanings. The first is that nothing you do should be a mystery. Don’t try to reinvent the staycation. It’s okay to do normal, uncreative things as long as it would relax you.
Also, this is about upending routines. Don’t do the same thing during your vacation that you would do during the weekend. Do you watch television in the mornings? Don’t. It’s not going to feel like a vacation if you do the same thing. Even if it’s the same relaxing thing.
But don’t re-invent the wheel either. What would be the luxurious equivalent of watching television in the mornings? Renting a movie. What about a homemade breakfast? Delivery. What about walking the dog? Playing a game in the backyard instead.

Pile 2: Duck
Change Your World
I didn’t expect a spread to go here, but the overall feeling I get from your spread is that of a mystical experience.
The first card is the Nine of Discs, Reversed. This is about leaving your hobbies and self-imposed isolation. When paired with the second card, Queen of Discs, Reversed, I got the distinct impression of rejecting the material world.
This is where the last card, The Magician comes into play. Its motto is “As above, so below.”
The place that you need to go to is a mystic one. You need to travel into the spiritual realm and bring something back to the “below” that will be with you.
What does this mean? Consider something like astral projection or a past-life regression. You need a mystical experience that will fundamentally change how you perceive the universe.
You Need an Experience
Whatever mystical experience you try, it needs to be something that you participate in actively. And ideally, it should be something different from your norm.
A tarot reading doesn’t work because it’s a fairly material experience. Nor would an astrology reading (there’s nothing mystical about it from your experience even if it has spiritual qualities). But a past-life regression led by an expert? A reiki healing session? That’s what’s indicated in your spread.
This is something I want you to explore yourself. Take some time to think and plan for it. It should feel like a big deal to you and a special moment in your life. Really invest effort into finding the experience and then acting on it.
For some of you, this will cost money (past-life regressions are pricey), but it can be free. Astral projection is normally free. However, you can be creative here.
I can imagine someone ghost-hunting a haunted location or going into the wilderness to experience the natural sacred. Let your imagination run wild.
Have It On Your Own Terms
It’s difficult for me to narrow in on a good suggestion here because I sense so much different energy in this pile. However, I want to discuss what The Magician card will mean after you decide on your experience and act it out.
This is a tarot card of having everything you need in front of you. You don’t have that right now. The reason you need to go and have this special mystical experience is that you’ll learn something in the process and it’s going to add a new tool to your spiritual kit.
For some who chose this pile, the experience may be one you’ll repeat, but for others, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime event.
You’ll know if it worked because you’ll feel an intense level-up in your spiritual awakening. It’ll be a pretty big shift.
Ask yourself where you feel drawn to even though it’s not currently part of your spiritual practice. That’s a sign the universe is nudging you to go somewhere necessary for your spiritual awakening. Allow yourself to start listening to that suggestion.
Of course, not all experiences people have in this pile will be bunnies and roses. I just know one of you is going to meet your twin flame and burn together while another will do a past-life regression and recover a painful past-life memory.
Know that whether the experience is fun or challenging, it’s meant to be because it’ll help you grow. You’re already being pulled in that direction. The question is if you want to confront it head-on and on your own terms or prefer to wait and be at the mercy of fate.

Pile 3: Mummy
Seek a Novel Path
Your spread is about travel – specifically an adventure. The first card, Princess of Wands, is about venturing into the unknown and living on inspiration. This is the card of a dreamer, not a daytripper or someone who goes to a nearby tourist trap.
Think big or think lifestyle. This is a sign that you need to go on a traditional, international vacation (or if you’re in a large country like the United States or Brazil, to the other side of the country).
Is there a particular monument or experience you’ve always wanted to try? Perhaps visiting the pyramids, taking a cruise, or climbing a mountain?
Some who chose this pile may also find themselves drawn to a more nomadic lifestyle. Perhaps you choose the van life or that of a digital nomad. A few may even want to be expats.
You’re not going to be satisfied unless you go on an adventure. Your soul is calling you on a journey because it yearns for the lessons and excitement it provides. You want to live an amazing story.
Invest Yourself
The second card in your spread is the Seven of Discs. This is a card of investment or planting seeds. I see two possible things happening.
For some, the big adventure you dream of going on isn’t something you can afford right now or is something that requires a lot of preparation. The good news is that one of the things that increase the happiness of a vacation is anticipation and planning.
That means you can get a lot of joy from saving up, preparing, and planning a big vacation.
The other thing is that, for some of you, this indicates multiple adventures. You may not be satisfied with one major vacation and you should consider budgeting to make travel a lifestyle commitment.
Travel can be very expensive, but you can reduce the cost with frugal accommodations or by doing work stays. These let you volunteer your services in exchange for room and board and at something like a farm or chateau in another country. On the weekends you then explore the destination! Cool, right?
You can also pick a particular region or country and then learn the local language and culture. You can then use this knowledge to help you travel away from foreign tourist hotspots and to the jewels the locals like best. It also tends to be cheaper!
Don’t Put Your Plans in Stone
Two of Swords, Reversed is your last card and it’s about not being able to make a decision. Deep down, there are multiple adventures you want to go on or there are many different experiences you would like to enjoy.
For example, a vacation to Egypt isn’t all about the pyramids. It’s a very large country with so many ancient sites and modern destinations.
Don’t narrow your focus prematurely. Be open to the idea of fate or serendipity playing a role. When you go on your trips, try not to live by an itinerary and permit yourself to try things you didn’t initially plan for.
There’s always so much more to a location than you read about on tourist websites.
A really funny example of the disconnect between tourism and actual vacations is people who visit the United States expecting to go to New York and Los Angeles on the same day. But the country is very large and it’s impossible to see the best sights in one trip!
That’s true of any destination even in a city-state like Singapore. So allow yourself to be inspired by wanderlust when you finally get there.
