Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s see where you belong in the world.
Pile 1: Hedgehog

Go Small
You’re meant to be in a smaller, more intimate community. The first card, Seven of Swords, Reversed, indicates a lack of pretense or social expectation. So a small town, but not one with rigid and difficult rules.
This can be hard to find in some cultures where small towns usually mean a narrower view. If that’s the case in your culture or the culture you would like to live in, consider a small town on the edge of a bigger city. That’s a good compromise.
I also find that more developed countries tend to have more progressive small towns. I don’t mean this politically, but in terms of joy in the success of your neighbors. This usually results in an optimism of personal advancement because there are some healthy economic indicators and steady employment.
A small town that’s hollowing out to a ghost town is not meant for you.
For the Fun of It
Another aspect you should consider is the radiance we see in The Sun card. This can mean two things. The most obvious is a sunny place like a beach town, the desert, the Mediterranean, or someplace tropical.
But it can also mean general creativity or a healthy festive atmosphere. A small town that immediately comes to mind is Sedona, Arizona. However, there is probably an equivalent small town closer to home that has the same vibe.
What you need to be looking for is a community that is in love with life itself. They have interests and share those interests with their community (and sometimes the whole world).
I think this also says something about you, too. Perhaps you enjoy this cheerful, festive atmosphere and would like it to be accessible without having to live in a major metropolitan area.
Such small towns tend to support local businesses, workshops, and other organizations that you might want to be a part of.
Bigger cities can have bigger names, but it comes at the cost of affordability and approachability. In a small town, you might get to meet, work, or even live with great minds.
Look For the Helpers
The last card in your spread is the Five of Pentacles, Reversed, which is about having community resources. This usually comes from a healthy and vibrant local religious community, but it can be secular.
The point is that you should either live in a small town with strong local social supports or belong to a mini-community within a larger town or city. This community should have a charitable approach and be interested in reducing things like homelessness, hunger, and other quality of life concerns.
But it can extend to other things as well, like a community that organizes community events like local runs, things for children, or seniors.
The point is, you should be looking for a small town that is creative and supportive of the people who live within it. They don’t just live there and not interact with each other: they seem to really care for the people that live there.
You may want to feel the security of a village where it seems like you know people when you go out in the community, and they care about you. Perhaps you’ve lived in other communities, small or large, where you felt threatened or alienated and don’t want to repeat that.
Look for those social programs. That’s a sign of a caring community.

Pile 2: Clock

You Want to See the World
I sense that there’s a desire within you to explore the world. The first card is The World. You may have a home base you come back to, but you do have the option of living in an entirely different culture or country. Maybe even multiple places.
There’s some part of you that enjoys novelty and diversity. You may even be comfortable living in a place with a different religion, ethnicity, or style of life.
Just be aware that I’m drawn to the vulnerability of the woman on this card. You may be so interested in exploring the world that you may not take heed of safety concerns. If you aren’t local, you don’t understand how to safely visit or integrate.
Consider researching a place before going and finding a trusted guide or tourist agency before throwing yourself into a potentially dangerous situation.
Where Things Happen
The second card is more specific about the type of place where you would feel best. The Magician is all about making things happen. You can interpret this to mean a religious or spiritual community, like Glastonbury or Bali, but I also see this card as referencing places where things happen.
Thing commercial hubs like New York City or politically important capitals like Tokyo. You want to be where the stories happen and where there’s a lot to do either directly or on the periphery of major movers and shapers in the world.
You might also enjoy an awesome culinary scene. This card is about having all the right ingredients, after all.
But this is one of the reasons why I think you belong in multiple places, at least as a tourist. You like to see the potential of different peoples at the height of their contemporary cultures.
Cities of Heartbreakers
Your final card, Three of Swords, is the most interesting card I’ve pulled today for any spread. Normally this card is a negative, but here, I sense that it means dating.
Whether you’re single or in a relationship, you want to live in a place where love is important. If people are getting their hearts broken on first dates, there’s probably an amazing nightlife and entertainment scene you can enjoy. Think world class restaurants, museums, and other attractions.
If you’re single, then major cities give you the option to meet a lot of different people, especially one who shares more of your interests. If you’re in a relationship, then there’s a lot you can do together.
It’s entirely possible that your spread indicates a normal hometown, and if that’s the case for you, see this spread only as an encouragement to follow your dreams and travel to all the destinations your heart aches for. You’ll enjoy the adventure.

Pile 3: Rabbit

Lost in Translation
I think that right now, you’re not certain where you belong. The first card, Five of Cups, indicates a longing for what you don’t or can’t have. The rest of your spread also suggests feeling stuck.
Some who chose this pile may dream of living in a different place, but that place may not further their goals or desired lifestyle. Think of the person who wants a very specialized job, but doesn’t want to move to a major city to find it.
The fact I’m seeing these cards is a strong sign that you don’t know what you want and could be easily influenced, so the universe is hesitant to give you a specific suggestion. Instead, the goal in this spread is to introspect and figure out what you actually value.
Allow Change
Part of you being stuck is that the Death, Reversed card shows you’re unwilling to change even though you need to.
One thing I want you to consider is that no singular place on Earth is perfect for every stage of your life. A person may choose to live in a singular place and be happy all their life, but it’s not like they couldn’t be happy somewhere else if they chose to leave.
Refusing to change also makes you too stubborn in relationships or in the face of economic changes. Living with others in society requires flexibility.
Consider what really matters to you on a value level. The saying, “Home is where the heart is” should be a guiding sentiment when it comes to where you choose to live.
What qualities and values make a home a place of comfort, safety, and emotional security for you? It may help you to contemplate this for a few days and then write them down. Those standards may be met in more than one type of place and that’ll give you options. Options promote growth.
Prioritize Your Decision
The final card, Queen of Pentacles, Reversed, is failing to balance two worlds, usually work and home. This is a practical card, and it asks you to consider more objective traits of any singular place you plan to live.
For example, someone who lives by themselves and can’t afford a housekeeper shouldn’t buy a large home. It will take 10-20 hours extra to clean each week. Someone who works in hospitality may need to live in a touristy area. Someone with children may forgo the dream job and compromise with a good, but not perfect job if the alternative is sending their children to a worse school.
You should prioritize any place you live according to “must haves” and “would be nice to haves.” Select only from the list of “must haves” and choose from that list those that have the optional traits you would like.
This will prevent you from making a major regret later on and accidentally choosing the more “exciting” place to live instead of the one that actually matches your needs in the moment. The place that you’re best suited for may also change throughout your life, requiring a move. Nobody is happy in a place that doesn’t meet their needs even if it does have some awesome bonuses. Needs first, wants second.
