What You Need to Learn: Tarot Pick a Card
If you were drawn to this tarot reading then there’s something you need to look into to make your life better.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. Which animal stands out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Angel Wisdom Tarot and the Wisdom of the Oracle decks while the animals are from an Acekar Sticker Pack (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase).
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out what you need to learn.
Pile 1: Shark
Time to Energize Yourself
Your first card is Yang which is masculine energy. In Chinese philosophy, this is related to action, order, and light. Although most people lean toward either yin or yang, everyone should have healthy qualities of both to some degree.
It seems like you aren’t using yang energy effectively in your life. You might be very passive, disorganized, or full of darkness. You need more vitality than you currently have.
But how do you do this?
First, you need to ask yourself if you need a lot of yang energy or just a little. And then once you determine the amount needed, you should start asking yourself where this energy will make sense in your life.
I have more yin energy than yang, but I do use yang energy when it comes to my career and when interacting with people who aren’t family members. I’m a naturally reserved person, but I feel better embracing yang qualities in those areas of my life.
You’re likely to find such energy welcome somewhere too. Where do you feel zapped of energy? That’s where your yang is needed.
Embrace Yourself, Not a Role
The next card is Balance with the wisdom message of Blending the ideas of others with your own to create something extraordinary. Successful compromise. The power of diversity. Self-control, patience, and balance.
These days when you hear masculine and feminine you immediately think of stereotypes. If someone doesn’t fit that stereotype then they aren’t a “man” or a “woman” but something else entirely.
When it comes to yang energy you may be tempted to try and fit your expression of that in stereotypical ways or in opposition to yin energy. However, there’s a beautiful blend of both in everything you do.
Putting on a business suit and running to Wall Street may be yang energy… but is it how you want to do it? That’s what I mean by avoiding stereotypes. It’s only a caricature of masculinity.
The way your yang energy will function will be unique and in balance with your life. This is all about learning not how to be yang but embracing the correct level of yang that you resonate with.
Things Will Move Fast
The final card is the Knight of Swords with the wisdom message of Decisive, focused, driven, defensive. Events that move with great speed! Choose intellectual responses to challenges rather than emotional. Sudden or unexpected changes. Review your options carefully.
Yang energy moves quickly and you may find this overwhelming at first. It’s almost rather minimalist and targeted. When you start learning how to use your yang energy you’re going to be shocked by how effective and “get it done” things become.
In some areas of your life this will be very welcome, but make sure you aren’t using yang in the areas of life where yin would work best. But you’re bound to make mistakes, so review actions you take that didn’t work out as expected and ask yourself if you had the right energy at the time.
This self-reflection will help you meet the yin/yang balance you need.

Pile 2: Dog
Learning to Dream
There are a lot of illusions around you right now. This is both a good and a bad thing and the difference between the two may not even be related, but may be the reason you aren’t utilizing an inherent talent you have.
Your first card, Imagine, indicates a need to use your capacity for vision. You have a wonderful mind and your thoughts deserved to be manifested in the world.
However, I think you’re uneasy about realizing your imagination. You may think that your dreams are unrealistic or even hurtful to you in some way.
But this is your lack of confidence talking and it’s because of the Five of Swords card which has the wisdom message of An unwise choice. There’s a better way that will make you happier. Avoid people who lack integrity or who have questionable motives.
This is a card of win and loss and it seems like you’ve been on the losing side too many times in life.
You’re Secretly Powerful
When people feel defeated they lose confidence in themselves and their vision. This has happened to you in life and one or more of your dreams is simply an illusion. But the origin of this lack of confidence is also an illusion: the loss you felt was undeserved in some way.
What does this mean though? For you, learning to dream and using your imagination won’t be easy, but it will fill you with gradually more happiness than you have now.
But this does require you to push out the nightmares in your life. Not all dreams are pleasant and it seems like some of your dreams are causing you sorrow. These are probably people, memories of people, habits, or things you’re tied to (such as a bad job) that are filling you with terrible dreams.
These dreams may be literal dreams, may be goals you don’t really care for, or may be thoughts and daydreams that consume your waking thoughts.
But that’s the point. To some degree, your real world and your imagined world have converged. The good news is that you can use this convergence to your advantage: instead of living in a waking nightmare, you can live a life of manifestation.
Dreams Do Come True
The last card I want to talk about is the Ace of Wands which has the wisdom message of An amazing opportunity! Be bold, courageous, and optimistic. Now is the time to take action. Do what you’re passionate about.
It seems like you need to do some work to push yourself ahead, but the universe is going to provide an opportunity to give you the motivation and curiosity to be brave. Despite the losses you’ve faced in life you’re going to find yourself face-to-face with the possibility of success. This is going to fill you with the desire to take the risk and fight for it.
This could come with a literal opportunistic event or it could come in a sudden fit of internal passion. Whichever one comes your way, don’t waste the motivation you feel! This is a sign from the universe that you have a very good chance of succeeding.
That doesn’t mean it will be easy, but with perseverance, you will not only learn to imagine… but that some dreams do in fact come true!

Pile 3: Chick
What Happiness Really Is
I see that your first card is Happy, Happy. What you need to learn is happiness. But what is happiness? It’s divided into two categories and you need both.
The first is life fulfillment. Some people who have really hard lives have this in abundance (think about a struggling single parent who will do anything for their child). They know that their life has meaning or is in alignment with their values. Happiness requires you to have this to some degree in your life.
What is it you dream of for yourself? This may be a particular life path or accomplishment. Perhaps you already have fulfillment and just need to recognize that is what makes you fulfilled.
But the other half of this equation is joy. Joy is the moments of happiness you experience when you see something funny, when you’re doing something enjoyable, or when you’re with someone you love. This is just as necessary as fulfillment but such moments are necessarily fleeting.
However, a life with these moments in abundance helps regulate your emotional state and it’s something you need to try and frame your life around. It’s not enough for your life to be meaningful. You need your life to have frivolity and fun too!
Sorrow Is Not Permanent
Let’s get to the bottom of your unhappiness, though. Your second card is the Nine of Swords and this is a card of anxiety. The wisdom message here is Unfounded fear. Expecting the worst, thus creating self-fulfilling prophecies. Allowing worry to grow out of proportion to the situation. Sleepless nights. Refocus your thoughts!
Did you know that amputees are really unhappy after losing their limbs? Of course you knew this! But did you know that their baseline level of unhappiness eventually returns to pre-amputation levels?
The same is true for lottery winners.
This is important for you to know and understand how life fulfillment and joy work. Just because you solve one half of the equation doesn’t mean the other is unnecessary: your hedonic treadmill eventually resets and this is why it’s important not to measure happiness as trophies you earn.
But the reverse is also true. You can’t collect your anxieties like trophies either. No matter how anxious something may make you, it’s possible to reset your slate entirely.
That means whatever ails you in life is something you can mitigate through life fulfillment and joyful actions. Yes, that means even if you fail to avoid the bad you can still find happiness.
The point behind what I’m saying is not that you will always face something unfortunate, but that even if you do happiness is still obtainable.
So when something bad does happen, what you need to learn is that there’s always a way to be happy again. Always.
Life Traveller
The third card is Six of Swords with the wisdom message of The end of challenging times. Things are looking up! A welcome relief. Finding your way to a peaceful place. The end of a depression or illness. Travel or relocation.
Whatever difficulties you’re facing right now or whatever you’re worried about are going to be resolved. Yes, you’re going to feel happy again anyway, but the universe wants you to personally know that the problem itself is going to be resolved.
This is the universe’s way of confirming that your life is one of movement. Nothing about your life is static and you’re never stuck in place. There’s always more to this adventure.
