Manifest Your Inner Calling — Tarot Pick a Card
Is there something deep within you that you’ve always felt called to do? It may or may not be your highest purpose, but it is a dream you wish to manifest. Perhaps it’s even very personal and not for the good of others. That’s okay. This tarot pick a card reading from the universe will help you do get what you want.
To receive your message from the universe, pick one of the piles above using your intuition.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
For this reading, I’ve used the Wild Unknown Archetypes Oracle deck. This is an affiliate link, and it helps support me if you love the deck and want to buy it for yourself too.
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to manifest your inner calling.
Pile 1: Star

What You Really Want
I see a lot of imagination and adventure in this spread. The first card, The Vision, tells me that your inner calling is a strong picture in your mind.
Some who chose this pile may be afraid to admit that’s what they want, but your dream is clear, and it also seems like there’s a direct path from ‘a’ to ‘b’ it’s so vivid.
When I see this, it tells me something very important: you have a clear idea of what you want and how it should manifest, perhaps for many years. That means you aren’t hoping it’s going to occur somewhat like you want. No, you want that manifestation to be as exact as possible. It matters that much to you.
Daydream Like a Child
The good news is that this desire makes it a lot easier to manifest because you won’t be confused. What you need to do instead is trust your desire and want it without reservation, sort of like the second card which is The Eternal Child.
Children are natural manifestors. They have fantasies, but they also have a clear idea that their dreams are possible. Their hope and optimism are unmatched.
It’s not unusual for a child to want something and then it manifest. That’s because their desires are simple and straightforward: they want that gift or that special experience. They don’t get sidetracked by impossibilities or improbabilities.
As long as it doesn’t break the law of physics, there’s a good chance they’ll get what they want in some form eventually.
Try playing with your vision in your mind. Really immerse yourself in that daydream. You may also want to check out my article on how to avoid letting your daydream turn negative like so many adults do with this article.
Have Fun Along the Way
Your final card, The Thread, is where I see adventure. You have an outcome in mind that you want, but some part of you desires an exciting narrative to go with it. You can manifest the outcome without tribulation along the way, but I think you want some exciting chapters to live through first.
In your daydreaming, consider the steps that would take you there which would be exhilarating. Someone who wants to write a book might imagine a period of time where they have an intense brainstorm session, a thrilling outline process, and then later on having an emotionally powerful partnership with their editor.
Try not to imagine disasters along the way, but happy quests. Children like happy quests and you should incorporate that into your daydreaming to help you better manifest by attracting that energy through your visualizations.

Pile 2: Cat

Discovering the Truth
You have a desire to manifest something of emotional intensity. The first card, The Cave, shows that you need to venture to mysterious places either in your mind or reality. I think you like a challenge because it makes the reward rare and significant.
I also thought of the allegory of Plato’s Cave. This is the idea that people are stuck in a metaphorical cave where they only see the shadows of things on the wall. Someone who ventures out of the cave and sees the real thing can carry back the truth.
I see you taking that role. Your desire for emotional intensity is about seeing past the superficial and discovering what’s really there. If you desire to manifest a relationship, you want a relationship that is soul true. If you want to manifest another desire, you want it to be passionately experienced to the fullest.
Why You’re Amazing
The first card is echoed in the second, which is The Shadow, but I see this as yourself. I recently saw a tarot reader describe the Queens of Wands cat as the shadow that exists because of her radiance.
Your shadow is always a part of you, and it needs to be integrated… but it exists because of your good qualities. That means it isn’t something simply to be survived, but proof of what makes you essentially awesome.
Try this exercise: identify something about yourself that bothers you. For me, I have strong opinions. As a kid, I would passionately get into debates online where I would write thousands of words in response with sources.
This really used to bother me because it was like I could never shut up and needed to be right all the time. I started doing this at eleven. However, this was actually early proof of my desire to communicate, write, and help others. It just wasn’t refined.
Your shadow may or may not be refined right now, but it reveals your strength. It’s the shadow of that strength’s radiance.
Use Your Feelings
With Eros as the last card, there’s an emphasis on love. Specifically, the type of love that’s desire, but also a longing for beauty. I really get a Scorpio sense in your spread and the emotional intensity that comes with that, so if you’re a Scorpio or you’re able to look up your natal chart and the area of life Scorpio covers, that’s relevant.
For everyone else, this card is about understanding having an emotional bond to what you want to manifest. If it’s a person, that’s easy – love them as deeply as you can. Also try physical touch.
But what if it’s not a relationship you’re trying to manifest? Then this card is about romanticizing the approach. I watched a writer’s vlog recently where she discussed making the experience of writing as pleasurable as possible. It wasn’t about efficiency but setting the mood and really immersing herself in the process.
Try that whenever you’re thinking or responding to inspired action from your subconscious towards your inner calling. What would make it more atmospherically enjoyable right now?
Consider someone who wants to manifest being a lawyer, but they haven’t even entered school yet. They might find music playlists or shows about studying to be a lawyer and then immerse themselves in that energy as they visualize their manifestation or use some other law of attraction method.
Don’t suffer for your inner calling. Desire it actively.

Pile 3: Gnome

To Be the First
Your inner calling is somehow unique. The Orphan card is an indication that what you want is entirely original or the type of person you are doesn’t get what you have. Because of that, there’s no model to achieve your inner calling for you to follow.
That’s frustrating because we all try to follow the model of people who have succeeded before us. So you’ve pushed your inner calling down, uncertain of how to proceed.
But you can manifest. The first thing to know is that there’s always a first time for something and someone.
Marie Curie was the first person to win the Nobel Prize in two sciences in a time when women’s options were limited. The Wright Brothers took flight. Lin-Manuel Miranda combined hip-hop to create a groundbreaking musical on the American founding father Alexander Hamilton.
It’s okay to be the first. Let your heart and soul accept that. You will be the model others will follow in the future.
Your Circumstances Aren’t the End
The second card is The Desert, indicating there aren’t a lot of options or resources to manifest your inner calling. But deserts have an oasis, and you’re going to find yours. You don’t need your inner calling to work in a thousand different ways: just one.
Consider your preferences in life and imagine the pathway to what you want. Use whatever resource you have to your advantage. Katherine Johnson was a black woman born in a rural, West Virginia town during racial segregation. But her parents recognized she was a genius and moved across mountains to find educational opportunities for her.
She leaned on the support of her parents that gave her the courage and tenacity to believe in herself despite harsh barriers. Johnson ended up working for NASA and was integral to sending astronauts to the Moon. She bravely dealt with the desert of her birth and her working conditions to force her way into meetings she wouldn’t have been allowed in at the time.
Your spread also indicates you have barriers to your success. Yet, like Katherine, there’s something about you that makes you different in a good way. It’s going to open the door. Lean into that like Katherine leaned into her courage.
The Kernal of Truth Within
What you need to do is look within. Your final card, The Womb, is a sign that your oasis is within yourself. That may be hard to believe sometimes, but you’re looking out into the world for help manifesting your inner calling and that just isn’t the answer. Johnson was a genius, and she had the support of her parents growing up, but it was the courage within her that pushed her to success.
Because you’re so original, you’re the only person who has the expertise to manifest your inner calling. You can get emotional and spiritual support from a higher power, but first you must look within. All the answers are already there.
Where does your mind rest on certain images or ideas? This may be a jumbled mess for you now, but think of it like a jigsaw puzzle. Sit down and write, draw, or create a vision board of every positive thing you think about when it comes to your inner calling.
These are the tiny clues and elements to get what you want. Every part has a small role to play and is part of your toolbox to manifest what you desire.
