Whether you’re settled on your career path or you want to make a change, this tarot reading is all about your curiosity. What will it take to manifest your dream job? That’s what I want to find out for you today, my soul friend.
To receive your message from the universe, pick one of the piles above using your intuition.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
For this reading, I’ve used the Believe In Your Own Magic Oracle deck. This is an affiliate link, and it helps support me if you love the deck and want to buy it for yourself too.
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to manifest that dream job.
Pile 1: Fish

Now Is the Time
I sense that you have a dream job you really care about, but you’ve stopped yourself from pursuing it. You might have had really good reasons at the time, but your spread now indicates the only thing stopping you is your self-confidence.
The first card in your spread, Morning, has the wisdom message of “The world awaits you.” See how the woman is casually and cheerfully greeting the day? There’s a lot of optimism about your chance to succeed in your dream career, even if it’s a “luxury” dream career that only a few people are able to manifest.
But this card is all about beginnings. Something has changed in your life or your world that increases the probability of success.
For example, there are many wannabe pop stars who were unable to get signed on a traditional label. Yet with social media and multiple monetization options, there are now people of all ages and locations able to make a modest income to pursue it full-time.
I see that same energy in your dream job too. There are new ways to achieve it and it’s not too late for you.
Tailor Your Dream
With your second card being Sun with the wisdom message of “Paint the sun back into your sky” that’s a happy sign that your dream job is one that would make you happier than your current one.
Not every dream job is easy or fulfilling. Many actors reach the pinnacle of success and realize that what they wanted all along was a family while others focused on family and were disappointed they didn’t make the most of their dreams.
You shouldn’t see your life as a zero sum game where one option closes the door on another. Manifesting your dream job is accepting that a form of that dream job will make you happy. It may morph and change to fit your life circumstances better, but it’s meant for you if you should to pursue it.
This Is Your Moment
A lot of people wait for permission to pursue their dream job. The final card in your spread, Gold, has the wisdom message of “You don’t need someone else to fix you.” This card features the Japanese art of kintsugi. This is where a shattered ceramic is fixed with gold glue, making it more beautiful and unique than it was before.
You may feel that delaying your dreams means you can’t pursue them to their fullest now. But the reality is that your particular set of skills and life circumstances make you a more compelling person for that path. It gives you a unique perspective.
Martha Stewart was a stockbroker and model. She didn’t start her catering business which would launch her empire until her thirties. So it’s also entirely possible to not even get started until later in life. Don’t assume now is not the right time.

Accept Personalization
The reason you haven’t been able to manifest your dream job is that you care too much about what other people think. You should care some, but the extent to which other people’s thoughts influence you is smothering to your potential.
The first card in your spread is Expectations with the wisdom message of “Don’t seek anyone’s approval.” Here I’m really drawn to the spiritual beings and how the woman is smelling a rose and ignoring them.
You may be misinterpreting signs, divination, and the advice you’ve been given by real people and spirits. For example, someone may look at their astrology chart and see that their tenth house is in Virgo, so they assume they need to be in a service or analytical role.
Instead, they should be seeing that they have this as a skill and pair it with their personal interests gained during their lifetime. This person might love perfumes and use their attention to detail to craft the best scents.
Pay attention to your interests and preferences. It personalizes advice into something that’s actionable to you.
Be the Real You
When I looked at the second card, I couldn’t help but think of the character Penelope Featherington from Bridgerton. While I don’t like the show and prefer the books, this card is a dead ringer for the tv portrayal. That character has a secret life no one else knows about, but it’s where she’s able to be truly herself.
The card reads Flower with the wisdom message of “Be honest with yourself.” You have a secret life. It may not be as manifested as Penelope’s in Bridgerton, but it’s who you really are and is the perfect example of your dream job manifested into the world.
You hide it from other people and even yourself because you don’t think that the you that’s shown to the world is the right person to live out that identity.
But the truth is that your secret life is you and it’s who you want to be. The reason you’re not manifesting your dream job is that you haven’t accepted your true identity. Without that, the job can’t fully manifest.
Act the Part
One of the best ways to step into that identity is to roleplay. The final card in your spread, Homeward, has the wisdom message of “Take yourself out on a date.” I find this card interesting because of its contrasting themes.
Go out into the world or even create an online profile of your hidden self. Live out that identity as if it’s really you. Dress or talk the part. And then when you go home, don’t take that identity off. You’re walking out the door, roleplaying the identity, and then taking it home with you.
This is a bit like a magical ritual. If you can’t leave the home and need to simulate this privately, have some sort of token that you wear or keep with you during this roleplay and then keep it on or nearby you when the act stops. This can be a necklace, a piece of paper, or even a special rock. It’s your choice. But the token is a promise to yourself that your real identity has manifested already. So why can’t your dream job eventually manifest too?

Pile 3: Corgi

Don’t Go It Alone
There’s a heavy social element to your spread. The first card, Spaceship, has the wisdom message of “Don’t be afraid to sing.” There’s a saying that you’re the average of the five people you spend time with the most.
You need a tribe related to your dream job. A lot of aspiring novelists find they may be the only person in their real life social circle interested in writing, so joining a writer’s group helps them to normalize their dreams through socialization. That’s what you need.
If you can get a real-life community, great, but if not, an online group on something like Facebook, discord, or even reddit can do a lot of good for you. Just make sure the group is positive. Many a writer have joined a writer’s group only to find that the members aren’t serious and have tall poppy syndrome… meaning any success or growth is met with backlash by other members.
It’s okay that not everyone in your life is interested in your dream job… but you need somebody who is. Find them.
Get Started Now
The second card pairs really well with the first. It reads, Nostalgia with the wisdom message of “Focus on the here and now.” Notice how the woman’s thoughts are focused on her dreams, but she’s actually ignoring the conversation with the woman in front of her.
Your dream state is amazing, but sometimes you live too much in a world of dreams instead of reality. The reason a dream job stays a dream job is that a person doesn’t take inspired action.
You live in the material world and things have to move at a material pace. You can use your dreams to inspire you to act, but staying in the spiritual space means you’re ignoring the body you live in.
Ask yourself what is one thing you can do in the next two weeks to get you closer to your dream job. Someone who wants to be an artist can paint a picture. Someone who wants to be a stock trader can join an online simulator and practice trades.
But you need to do something to live closer to the dream job you want, even if it’s just something a beginner does. You have to start somewhere. Momentum builds from a foundation. A dream job doesn’t manifest overnight.
Be a Little Rude
Because you’re so influenced by social realities, I think you can fall victim to tall poppy syndrome. This is when someone has exceptional qualities and jealous people try to use social leveling to bring them down to the same position as everyone else.
The final card is Bitch-Fire with the wisdom message of “Stand up for yourself.” You need to accept you’re exceptional in at least one dimension and that other people don’t like that. They see any indication that you have potential as a threat to their own sense of self-worth or social unit. That’s their problem.
Some cultures have tall poppy syndrome as a systemic problem, but even cultures like America have subcultures where this is prevalent. In places where tall poppy syndrome exists, family members sometimes still uphold it, but good friends do not.
You need to assert your dreams and your right to pursue your ambitions, but you can’t expect support from those who suffer from tall poppy syndrome. Standing up for yourself doesn’t mean you expect support from those people… but it does mean you aren’t hiding yourself from them.
A dream job can’t manifest if you’re too scared to stand up and be yourself in front of people who feel threatened by your success. Sometimes you need to be a bitch to get what you want. Again it’s their problem they’re unhappy. Not yours.
