Make Your Career Abundant — Tarot Pick a Card
Are you wanting abundance in your career, such as money, reputation, or the feeling of flow? This psychic tarot reading from the universe can help you with that. It also works for any passionate hobby.
Pick one of the piles above using your intuition to find out what you need to know.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now it’s time to make your career abundant.
Pile 1: Cat

Choose to Act
You often hear people tell you to follow your passion, and that’s good advice. But sometimes, it can lead to you doing things in a lazy manner because you see friction or challenge as a sign you’re on the wrong path.
But the Page of Swords is a reminder to bravely charge forward even if you aren’t perfectly prepared or perfectly situated.
Abundance will require you to act instead of ruminating in the perfect plan. Along the way you can adjust your approach.
Feelings Lie to You
The second card, Ace of Cups, Reversed, is a reminder not to lose yourself in your feelings. Gifted artists will sometimes give up because of the difficulty of a particular project or the administrative work required to professionalize their passion.
You need to accept that your career can’t be defined only by positive feelings. There may be entire days or even periods where you feel unhappy or stressed out.
But you may wonder how to tell the difference between a temporary down period or an ill-fitting path. If it’s temporary, then the problems are situational and can improve with a different project, workplace, or client. If it’s a bad fit, then the problems will persist continuously.
Trust Yourself First, Not Others
Not everyone can rely on others to succeed. The Nine of Wands, Reversed is a sign that you’re either meant to work alone, for yourself, or in environments where people don’t support you. Some careers and passions just require it.
That means abundance requires avoiding conflict by working independently or ignoring the toxic social atmosphere. For example, a lot of teachers have difficult students, parents, or administration. But if most of the job is great, it just means they need to ignore this structural social element.
Focus on what you can do and ignore those who try to intervene or distract you.

Pile 2: Dinosaur

Something is Emotionally Wrong
Have you ever felt you were on the wrong path? Your spread indicates your current career either isn’t a match or the way you’re approaching it is wrong if you want success.
The first card, Four of Wands, Reversed, tells me you’re not as happy as you could be. Not every career is meant to make you feel good, but I think you need it in ways others don’t.
Of course, you can’t be happy all of the time and it’s possible the reason there’s an undercurrent of negativity is social. But what I want you to do is ask yourself what your career is supposed to make you feel. Happy? Safe? Rested? It has to be a positive feeling.
You need more than just purpose to persist and put in the effort needed to be abundant.
Look at Your Career Carefully
Everyone has a destiny, but sometimes, we aren’t aligned with that destiny. The Star card is a sign that something about your current career isn’t a match, but you were attracted to it because it shared elements to your destiny.
One of the reasons I initially chose to be a school teacher is that I wanted to help people. But that career ultimately wasn’t a match because I felt, deep in my core, a need to do something spiritual. And that just isn’t a legally viable option in the American school system.
Don’t try to re-invent your career. Instead, ask yourself what is it about this career that works and what doesn’t. You need to look for careers that have only the pros and not the cons.
You Have an Attachment
The Three of Swords card is a sign you need to let go of your current career or the particular job in that career and transfer to something else. It won’t be easy. You have a deep attachment to it and fear change.
However, you will be happier by letting go and making a change, small or big, because then the path to abundance will be a lot clearer than it ever was before.

Pile 3: Bird

Think About More Than Now
You’re making way too many sacrifices in your career. It’s not a bad thing you’re taking risks, but the risks you’re taking aren’t going to lead to abundance.
The first card, Ten of Pentacles, Reversed, indicates a preference for short-term thinking that’s not aligned with your long-term vision. You can change your long-term vision along the way, but you need to have a clear idea beforehand so your current actions reflect your career goals.
For example, someone who wants to be a lawyer can’t spend ten years slaving away in a warehouse as they study law texts to make sure they have the perfect score. It would be better to work fewer years and get an okay score on their application exam. Then they can focus on landing a good internship or working in a less competitive area after graduation.
Know Where Your Money Is Going
The Six of Pentacles, Reversed card indicates either debt or spending on things that don’t match your goals. You may need to do some combination of budgeting and research.
Someone who wants to be an artist may go to art school and focus entirely on having a beautiful portfolio. But they don’t look at the market of what people are buying and can’t become a professional artist upon graduation because no one is interested in their niche. And now they have college debt.
On a smaller scale, imagine the artist who doesn’t charge enough to account for their tools and shipping costs, so they actually lose money on each sale. Why did this do this? Because of short-term thinking. They wanted a sale, any sale, didn’t consider the long-term consequences of not being profitable. Now they can’t afford future supplies for future commissions.
Make Reasonable Choices
The reality is that every career has some risk, and your spread indicates either being an entrepreneur, doing education, or making an important switch to a new job opportunity. The Hanged Man is a card of sacrifice for enlightenment (or fulfillment).
You need to consider making a pros and cons list before any major decision. What is obviously good about that decision? What is going to cost you (in time, money, or effort)?
Only take the plunge if the risk promises a big enough reward. Sometimes you’ll still lose out, but you should feel confident that a good outcome is always more likely… and not something you hope will happen by luck alone.
