How Your Spirituality Is Leveling Up: Tarot Pick a Card
At some point in every person’s life, they’re given an opportunity to level up their spirituality. This is where you dive into your spiritual path and discover how to bring more depth to the experience. With this psychic tarot pick a card, you can find out what that is.
All you have to do is look at the piles of cards above. What colored illustration sticks out to you the most? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading!
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Everyday Tarot and Work Your Light oracle decks (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s figure out how you can level up your spirituality.
Pile 1: Blue
Getting Spiritual
With your first card being Imrama and the wisdom message of “Where are you being called to journey to?” the meaning is obvious: spiritual path. But what is Imrama exactly? It’s a Celtic word that means “journey of the soul.” Specifically about traveling to an ancient or spiritual place.
For some of you, this means getting in touch with your ancestors. You may visit a sacred place or even their place of rest. The point is to commune with what’s sacred to you in a physical place. But this place needs to be special. It can’t even be your normal spiritual refuge.
Not everyone called to a sacred space will be called to their ancestors. You may find yourself at a place of worship or to an ancient site, such as a megalith or mound.
However, a spiritual journey in your case may not be physical. For you, leveling up your spirituality is journeying within your mind. This isn’t merely reading about spirituality or even performing normal rituals. Rather, it’s an intense experience, like a meditation retreat or a special practice.
Opening Secret Doors
The next card in your spread is The High Priestess. Here I’m drawn to the secret elements within this card. In that, I believe your spiritual path is a private one and not one designed according to any strict social routine.
This is all about your subconscious and what you do won’t be as visible to other people. This makes a lot of sense considering the spiritual journey you’re going on. No one can go on this journey for you but yourself. Not even your spirit guides.
Your goal is a simple one: sacred and deep knowledge. Although you may learn how to improve your material life and manifest some of your dreams, the true purpose behind this particular leveling up of your spirituality is a greater awareness of the divine.
You may find the esoteric or other occult practices attractive. But, if you belong to a traditional religion and aren’t interested in those areas, special practices that most people don’t normally do would qualify because of the commitment involved, like certain Catholic prayers.
If you’re unsure, consult someone who is well-practiced in your general spiritual path for advice, but know you’ll ultimately be the one responsible for doing it yourself.
Say Hello to Your Higher Self
The last card in your spread is The Sun, Reversed. I don’t read this card in a negative way here, but rather as the fruit of your spiritual journey not being material. Know that whatever you pursue will be transformative, but only at a spiritual level.
This more introverted approach to spirituality may be disappointing for some, especially if you like to manifest. But see this as a reminder of the necessity of connecting to the universe without any expectations of material reward.
Law of Attraction might help you manifest the job you want, but lucid dreaming will help you see consciousness in a new way.
What you’ll experience is your inner sun shining within your heart and mind. Yes, it’s more private, and yes, many people will never know that you changed, but you will change and you will become a better version of yourself because you’ll be more in tune with your higher self than before. It’s a deep inner knowing and illumination.

Pile 2: Orange
You Aren’t Alone
Your first card here is Soul Family with the wisdom message of “Call in your tribe. You don’t have to do it alone.” Your spread is more negative, but this card helps to provide a solution to frame the reading.
You have a spiritual team. Everyone’s spiritual team is different. Some are small, while others are massive. This spiritual team tends to be made up of a higher power, angels, ancestors, and spirit guides. But they’re all standing behind you like a family so you don’t have to face this life alone.
I get the sense that you’ve had to rely on yourself a lot lately without enough help in the material world. Because of this, you’re becoming more exhausted and your resources are starting to thin. Now is the time to lean on your soul family so you can release some of your burdens.
Ask and You Shall Receive
Your second card is the Four of Pentacles, Reversed. I sense that you don’t feel as secure in your life as you would like to be. Even upright this card is a bit greedy, but as a reversal, it outlines inner insecurity.
Simply put, you feel threatened. This may be a real threat or imagined, but it’s causing you to close yourself off. Some of you who still have people in your life may go in the opposite direction: giving everything you have in a mad attempt so you’ll receive support.
The result is the same: you have a negative relationship with your material resources. It’s not healthy.
But your soul family can help. Their presence can provide comfort when times get hard through prayer or their spiritual energy. But you can also use their support to help manifest too. Simply asking for their guidance is usually enough for them to step in.
Your real family and friends are important, but they don’t have a transcendent connection to your soul. That’s where your soul family is crucial.
Communication Is Key
The third card in your spread is the Knight of Swords, Reversed. Here we see a tendency to be ambitious but impulsive. This can manifest in truly brash and destructive actions, though for some this may be negative thoughts.
Regardless, you’re going to feel very anxious and unprepared. It will seem like your environment is chaotic and you have no control over your future… even for the smallest of things. But you keep trying anyway because you’re not sure you’re going to get any help. Otherwise, your anxieties will drown you.
Your soul family wants you to slow down and take a deep breath. Consider guided meditations on places like YouTube where you meet your spirit guides or other members of your spiritual team to have a conversation. Automatic writing and other types of channeling are also good.
The point is that you figure out a way to have communication with your soul family so they can help ease your racing thoughts. At this point, they might be the only ones who can talk you down.

Pile 3: Green
You Matter to Others
Your first card here is The Age of Light with the wisdom message of “You’ve been training for this for lifetimes.” I see this card here as an indication that you’re a lightworker or you’re being called to channel lightwork in your life. This is a physical manifestation of your spiritual power in everyday life.
Lightworkers are beacons of hope and healing. They’re teachers, artists, and even florists whose presence or creations ease the spirit of others. It can be exhausting work, but it’s necessary for the sanity and future of the world.
Your karmic cycle, this life and past lives, has brought you to a point where your spirituality is leveling up to be a soul leader. It’s a duty to bring light into the world, but also a joy. People who help others gain immense fulfillment in the process.
That said, the word “training” in the wisdom message is good to know. Lightwork has a physical element to it since it’s so focused on everyday life. That means you can’t do it 100% of the time and you need to figure out how to pace yourself and take a break. You’re ready, but don’t let yourself burn out in the process of lightwork.
You See Ahead
I see the next two cards as to how you can help other people and channel your lightwork. How you channel it exactly will differ for everyone in this pile, so be mindful that these next two cards reflect attitudes rather than formats.
The second card is The Wheel of Fortune, Reversed. You’re very intuitive and you’re able to see the future before it happens. That means you can anticipate someone’s future and help them make necessary changes to improve it.
Your goal as a lightworker is to prevent needless suffering and disaster. Because you’re able to perceive that future with your intuition, you’re going to be able to prevent it or at least be there emotionally for someone when something bad does occur.
Be aware that this can be a discouraging gift. Since you see so far ahead, and not everyone takes your advice, you’ll realize before other people do how much they’re going to suffer.
Consider closing yourself off with spiritual protection. Channel your intuition into a particular format (I use tarot) and don’t hone this skill in multiple areas. The more ways you know how to channel your intuition, the more messages you’ll receive. And trust me – you’ll want a break from the spiritual noise sometimes.
Teaching Others to Be Self-Sufficient
The last card in your spread is the Ace of Swords, Reversed. Part of what you’re lightwork is about will be helping others take charge of their life. They’ll be turning a new leaf and seeing a lot of possibilities for how to pursue their path going forward.
This means that may need a lot of guidance, more than someone who is sure of themselves, to make comfortable progress. You may want to build a relationship with these people instead of touching their lives briefly and disappearing. However, your relationship with them shouldn’t be permanent – eventually, they need to become independent.
In that way, you’re a bit like a parent or teacher. Sure, you may be an advisor to touch base with now and again, but the bird needs to leave the nest and fly on their own at some point. Your job is to help them learn to fly and watch them fly off into the sunset.
