Banish This Now: Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today we’re going to find out what you need to banish in your life. This reading has a psychological approach, meaning you’ll be dealing with how you live and perceive the world. Let’s find a way to make that experience a positive one.
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which animal inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Soul’s Journey Lesson Oracle deck (this is an affiliate link that supports me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s banish negativity from your life.
Pile 1: Tiger
Make Soul Choices
Indecision is what you need to banish right now. The wisdom message is “I use my intuition in all aspects of life.” So it seems like the reason you’re not able to be as decisive as you would like is you aren’t checking in at a soul level.
There are many ways to make decisions in life. Some decisions are rational, others are emotional, and some are intuitive.
What this means is that you’re being confronted with options in life that are relevant to your soul purpose or missions here on Earth. However, you’re choosing not to look towards your intuition to help you make that choice.
We see this often with religion. People follow a spiritual path or reject one because of scientific or emotional reasons. This disregards the mystical effect that a spiritual path is supposed to have. And when you don’t make a spiritual choice based on mysticism, you’re not going to enjoy the spiritual activities you do.
The reason you’re not making decisions isn’t that you don’t have enough evidence nor is it a matter of emotional resonance. You need to be in spiritual alignment through mystical experience.
How would this work with life purpose? It’s not enough to make a living or to enjoy what you do – it needs to feel like you’re fulfilling your mission here on Earth.
Take Your Time
However, you need to have Patience. The wisdom message for this card is “I accept that everything happens in divine order.”
You have free will, but the universe also has a plan. That plan is one of love and light. While you can co-create your destiny with the universe, choosing to reject what is good is rejecting the universal plan.
Perhaps you were meant to fall in love in life, but you swore off romance due to a bad relationship. This goes against the universe’s plan because you were meant to experience love. You just had options on who to pursue (and you still do!).
The reason you need patience is that the mystical and the mundane take time to converge. If you try to force things to happen at the expense of hurting yourself or others, things won’t work out the way you’d like them to.
Stop trying to succeed. Work towards being in spiritual alignment instead.
Be True to You
Self-Esteem is your final card with the wisdom message of “I possess gifts of the soul that benefit me and others.” You have natural talents that the universe would like you to pursue.
Perhaps someone is a gifted musician. Does that mean they should become a pop star? It’s an option, but maybe they’d prefer to be an indie producer or they’d like to create parody songs for fun.
Understand that the universe gave you abilities and interests which set you on a path in alignment with the divine plan. But as long as you do something which benefits you and other people, you’re allowed to build yourself up according to your personal preferences.
You’re an individual and you have a say in how you perceive yourself in relation to the universe. It’s okay to have an opinion and manifest that opinion of yourself in the universe (as long as it’s still in spiritual alignment).

Forge a Connection
Loneliness is what you need to banish right now. The wisdom message is “I know that I am never alone.”
Humans are tribal, social creatures. But being part of a tribe and being connected to other people doesn’t mean partying or being in front of a crowd.
It’s about a sincere human connection.
The reason why some people can pursue solitary monasticism isn’t that they hate people. Rather, in the case of Catholic orders, for example, it’s that they’re using their spiritual energy to pray for other people.
I think you struggle with loneliness because you assume that not being alone means being in the presence of other people instead of being intimately connected to those people.
Human connection is about compassion. You need to seek out human connection not to refuel your social battery, but to love others. By loving others, you won’t feel alone. People who only live for themselves are lonely because they aren’t connected to someone through compassion.
Not Easy to Love, But Necessary
The second card in your spread is Discipline with the wisdom message of “I can accomplish what I set my mind to.”
Look, relationships are hard. It’s not something that you control entirely. You’re dependent on the other to participate too.
That’s why caregiving is so powerful a lesson for you to witness. Consider watching animal rescue videos on YouTube to see the immense compassion on display. People fight to save animals, sometimes at great cost to themselves. These animals don’t always understand or even respond to this care (especially if they’re wild animals).
So why do people do it? One thing you’ll notice is that these people allow themselves to love these creatures and it uplifts their souls. They have a discipline for compassion and it changes their entire approach to life going forward. Every rescue is a living testimony of how that person has been changed.
And don’t you want to be around people like that? It’s not bodies we want to be around, but compassion.
Know that banishing loneliness isn’t about creating relationships – it’s about choosing to have compassion. It will raise your soul and I’m willing to bet this will transfigure you in such a way as to attract future relationships in your life.
Cherish the Good You Have
Your final card is Gratitude with the wisdom message of “I am thankful for this life and the opportunities that it presents.”
I read an online discussion recently where a person confessed to breaking up with their girlfriend because she seriously demanded a celebrity hall pass. This is permission from your partner to sleep with a celebrity and it not be considered cheating. However, this is usually just a joke between a couple. The woman didn’t currently have that opportunity to do this, but she wanted to and she wanted her current partner to allow it.
This kind of social expectation of partners shows a lack of gratitude for a human connection that you already have. When you’re in a fulfilling relationship with someone, don’t try to “level up” just because someone is more attractive. This destroys a positive connection because of greed.
It’s not compassionate to betray someone and you certainly wouldn’t consider it loving if someone betrayed you. Gratitude helps you step into spiritual loyalty. Don’t give up what’s already good.

Pile 3: Narwhal
Enjoy the Now
What you need to banish is Death. Or rather, the sense of mortality. The wisdom message here is “I am learning that endings are merely beginnings.”
This life is just a chapter in your soul. It’s also just one part of the universe’s whole story. When you die, some part of you will carry on. You will reincarnate, become a spiritual being, or leave a legacy in the material world.
It’s true that you can’t take the things of this life into the next, but you can leave something behind that will have a permanent effect on the universe or your soul.
But I do want you to appreciate what this current life is. Too often, I see spiritual people and nihilists approach this life with disregard. They think it doesn’t matter because you won’t live forever.
The experiences you have are meaningful though. Both in the moment to you, but also in the ripple effect it has on your soul, the universe, and other people.
You need to banish the idea that there’s a hard stop to your existence. Even if your body dies, something will live on always. And in the meantime, you can enjoy the little things.
Your People Matter
Friendship is the next card with the wisdom message of “I understand that a friend is in my life for a reason.”
Whether you started the relationship or the other person initiated it, every social connection you have was attracted you to serve a purpose. Sometimes that purpose lasts a lifetime (or multiple lifetimes).
Don’t look at these relationships with a casual air. Instead, consider the dignity and consequence they have on you. Your friendship isn’t a temporary, pointless thing. It transforms you in this life and future lives.
You may not always know how, but allow yourself to be changed and moved by the people around you. Let them in, and the spiritual effects will be astronomical.
Also, consider the soul ties that may exist. Most people tend to be connected to certain souls across multiple lifetimes. These people will often reincarnate as friends. The reason you enjoy being around them is that they have been present in past lives too. You just can’t help but be attracted to each other again and again across lifetimes.
Live Abundantly
The final card is Happiness with the wisdom message of “I am aware that being happy means I’m on the right path.”
Now there are psychopaths in the world who get sick pleasure in the sufferings of others or who are willing to hurt people to get what they want. If you’re not that person, then your happiness is usually a sign you’re going in the right direction in life.
Happiness at a spiritual level is composed of two things: immediate joy and fulfillment.
Fulfillment is joy that transcends mortality. It’s deeply satisfying because it’s not based solely on physical things and reflects something higher.
You need both. If one of them is missing, it’s going to make it difficult for you to banish death from your life because you’ll be in a survival mindset.
Know that life can be abundant even if this particular life has a chapter that’ll end. And that feeling of abundance is joy and fulfillment. Work towards that satisfaction.
