December 2023 — Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today we’re going to find out what December 2023 has in store for you. Curious how it will go?
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which image inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Fountain Tarot and the Starseed Oracle decks (these are affiliate links that support me if you happen to make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s find out what December 2023 will be like for you.
Pile 1: Octopus
Themes
This will be a month where your internal and external worlds may conflict. However, you can use this tension to your advantage and make measurable progress in your life.
The first theme card, All Paths Lead Home, has the wisdom message of “Inner authority. Intuition. Turn your gaze within.” This refers to the part of you that will seek introspection this month. That’s not uncalled for at the end of the year and is a normal way to prepare for the next. However, don’t introspect so much that you isolate yourself.
The next theme card, You’re Not Alone, has the wisdom message of “Isolation. Physical connection. Community.” Introspection often leads to rumination or antisocial behavior if you let it run rampant. Make it a point to spend quality time with family and friends at least a few times this month.
Your final theme card, Jump In, has the wisdom message of “Andromedan energy. Adventure. Say yes to change.” When you decide your resolutions for next year, start them early. Don’t wait until January 1st – start them in December. And if it’s something like healthy eating, you can use moderation to still enjoy sweet treats and indulgences during holidays.
Week 1: December 1st to December 10th
You’re likely going to feel some sort of frustration this week. Your first tarot card, Five of Swords, Reversed, suggests you’ll have a minor loss. It’s going to be something you recover from, and relatively easily, but you’ll still feel this as an obstacle to be overcome.
I think you can overcome it during this week or the next, but it’s going to require you to embrace the Jump In energy of your third card. You may also want to ask for help from someone you know. That can be a good way to spend time with others too.
Week 2: December 11th to December 17th
This is going to be a good week. The Page of Wands is a playful, lively energy, so expect to have some fun and feel a bit adventurous. This might be a good time to explore possible resolutions you’ll make for yourself. You don’t need to make a firm decision this week.
I also think this is a good week to come out of your shell. The energy here to have positive social interactions is strong, so if you’re shy or normally quite reserved, don’t turn down opportunities this week: you’ll likely be surprised by how much you enjoy them.
Week 3: December 18th to December 24th
I think you’ll really benefit by doing some minor introspection this week and then acting on that introspection. Your third tarot card, The High Priestess, is about an inner knowing.
Pursue your introspection using guided or time-limited frameworks, such as journals or a once-a-week ritual. Set a goal for your introspection and don’t go into it without a plan. For example, if you’re depressed, don’t introspect on this without a goal like, “Write a journal entry that describes when I feel the most upset around others and why.” There needs to be clear parameters for when to start and stop the introspection.
Week 4: December 25th to December 31st
The last card is King of Cups, Reversed. This negative energy is something I think you can turn around if you push against your desire to isolate yourself.
Set a plan to be with others this week. If you can’t be with someone in person, find an online chat that you can be part of, especially if it’s a busy community where you can get instant responses so it’ll feel like a one-to-one chat.
Start the new year with friends or with people who want to be social with you.

Pile 2: Couple
Themes
There’s intense and POWERFUL energy this month, so be prepared for a wild ride. However, I think this is all working out for your good even if there’s quite a bit of catharsis in the meantime.
Your first theme card, Trust the Timing, has the wisdom message of “Trust the wave you came in on. Time’s not running out.” It’s December, so you may feel as if you don’t have enough time to achieve what you set out for this year. However, you likely have months or even years to keep working on your goals. Focus on quality of effort going forward and not arbitrary deadlines.
The next theme card is You’re Not For Everyone with the wisdom message of “Embrace your weirdness. Face your true north.” Have you ever met someone you didn’t get along with even though there wasn’t anything wrong with them? Now realize you’re the same to other people. Just because you aren’t everybody’s best friend doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. Tastes differ and that’s okay.
The final theme card is I’m Sorry with the wisdom message of “Defenselessness. Righting past wrongs. Uprooting.” There might be some apologies you’re giving and receiving this month. Perhaps from you to you as well. Not all of these apologies will be comfortable, but it will set your world right again and take the weight off your shoulders.
Week 1: December 1st to December 10th
Some burdens this week are going to be released. Your first tarot card, Ten of Wands, Reversed, is about the release of a lot of weight. This is a good thing, though you may find your progress in life temporarily stalled.
That’s because when you let some things go, it can take time to pick up something else. Always remember that we all carry our own burdens, but sometimes you can pick which burdens you want to carry. Make sure the things you carry are what matters to you.
Week 2: December 11th to December 17th
Your second week card is The Tower, Reversed. This is about avoiding something big. It could be a sign that you’re avoiding a misfortune, which could result in you not even realizing what you’re about to avoid.
Don’t focus too much on finding out what this is. Instead, be receptive to spiritual energies this week. That way, if there are intuitive downloads you’re meant to have, you’ll be able to listen to them.
Week 3: December 18th to December 24th
Be prepared to be a little frustrated this week. The Chariot, Reversed indicates that you’ll likely set a goal and struggle to make progress on it. Have compassion for yourself, because you’re likely coming off an intense time in your life. It’s okay to ease into things.
It may be helpful to spend some time brainstorming why you have obstacles on your new path. Is it because you need to learn more or try a different approach? Know that new is often challenging, so don’t expect to be an expert when you’re just getting started.
Week 4: December 25th to December 31st
The last card is Judgment, indicating that you’ll feel recognized in a positive way. Perhaps you’ll receive good karma or a difficult situation will resolve in your favor. You may also be receiving good news.
Consider this positive judgment as a good sign for the next year. As a major arcana card, the effects can linger far beyond this month. Feel confident that your next year will be what you dream it can be.

Pile 3: Elephant
Themes
There’s a bit of turbulence to your spread this month and I think it indicates you’re attracting something into your life. However, there is some resistance either in you or what you’re attracting. It will eventually be resolved, but this month may try your patience.
Your first theme card, You Got the Love, has the wisdom message of “Hadarian energy. Codependency. Boundaries.” This can indicate a few things in the context of the spread so I’ll just provide examples: breakup, new crush, and reconciliation. It’s about relationships changing status.
The next card is Cracked Open with the wisdom message of “Rock bottom. Surrender to the alchemy of life.” Notice this card has two halves becoming one, and in the sequence of the last card, could indicate that whatever happens in your relationships this month will result in something better in the next.
The final theme card is Wait with the wisdom message of “It’s not yet time. Things are being woven.” I got a very specific intuitive download that one of you is waiting for a proposal this month, but it won’t happen. Don’t break up because you don’t get your proposal. Something is delaying it for a good reason. For everyone else, know that the full revelation of this month won’t be understood for some time.
Week 1: December 1st to December 10th
With The Devil, Reversed card in your spread, this is a good sign. We saw mention of codependency in a previous card, so this one being about overcoming bad habits or relationships can indicate that the status change in your relationship will be for the good.
Know that a status change doesn’t necessarily mean a breakup. For example, two feuding siblings could figure out how to tolerate each other or a couple afraid to confess their feelings finally does.
Week 2: December 11th to December 17th
Your next week’s card is the Ace of Wands, Reversed. You’re going to be a little shy and cautious moving forward in life, likely because you’re still recovering from the last week. You’re tender and vulnerable, so you’re afraid to rock the boat.
However, while you may not want to initiate things, be open to opportunities that come your way. This is a good compromise. Say “yes” as much as possible. You don’t have to plan this week, but you should be responsive to it.
Week 3: December 18th to December 24th
You may be reckless or unprepared this week. The Page of Swords, Reversed card could indicate you act impulsively or that you’re aware you aren’t ready and hold back.
Not completely uncalled for considering the Wait card earlier. Instead, I’m going to recommend the same advice as last week: don’t try to do new things, just respond to what comes your way. It’s also okay to turn down things you don’t think you could successfully do.
Week 4: December 25th to December 31st
Okay, be prepared for things to happen in rapid succession this week. Here we have the Eight of Wands card which is known for fast movement. Things are likely to come at you so much that you won’t be able to respond to everything.
So this is one reason why not starting anything in the last two weeks can result in your favor.
Some of you may find that what you’re waiting for finally starts to manifest this week. In fact, a lot of things may manifest. This isn’t strange since people tend to communicate and announce things to others by mail or phone around this time.
Be prepared to turn things down this week. Don’t take on more than you can handle.
