Your Past Life Drama: Tarot Pick a Card
Hello, my soul friends! Today I have a past life reading. For some, this reading is merely an interesting story, and for others, it has karmic implications for how you live your life now.
All you have to do is pick the pile that sticks out to you the most. Which crystal inspires your intuition? That’s your pile and that’s your tarot reading.
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Today I’m using the Dark Mirror Oracle deck and the Gimilang Constellation Coin (these are affiliate links that support me if you make a purchase). Remember that you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s go back in time to your past life drama.
Pile 1: Mahagony Obsidian
Political Death
I see that your spread has a lot of epic drama in it. The first card is Perchance to Dream. Because of the other cards, I see this as a murder: the ultimate dramatic act of a previous life was that you were the victim of a murder.
I think in that lifetime you were someone with authority, like a chief, noble, or military commander. I get a strong sense that for many who chose this pile, you may have been part of the tumultuous Roman Empire period or a similar type of period in another culture.
You didn’t expect to be murdered in the way you did even though assassination attempts wouldn’t have been unthinkable. Due to the image of the first card, I think you were killed by someone close to you.
I’m reminded of Icarus getting too close to the sun here: you rose higher than anyone else could handle and burned because of it.
It Shouldn’t Have Happened
Your second card is Sacrifice. The impression I get from your spread is that you acted morally. You may not have always been a good person in every area, but you were in all the parts that counted when it came to power.
But even good leaders make political enemies and it seemed like the sacrifices you made ended up leading to your death.
I get the sense that there was a fallout after your death. Either the people responsible were punished or their coup resulted in poor management.
Few people could have taken the actions you did and your past life paid the ultimate price for it. No good deed goes unpunished, after all.
Your Past Life Was Doomed
The final card is Fated to Suffer. It’s possible your murder was part of the karma from a lifetime previous to this one. For some of you, the struggles of that life may have been necessary for the greater good.
That’s not to say your past life murder should be celebrated. After all, the perpetrators could’ve found other legal methods to address their concerns.
Instead, what I want you to see from your past life is a lot was going on in the world at the time which would’ve been difficult for any individual to take on alone. And when this happens, fate can be too strong to avoid. And you acted with dignity despite all that.
The universe does what it can to make the most of free wills in a situation, but when those free wills are difficult, dramas like your past life unfold.
No Current Karma
I flipped a zodiac coin to determine if this past life is currently affecting your karma. For your spread, I pulled Tails, meaning no.
Consider the drama of this particular past life as an interesting story. There may be some echoes you feel in your current life, but the karmic patterns present in that life were since resolved in subsequent past lives.
Know that however intense a past life can be, all karma is eventually resolved. Have faith that either in this life or the next, your soul will find its peace.

Pile 2: Apatite
Unhappy Marriage
It seems like your spread is an emotional one and you likely feel echoes of it in your current life. The first card, Bride in a Cage, means that in a past life, you had a difficult marriage.
Although it could refer to a male groom, there’s a lot of feminine energy in this spread. So for most of you, it represents a past life where a female incarnation of your soul was in an unhappy marriage or widowed at a young age.
This meant that your past life felt trapped. They had no rights or abilities to find happiness, and I get the distinct impression this marriage was childless. That meant your past life had little love in their life to rely on.
No Happy Emotions
The next card in your spread is I Won’t Cry for You. I see this coming from two ends. For those of you widowed in a past life, you likely didn’t know your husband well enough to feel sad. But for those who were trapped in an unhappy marriage, it was likely arranged or you were stolen from your family.
You had no one in your past life to turn to for help when things went bad and it likely led you to not trust other people because of it.
Victim to Fate
Your third card is Naked Before the Stars. This is a card of vulnerability to fate. What happened in this past life could have been part of a long karmic line.
Sometimes when someone is a victim, they continue to attract bad people because they act like a victim. It’s not on purpose and they would certainly not do it if it could be prevented, but it does create a situation where the abuse cycle isn’t easily broken.
That means what’s happening in this spread may have happened before this past life to some degree and continued to happen afterward in some manner too – including in your current life!
Time to Break the Cycle
The last thing I did for your spread was flip a zodiac coin to determine if that past life is currently affecting your karma. I pulled Heads which means yes.
The emotional wound in your soul is deep. Although it could be manifesting in your life exactly as it did in the last, it could be subtler.
Perhaps you’re afraid to get into a relationship or be married. Some of you may attract bad people, and while you’re quick to push them away, you keep attracting them and you have no idea why!
The reason why is that your soul has this deep wound. But the good news is that you can heal it. Spiritually, consider a practice of affirmations and journaling to help you shift your perspective. And if you have problems manifesting in your life to a severe degree, talk to someone you trust, like a friend or therapist.
Know that you deserve to be loved with dignity.

Pile 3: Tiger’s Eye
Sexual Power
You’ve got an interesting past life with quite a bit of drama. The first card is The Temple of My Body and because of the context of the rest of your spread, it seems like you used your good looks to your advantage. That’s not always a bad thing (beauty is to be admired and cherished), but it seems as if your past life did so in such a way as to gain power against the weak.
Know that your past life is not who you are today and it’s likely this particular life happened far in the past. I sense that this past life may have been as a temple prostitute in a more ancient religion or brothel worker before the modern era. Some who chose this pile might’ve used sex to rise to political power.
There’s a lot of narcissism here, and I don’t sense that your past life failed in their attempts to seize control.
But beauty is fleeting and people age, so I believe this power was temporary.
Paying Back What You Owe
Your second card is Atonement. I do think your past life understood that their actions were bad or they needed to pay the price later in life. Because of all the swords stabbing the back of the second and third cards, I think your past life made many enemies and suffered because of it.
But I don’t think you were murdered and instead faced social banishment. Instead, this past life had to live with the consequences of their narcissism when their good looks could no longer be relied upon in old age.
Unfortunately, you burned a lot of bridges and you likely lived your last years in either irrelevance or poverty.
However, I think that the suffering at the end of your life zeroed out a lot of the karma built up during that lifetime. This is why I don’t think this past life carried into future lives as would normally happen.
And indeed, the very trait of learning from your mistakes may have actually come from the drama of this past life.
The End of a Life
The final card in your spread is Addicted. For many who chose this pile, your last years in this past life were likely battling addictions (gambling, drugs, et cetera). Some may have even overdosed or committed suicide to end their suffering.
My take from this past life drama is that it’s easy to give into our worst character traits to manifest the natural gifts we have (like beauty, intelligence, or skill). You may sometimes feel this same pull, but I imagine the majority who chose this pile push back on it. You already learned your lesson and you’re a much better person now.
And that’s because you have a soul memory of what happens when you give into your worst instincts for power.
Karma Not Connected
The coin in your spread is a zodiac one I flipped to determine whether or not your past life’s karma was manifesting in your current life. I pulled a Tails, meaning no.
This could be because this past life happened many lifetimes ago or, as it has indicated in this spread, your soul worked out that karma before death.
Although you may at times feel hints of this past life in your current one, it’s not your story anymore. It can be interesting to know about past lives and can sometimes impart knowledge about things we struggle with, but remember that this past life is not your current one. You’ve probably had hundreds or even thousands of past lives.
Whatever connections you feel to this past life are mere shadows because you’ve already done the work to overcome them. So any time you learn about a past life, remember that it’s this one you’re currently living that matters most right now.
