What’s Happening for You: Tarot Pick a Card

Did you know the universe is setting into motion something to make your life better? If you were directed to this reading, then the universe wants you to know what that is.

Pile 1: Corgi

An Amazing Person

The first card in your spread is the King of Cups. I rarely sense one of the standard meanings of court cards being a specific person, but in this case, it’s true. The King of Cups is either a compassionate person seeking to help you or a romantic partner.

But, in general, it seems like the universe is trying to organize your life around better social and emotional experiences. To some degree, this seems to be coming from another person: someone is going to intervene to provide you assistance or the feeling of togetherness. A few of you may meet with a therapist or some sort of advisor.

You can’t do everything alone, and it seems like the universe is sending someone to help you.

There are a lot of messages on this card, but what you need to know is that this person is trustworthy and warm. Of course, you can’t rely on them for everything, but just as you need some help they’ll appear and do their best.

So be on the lookout for this helper and don’t reject their assistance. They want to help you just because it’s a nice thing to do or because they care about you.

In Command of Yourself

Your next card is the Ace of Swords. This is about you starting a new intellectual journey or exploring some sort of idea you have. Because of the King of Cups, you’ll experience clarity in your life direction and act accordingly.

Now I don’t sense that this person is going to hold your hand once you start going down this path, but they will be by your side or have given you the tools to face the obstacles in front of you.

This is a card of independence but also communication. I think you’ll have more autonomy in your life, but your emotional security will help you to reach out when you have questions, concerns, or just want to spend time with other people.

You’re going to feel a divide between your personal and social life but in an energizing way. You’ll appreciate what it means to enjoy solitude as well as togetherness.

This is your emotional security showing itself and that will help you manifest the life you want.

Your Personal Abundance

The third card in your spread is the Nine of Pentacles. This is a card of solitude, but here I imagine a person with an amazing social life retreating to a private garden to enjoy their personal hobbies.

When you meet the King of Cups you aren’t going to become co-dependent with them, even if this person turns out to be a romantic partner. Rather, this person is going to help regulate your emotions which will empower you to become the best version of yourself.

While you should always endeavor to be a complete person in relationships, that’s not always possible. Sometimes you need help, and once you get that help, you bloom.

Pile 2: Octopus

No Longer Living in Regret

You’re going to be given the opportunity to revisit the past and have some closure according to the Six of Cups card. A decision you made in the past that you regret, such as ending a relationship, pursuing a particular career, and et cetera, is going to be re-offered to you.

That doesn’t mean everyone in this pile is going to accept their re-do, but you will revisit the past and work through your regrets so you can be fully in command of your acceptance or rejection of this opportunity.

We don’t always get a do-over, but in this case, the universe has found a way to align things to allow you to try again. It’s a bit like going back in time and revising your life narrative.

So how should you take this opportunity? As you revisit your past and confront your regret I want you to have the perspective of a child. You need optimism and enthusiasm for your dreams.

Believe that the best is possible and then compare it to your present. For some of you, you’ll want to return to your regret and embrace it, while for others, you’re going to reject it because you like your current life better. But it’s your choice and your regrets will fall away.

You’re In Control

The second card in your spread is the Seven of Cups. This is a card of options, both good and bad. Although you’ll be given a do-over it’s important to realize that the future is unwritten no matter what you choose.

There are ways you can make the most of any situation or allow it to falter. Don’t let this reality depress you – allow it to empower you.

What the universe is giving you here is the ability to write the next chapter of your destiny. This time, the universe is stepping back and giving you as much room as possible to control your life.

This means you’re likely to feel things being easier at first and that there isn’t a lot of resistance. This freeform karmic energy won’t last forever, but it is going to help you set the tone for your life going forward.

But you must make the decision. The universe isn’t going to do that for you. Now it’s your responsibility (and privilege).

Take Your Time

I see that the last card in your spread is the Four of Swords. This is a contemplative card and one of rest. You have some time to live in this nostalgic state before you make a decision. Don’t rush into anything as you confront this regret of yours.

Get in touch with your spirituality. Not so much divination or fortune-telling (your future is open-ended anyway in this instance), but to check in with yourself. Mindfulness is key here because it will help you to evaluate your desires in life.

Some things have changed since you made that regret, but not everything. Be in a meditative state so you can fully appreciate this.

Guided meditations are good, but any contemplative spiritual practice will be sufficient. For some of you, traditional self-care like having a bath, going for a run, or enjoying your hobbies will help you slow things down and get to know yourself too.

Consider Your Personality

The universe is going to offer you something, perhaps multiple things, and you’re not going to accept it. Your first card, Four of Cups, is about the paradox of choice and being disconnected from your life.

A few things are going on here and it may be a bit different for everyone who chose this pile. But know that what is being offered is good.

Perhaps for some of you, the paradox of choice is overwhelming. There are too many options and you can’t decide which one is best. Spoiler: they’re all good and it’s personal preference.

Others who chose this pile aren’t considering their values and personality when they make decisions. Because of that, they’re unhappy with the decisions they do make, so they avoid making decisions in general so as not to repeat the same mistake.

But again: all options being offered to you right now or soon are objectively good. The only question that remains is which one you prefer for personality reasons.

Let’s use career planning. Someone going to university has the choice between two paths: medicine and teaching biology. Both have amazing career potential and the student can’t decide. They’re afraid they’ll make the wrong choice.

But what they should do is ask themselves what seems more enjoyable. Do they have the personality of an ambitious doctor or the compassionate affection of a teacher?

Take This Seriously

The second card in your spread, Renewal, is a second chance at your life purpose. It’s not too late to decide on what you’re being offered. However, you need to take it seriously and you need to commit to your decision once you make it (at least for some time).

You need to live as if this decision will be the rest of your life that way you can give it the personal attention it deserves. People tend to grow into their decisions. Young adults who have a child by accident are often a great example of this: they’ll pick a good career over a dream career and find meaning in the job they’re in anyway.

No matter what you choose, even if it turns out not to be the best decision, you can make it your best reality going forward. You have the power to enjoy something simply because you learn how to do it well and enjoy the work.

Now, this decision may be career-related, it could be a relationship, or even something like a hobby. That said, it is consequential no matter what decision it’s going to be. It will affect your whole life in some way.

Success Is Yours

The final card in your spread is The Chariot. This is a card of determination and bravely charging forward: but it’s also a card of victory.

Know that whatever you decide, you’re going to make it a success. The road may be long at times, but you’ll find the effort rewarding.
