What Will Make You Happy: Tarot Pick a Card
When I’m feeling down, I’ll shuffle some tarot cards to work out with my spirit guides on how to find happiness. Today, I’m going to help you find joy in your life too with this psychic tarot pick a card.
All you have to do is select one of the piles of cards above that sticks out to you the most. Look at those smiling faces. Don’t you just feel the happiness flowing into your soul?
After you select your cards, scroll down to your pile or choose below.
Here I’m using the Everyday Tarot and the Angels and Ancestors oracle decks (these are affiliate links that help support me if you make a purchase). Remember you have free will. That means you can manifest the positive and avoid the negative of any reading.
Now let’s discover how to increase your happiness.
Pile 1: Pink Hair
You’re Hurt By the World
Your first card reveals a deep wound or pain that you’re currently experiencing. Here we have The World, Reversed. I sense that the meaning here is literal. Perhaps you’re emotionally or physically affected by current events.
You may feel like you have no control over your life. It may even seem like the world has turned into a dark and dangerous place. This can create anxiety and hopelessness within you because you’ll come to believe you have no path forward.
Find Your Moments of Joy
Your next card is Sun with the wisdom message of “Enjoy Success and Happiness.” The universe believes that you’re too focused on your external environment. A good example of this is the news. Tragedies in the world can affect us, but they don’t usually influence our daily lives.
However, we can look closer. Someone who lives in a dangerous city may feel like their external environment is something to be concerned about. Perhaps there really is a threat in your external environment that you can’t forget about.
That said, the message of this card is to empower yourself and focus on what you do have control over. What lights you up? What makes you happy?
Cling and revel to what matters to you. This may be family, friends, or your passion. When I have a bad day, I’ll go watch something funny.
Do what you can to improve your spirits, even temporarily, so you don’t wallow in a pit of despair. You can choose to be happy. You can find happiness in whatever places that can be reached.
Don’t worry so much about the big things. Enjoy your little things.
Open the Door
The last card in your spread may be a surprise. Here we have Protection Guardian with the wisdom message of “Drop Your Shields.” I’m not advocating for you to be reckless or irresponsible with your safety. Instead, I think you should recognize the way you close yourself off to the good in the world. Because there is good.
Here’s an example: are you so afraid of danger that you won’t travel? Yes, some countries have dangerous places, but there are often traveler groups with bodyguards and interpreters so you can visit wonderful places safely.
Instead of automatically saying no, ask if there’s a way to counter the perceived threat you see with appropriate protections. This should help you enter into a bubble where you feel protected and can live more like a free person.
Your goal is dropping your shields is an emotional one. If you feel protected, you’ll reach out to others and experiences so you enjoy the moment.

Pile 2: Blue Hair
You’re Not Connected
The first card in your spread represents a wound you have. Here I see The Hermit, Reversed, which indicates either a harmful fixation on knowledge or being alone. Overall, the energy is one of social isolation.
If you have a harmful fixation on knowledge, then you probably aren’t engaging with others in a social setting. Many people who consider themselves intelligent or bookish struggle to connect with others. This is a real phenomenon because smart people can have difficulty striking up conversations with normal people as they only choose erudite topics to discuss.
However, if your issue is simply feeling alone, it could be because you put yourself on a path that isolates you from others. This is often the case for people who are shy or who have interests and hobbies which are solo. People who travel or left a hometown can experience this too. Regardless, this leads to being uncertain about how to rejoin society and be embraced.
Allow Others to Show Their Personality
Your second card is Heart Guardian with the wisdom message of “Love and Let Yourself Be Loved”. I sense that the core of your problem is the inability to reach out to others using empathy. Relationships are not formed solely based on interest. People consider others friends and family because they show care.
This isn’t easy to do if you’re rusty. Sharing an interest with someone or having an interesting conversation on your end isn’t sufficient to show care.
Letting the other person bring up conversation topics or ask questions allows them to express themselves. See a conversation about the weather as an opportunity to ask what they love to do when it rains. Then they’ll ask you too or you can share.
Let Yourself Feel
The final card in your spread is Water Guardian with the wisdom message of “Connect With Your Emotions.” I do sense that you aren’t trusting your heart as much as you should when it comes to other people.
Always ask how yourself how someone makes you feel when you’re around them. If you feel anxious in a bad way, avoid that person. But if your anxiety is one of eagerness, embrace that feeling and allow it to motivate you to speak with them.
Your emotions are key to helping you build sympathy and empathy in conversations. It also increases your desire to be around someone and your intentions will be more sincere because of it.
When you’re true to your emotions, you don’t tend to act or put on a false front. This sincerity will shine through when you speak with others. That attracts and encourages others.

Pile 3: Red Hair
You’re Leaving Someone or Something Behind
Your first card symbolizes your current struggle. The Eight of Cups can represent leaving or needing the leave a situation. This could be because relationships or passions have broken down.
Do you see how the man is leaving his entire wealth behind? No doubt this is a painful decision, but necessary or inevitable.
The moon in the card also indicates some measure of intuition. Look within: what does your intuition say you must do right now? That’s a powerful clue.
You’re Leaving Someone or Something Behind
For whatever reason, your spread doesn’t indicate if leaving is a choice. Rather, I think your spread is about the pain that leaving is going to cause. That’s why your next card, Mirror Guardian, is so important. Her wisdom message is “Take Time to Reflect.”
Notice how her mirror doesn’t reflect herself, but the cosmos. When you’re reflecting, you need to consider the consequences of leaving. Perhaps it will be good. Perhaps it will be bad. Perhaps you’ve already left and now you’re trying to figure out how it’s going to affect you.
The reason you need this time for self-reflection is that you likely left or will leave some part of yourself in the process. You may see this as a bad thing, but regardless, it needs to evolve into a position of growth and learning.
Whatever happens in life, you don’t have to perceive it as trauma, but instead, history. This will help you to look at what happened objectively so you can glean some greater understanding from it to improve your future. How were you hurt in the past? How did you hurt yourself?
Knowing this is the first step to truly moving on and creating new abundance in your life.
Get Excited About Your Future
Your last card is Lord with the wisdom message of “Take Charge with Authority.” I also sense another meaning here: do you see how the man is surrounded by nature? This environmental element gives an air of adventure – especially because of the rams in the background.
Rams are the symbol for the zodiac sign of Aries. Aries is about passionate beginnings. Yes, they can be impulsive, but there’s no one I trust more to get something started than an Aries.
It’s also the first sign in the zodiac, giving it a youthful energy. Don’t see your leaving as an ending, but as the start of a new beginning. How do you want your life to look going forward? Now’s the time to initiate that personal blessing!
You will have more control over your life soon. That means you can make more decisions for yourself. That does suggest some responsibility too – don’t be surprised if, like an Aries, you might start something you regret. It happens with this energy.
Focus on the good instead. And maybe use your time for self-reflection to make some rudimentary plans you’ll be happy with.
